Pub was comfortable and an easy location in Yarmouth. What would have been good to know when we booked was that on Friday and Saturday they have live music which sounds as if it is playing right inside your bedroom. Friday night was the most awful karaoke and it was basically in our bedroom till about 11.15pm which was not enjoyable. Saturday was a singer also in our room till about 10.30pm. So incredibly noisy. Room was basic but OK, we were also above the noisy alleyway next where they would park and empty out all the bottles etc from pub. Staff were very nice and pleasant, we were able to park our bikes in the courtyard for the duration as well.

Come over the island for a night found this pub on hotels.co , would defo use again the staff were so friendly the room was lovely and clean had every thing you need set in a lovely old inn , they were great with the dog to we will be back

Friendly staff. Central location and very close to ferry. Good food. We were able to park right outside after 6pm. The room was excellent and spacious but let down on just one small annoyance - the shower is a hand held one in the bath but the hook on the wall for the shower head was broken and you had to hold the shower head all the time.

Olde worlde pub. Rooms comfortable but a bit shabby. Breakfast was extra and would suit those who like a meaty fry-up - we are vegetarian. There is no parking at the hotel.

Central location, upstairs from the pub. Very quiet at night, rooms were generous and the bathroom exceptional. Linen and bedding was of a very high standard. Breakfast offered, £15pp . Dog friendly. Value for money, our expectations were exceeded on every level Highly recommended.

Good for a stay in Yarmouth. The pub and staff were nice. Great location by the sea front and ferry crossing. Our room was a bit dated, smelt a bit musty and its either a bath or a hand held shower. Theres no parking, and only free parking after 6pm.

Lovely inn in the heart of Yarmouth. Really nice recpetionist, clean room with a very comfortable bed. Spacious ensuite with a very deep bath. Beer garden was a lovely spot for drinks.

We liked the bar and dining area but the bedrooms upstairs seemed to be in some need of investment, especially No 1 where we were first accommodated. After our first night we were moved to No 2 which was much better. There is no car-park for the property and parking in the centre of the town was expensive.

This pub was excellent for a stay in Yarmouth and room more spacious than we expected with a living area as well as bedroom. Rooms and furniture could do with an uplift but all good value for money. Could be improved with a B&B rate which we actually thought we had booked. Pub area was good and excellent outside area for catching the sun :)

Loved it. Beautiful room, clean tidy. The building is beautiful, loved the old world charm mixed with modern areas and facilities. The lounge was in a time warp. Breakfast was nice, staff were friendly and welcoming. Perfect location for us too.

I travel quite often, and have stayed in all kinds of places, including some pretty basic B&Bs. I’ve got to say this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in, it’s about 20 years past needing a full restoration in the bedrooms and bathrooms, and it wasn’t even particularly clean. I had a terrible night sleep in a very uncomfortable bed that was not long enough for Anyone taller than 6’2” I was also kept awake all night by the noisiest central heating system I’ve ever come across. Every 20 minutes it would clank and bang in my room, I tried turning the valves on the radiators off, but it didn’t help. There was no shower, which would be okay if the bath was a normal size and had taps that could fill it in less than 20 minutes. Instead, I had a very uncomfortable soak in a bath that was so narrow it pressed against both hips. The state of decor was disgusting, huge handprints on the wall (see photo), paint flaking of everything, windows that were installed in the 1920s, and have not been painted since. You get the idea, I don’t need to list everything. Stay away from here.

Hi unfortunately the bath panel wasn’t fixed properly and the shower had to be hand held as the fixing g was broken and the quilt was dirty stained so we had to use the spare duvet -room was a bit tired -this was mentioned on leaving Food was ok though

We were only staying for one night but the bathroom was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Bedroom was equipped with refreshments but the decor was a little tired. Lovely breakfast and a good choice of hot and cold food. Very pleasant staff in all areas.

On the whole a good stay. Staff and food excellent. Only downside for me at 6 feet tall was being in a attic room with very low sloping ceilings which caught me out several times when not concentrating like switching on the kettle, getting out of the bath and even using the loo. I have a few reminders of my stay.

The Bugle is in a prime location on the quay at Yarmourth. The bar area has a wide selection of drinks and is very busy and active... very good for early evening .... the staff were great and helpful and very chatty. The rooms were a little 'tired' and would benefit from modernisation. This is the second time we have stayed there in the past 3 years whoever we are unlikely to stay again until the rooms are upgraded

Reasonably priced and clean room, with plenty of space (room 3). We even had a hint of a sea view. Bath fixtures could use maintenance; an adjustable height shower would be a great improvement. Bed was comfortable. It’s not a modern building so has plenty of charm but expect noise to carry - we could hear the morning deliveries, refuse collection, and the evening music. Catering is OK but nothing special. Located right near the ferry and other pubs in Yarmouth. Overall great value for money.

We were welcomed and shown our room which was very comfortable, especially the beds. It's a lovely pub right in the centre of town and a minute's walk from the ferry. Only one key between the two of us. We're not a couple so may have wanted to go home at different times which would've been awkward. The bathroom layout was weird. The bath was placed under a sloping ceiling so you couldn't stand up for a shower, and the door didn't lock. Nice hot water though.

My children found 9 (NINE) sharp tacks/pins on the floor. It could have been a nightmare if they stepped on one of them. They most likely came from the beds which looked pretty knackered. Next morning, we reported it to a guy who worked there, and he only replied to us “thank you” - with NO apology or NO compassion at all, “just get off” impressions. Things would have been ok if his behaviour was more adequate but sadly not. This place is one of finest examples of the things on the Isle of Wight which doesn’t want to change from 1970s. In fact it’s worse because of this guy’s attitude. Shame because this place could be 1000 times better with such an amazing historic building, especially in this pretty town of Yarmouth.

The Bugle Inn is located in an ideal place for a holiday on the Isle of Wight. Yarmouth is a lovely seaside ferry port, great for bus links and great places to eat. We got a very good deal in the Bugle for 4 nights. We were welcomed when we arrived and our room was ready 3 hours before time, so we were able to check in immediately. The staff were very helpful and took our luggage up to our room. We ate twice there - lunch and evening meal. Although fully booked, they were able to accommodate us for dinner. The food is good standard tradtional pub food. They no longer do breakfasts, which is a change from our last visit. But Gossips cafe on the pier does excellent breakfasts. My reasons for not awarding higher are: the mattresses were old and in need of replacement and there was loud music on Friday night till just after 11pm. Because the inn is a listed building, the noise travels easily and we were above the bar area. Im not sure that rooms at the other end would be much quieter. Yes it was Friday night and people like to enjoy themselves, but there has to be a balance between that and the comfort of staying guests. I can not fault the staff. So overall we had a lovely stay particularly for the price.
The Bugle Inn is located in an ideal place for a holiday on the Isle of Wight. Yarmouth is a lovely seaside ferry port, great for bus links and great places to eat. We got a very good deal in the Bugle for 4 nights. We were welcomed when we arrived and our room was ready 3 hours before time, so we were able to check in immediately. The staff were very helpful and took our luggage up to our room. We ate twice there - lunch and evening meal. Although fully booked, they were able to accommodate us for dinner. Bathroom which was much in need of an update, cracked and loose tiling, rubbish shower, noisy saniflo toilet, really poor. Quite frankly I was glad to leave. The picture in the details is very flattering and nothing like reality. Details state that there is parking but there isn't. The parking consists of local parking facilities which need to be paid for. No breakfast during the week, only Saturday/Sunday. Overall a very dissapointing experience. How the AA rating can be 3 star is beyond me, 1 star at best.

Central location, upstairs from the pub. Very quiet at night, rooms were generous and the bathroom exceptional. Linen and bedding was of a very high standard. Breakfast offered, £15pp . Dog friendly. Value for money, our expectations were exceeded on every level Highly recommended.

A very comfortable and pleasant room and the location was perfect! In spite of the football match taking place on the television in the pub below it wasn’t noisy and I was able to relax and get a good sleep!

We liked the bar and dining area but the bedrooms upstairs seemed to be in some need of investment, especially No 1 where we were first accommodated. After our first night we were moved to No 2 which was much better. There is no car-park for the property and parking in the centre of the town was expensive.

Very reasonable price for the location and room size. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food we had in the evening was nicely cooked pub grub. They no longer do breakfasts, but Gossips café by the pier is a stone's throw away and does nice breakfasts. The ensuite in my room on the top floor had a sloping ceiling and that might make it hard for some people to use the bath or toilet, but it was no issue for me. When using the bath, I struggled to get water to come out of the shower head at a suitable temperature, and it was either cold or too hot, no matter how much I played with the taps. If visiting Yarmouth again, I would happily stay at The Bugle again.
