Close to shops and coffee. Two live bands were playing in one of the restaurants during dinner, so there was free entertainment.

I think the highlight of this facility is the bar and restaurant section. While not the best, the hotel is okay.

An older style building that has been updated inside, comfortable beds, warm shower, good aircon and good undercover parking (if you get in before the “entitled” pub patrons who seem to frequent theses parking spots, even though they are designated for motel guests! TV works, a nice touch to have cereal packets and milk in the fridge for a light breakfast. Outside noise could be a problem, with a pump or similar on adjacent property making a racket. I’ve paid more for far less at other motels, so all up good value for money. Finding the motel section and checking in is difficult, only because of the configuration of the surrounding roads, nothing to do with the Wallaby Hotel. Staff are helpful, meals appear good in the bistro.

Location: Wallaby Hotel Feedback: Great location, but needs a really good clean. The Balcony in room1 is unusable. Covered in leaves, branches and spider webs. The staff were advised but it was not cleaned. The bathroom floor was really dirty. Old hair and dust in the corners. The dishes were dirty with lipstick on several cups. There is undercover parking and there were only 2 cars in 10 units, but the reserved for motel residents parks were full everyday we stayed abd we struggled to get a park on several afternoons. The parking area was not policed. We did spend time in the restaurant and the staff were really friendly and were helpful but no issues we mentioned were taken care of. If it was just one issue I would of passed it off, but too many cleaning issues need mentioning, especially the rubbish collection which was non existant in the units. We stayed 4 nights.

This was very cheap , basic but lovely staff amazing entertainment, food was excellent So overall this was a bargain and I’ll be back

Our room was large and had clearly been updated, with a very functional kitchenette area that included plates, glasses, cutlery, cups, etc. The TV had plenty of streaming services, although our remote seemed to sometimes control TVs in other rooms and vice versa. Free wifi seemed to work fine for me. Supermarkets and other services were in easy walking distance, with a nice little aquatic centre right next door and a bakery across the road. Downside was that it got very busy (ie, noisy) at night, esp on weekends - but if you don't have underage kids, that becomes an upside - ie joining the crowd for a fun night out seeing a tribute band. That said, kids are well catered for, with a big undercover play area, a reasonable kids menu in the bistro, along with colouring-in packs. Also, while not a major negative, we could sometimes hear the people in adjoining rooms. The most awkward aspect of this pub is that the "front desk" is in an 18 gaming area surrounded by pokies - and while we were checking in my 5 yr old became a little too interested in those machines for my liking. Ditto for the Keno screens that displayed live games in that room and in the bistro.

Common area was clean for a motel. Only there for the 1 night, basically somewhere to sleep as we were visiting the area. The air-conditioning had a very bad mold smell to it, probably hasnt cleaned in a long time. Also maybe have more than 2 pillows on the bed so dont wake up with a sore neck.

The room was comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed, toaster still had previous peoples crumbs all over it though and wild turkey cans on the ground outside on our balcony so clearly hadn’t been cleaned. Some areas seem to have been skipped by the cleaners The noise from the people leaving the pub at 3:30am was not great and unfortunately didn’t get much sleep. They need to be moved on to wait for taxis elsewhere. Food in the pub was great though. Although for the amount spent we would look to stay elsewhere

The shower wasn't cleaned properly (hair on floor) cups to have a coffe or tea weren't cleaned properly other than those 2 things it was good

I love historic hotels. This is an original and still popular with locals, and oozes history. I would love to have eaten there but I was out all day every day, as the menu looks great. I loved the refurb. of the unit with clean new carpet, and everything new. I loved the unit being low key one of 10 separate rooms, and I love the view from the kitchennette window, of green grass tall trees and children's playground, so homely, so much better than large accom. places. I loved the accessibility to the Robina venue I was attending 20 minutes away. ( I want the cleaner to splash some bleach on tiny spot of black mold in shower cos it is all so lovely and new, and it is harder to clean it once it gets a hold, and pour some bleach down the drain hole near the toilet cos it smells cos the last person to shower there was several days ago before my booking, and soapy water has been standing in the pipes.)

The accomodation was clean and set apart from the pub area so it was quiet. It was a good stay. I would definitely visit again. Pretty easy to check-in, although a bit hard to figure out where to go initially.

Bathroom was dirty. Need properly clean

Good for an overnight stay as we had a wedding at Acre Boomerang Room was clean and tidy. Bathroom could do with new tile sealing as its mouldy and not "clean" looking. The lights outaide the rooms are also really bright - all night. We had to use a clip to seal the blinds.

I felt staff did the bare minimum requirements. There was not any cleaning cloth or scourers for the kitchen, the coffee cups were stained, used my finger nails to clean one as best I could, no tea towel, made me wonder how clean dishes were. The room was good for the price bed comfortable, air con working well and super quiet, fridge lovley and cold, no jug for cold water or ice tray, super squeaky hinges on back door

Good sized room but Paper thin noise insulation

Room was connected to another who were able to open the door into our room. Which isn’t comforting. The walls are paper thin so can hear neighbours on both sides and even other parts of of the establishment so much as burp. It is very basic semi clean accomodation

The room was one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. All of them should be like this. It had an actual kitchen sink, microwave, toaster and kettle. Aside from a noisy box aircon instead of a split system - there were no complaints. Only change could be 1 USB-A and 1 USB-C in each of the power points rather than both USB-A only.

Whilst the rooms don’t look like much from the outside, the inside has been revamped and all facilities were clean and modern. Bed was also incredibly comfortable! Staff were brilliant- they were so welcoming and friendly and could not have done more to assist me in an impromptu early check in. Not only were they sympathetic to a weary mum travelling interstate for one night for a wedding, they quickly arranged a cool drink for me whilst engaging cleaning staff to get my room ready almost two hours before usual check in time so that I could have a rest before the event. Thank you Wallaby Hotel!

Nobody at reception and after a call still waited 15 minutes to talk to someone I canceled the stay.

Cheaper & more availability at the time I needed to stay, the ease too of being to book online without a credit card deposit was much better than most hotels!! It wasn't near/close to public transport options but otherwise all good.

Location for my needs, close to Clear Water Island, Robina and Nerang. Price for long stay was good, and helpful staff.

Rooms are comfortable and have recently been renovated and effectively self contained with room service only on request or when they have been vacated. Despite being just off the Pacific Motorway and having music playing on Friday and Saturday nights, once in the room, noise cannot be heard. However, while there is a couple of buses with the stop near the hotel, I would consider more having own transport is a benefit as the buses are only about every half an hour during week days, an hour on weekends and no service after about 6pm. Would also consider property is only suitable for able bodied travellers as there is no lift and rooms are only accessible via staircases of about 15 steps. As per the description, property is about 5-10 minutes from Robina Town Centre for major shops but with a few shops close to the hotel on Railway Street. Overall comfortable accommodation at an old style country pub and for price would stay there again but only if I had my own transport.

In a world where everyone wants to charge top dollar for everything, I was so grateful for a reasonably priced room that was walkable to shops and restaurants, and in fact they have their own restaurant on the premises with a casino too! Thank you for your niche in the world. You made my Travels affordable.
