This was our first time in Weymouth, young couple , We were greeted by very friendly staff Member, she was very informative and helpful , All staff were nice . We had a room which had a beach view first floor stayed for 2 nights. The room was good, from the linen, bathroom and entertainment . Everything was within steps aways to the beach , shops , entertainment, and transport buses. Parking is a nightmare we booked through Expedia please be mindful that if book direct through the Alexander hotel they only have space for 5 cars which on a first come first serve .However if you find space in Zone F Area the Hotel will provide you with a parking permit . As the area is so busy you may find going around several times like we did lol . Apart from that love the experience, visited beautiful places , like Durdel Doors , Portland via Bus tours good service. We will definitely come back to Weymouth and stay at Alexander. 14/08/2025

Parking is awful in Weymouth. However, the hotel was kind enough the allow us to use their private parking. Overall, a pleasant stay in a pleasant town. Food in the nearby pub was excellent.

Tom and the rest of the team could not have been more lovely and accommodating. I 100% recommend the Alexandra Hotel in Weymouth and my partner and I are already looking forward to our next visit. We would love to stay there again. The hotel is a grade 2 listed building full of character, with the most amazingly comfortable sofas in the lounge. The guest notes are full of humour and show how much the owners care about the hotel, the guests, the environment and everyone having a lovely holiday in Weymouth. We arrived early but that wasn't a problem, Tom checked us straight in. He then sorted us out with a parking permit , despite my not arranging anything in advance with the hotel. I'm sure that during peak season this might not be so easy to achieve but I do know that if it's possible and will make the guest's stay better then Tom and the team will do their upmost to meet your needs.
Tom and the rest of the team could not have been more lovely and accommodating. I 100% recommend the Alexandra Hotel in Weymouth and my partner and I are already looking forward to our next visit. Spent a week at the Alexandra hotel and was overall satisfied with my visit. Check-in was quick and easy and staff offered to help take ourbags to our room. View was amazing, bed was comfy and was overall impressed with the entire room. Breakfast options limited but good for a relaxing bite to eat in the morning. Access to activities is very good but was not satisfied with parking options. Free parking was not available for us as we booked through another website despite the description stating there was parking available on-site. No parking permits were available for our stay either so had to pay full price for parking in the nearby overnight car park. Would stay again but would book through Alexandra's main website to offer the chance of parking without the need to pay.

The hotel was in an excellent location near to the beach, the harbour and several bars and restaurants. The property itself was an old Georgian hotel. The room was on the third floor and there is no lift so ideally you will be fit. The room and bathroom were clean. The mattress was far too soft. I would recommend a firmer mattress

A lovely convenient hotel on the sea front. Room was spacious enough and over looked the fairground in front of it. But you could also see the beach and sea from our window too. Nice complimentary bottles of water and biscuits with our tea and coffee facilities in the room. All replenished again for the second day. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment on that. Great value for the room. No parking available right next to it so had to park in the main Pavilion car park which is a bit of a walk away (for me anyway). No lift as it’s an old building. This is our second visit and we’ll definitely be staying there again.

Very good location. Shame about limited parking but seems like it’s the same all over for the hotels. We realise it’s a very old building but our room needed a lot of updating. Even the carpet was very marked.

After a long journey down to Weymouth i got to the hotel and was greeted by a very friendly lady who explained everything very well to me and even asked and showed me to my room. The room itself was very clean and spacious and quite big as well. Overall a very nice stay. I will come back when im next in Weymouth

Wonderful staff, very friendly, welcoming, professional and helpful. Unfortunately, the carpet in our room and our son's room was filthy. Our room was tiny, making it uncomfortable. I would say the rooms weren't good value for the money, however, breakfast was very good value. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean. Plumbing very noisy but closing the bathroom door fixed that. I liked The Alexander because the staff were exceptionally good.

Nothing like laying in bed and looking up at a 4”soil pipe and hearing foul waste going through it, also the maids cleaning the other rooms with the hoover going at 7.30am on a sunday was not what we needed after a late night.

The staff were absolutely brilliant and breakfast really good but im afraid wasnt impressed with room or rooms shall we say , first double room very small although with a sea view but looked so much bigger on website , i asked to get moved to a bigger room across where i was to number4 and no joking was kept up with constant pidgeon coo hoo coo hoo coo hoo first thing from 5am and never stopped , had to keep window closed but even then was shocking , i fully understand its the council responsibility but its really horrible as the pidgeons are loud , i left the hotel needing more sleep than when i arrived , had nightmares ever since came back to scotland !!!!!! , its a shame because the staff are brilliant but they can only do what they can and the breakfast really good but sorry i wont be coming back to the hotel .

When I asked why I could not park in the hotel’s parking bays, three out of four of which remained vacant throughout our stay, I was told that parking is available only for guests who book directly with the hotel and not through websites such as Hotels.com. This is incorrect, as the Hotels.com listing makes no mention of such a restriction. The rooms also did not quite match the photos displayed online. The images on the website appear mixed up, with some photographs shown under the lower-priced rooms actually belonging to higher room categories. This is misleading, and the hotel should ensure that the photos accurately represent each room type.

Extremely helpful and pleasant staff (I made an error with booking which was easily sorted). Comfortable well equipped room with tea/coffee and even USB sockets. Everything you could need near the hotel. Great continental breakfast for a very reasonable price. Overall excellent value.

Enjoyed a lovely stay at New Year , the hotel is ideally located. Check in was easy , the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious with a great outlook over the seafront. Room facilities were great with everything you’d expect to find . Would definitely recommend a stay here and hope to be back there again in the future.

Lovely staff who gave me a hand when my plans fell through, also really good with communication in the app. The room was small but comfortable and warm with everything I needed. Right beside the beach, very walkable to the rail and bus stations, with a few blocks of city shopping alongside. Very pleased with my short stay in Weymouth

The staff were absolutely brilliant and breakfast really good but im afraid wasnt impressed with room or rooms shall we say , first double room very small although with a sea view but looked so much bigger on website , i asked to get moved to a bigger room across where i was to number4 and no joking was kept up with constant pidgeon coo hoo coo hoo coo hoo first thing from 5am and never stopped , had to keep window closed but even then was shocking , i fully understand its the council responsibility but its really horrible as the pidgeons are loud , i left the hotel needing more sleep than when i arrived , had nightmares ever since came back to scotland !!!!!! , its a shame because the staff are brilliant but they can only do what they can and the breakfast really good but sorry i wont be coming back to the hotel .

Extremely helpful and pleasant staff (I made an error with booking which was easily sorted). Comfortable well equipped room with tea/coffee and even USB sockets. Everything you could need near the hotel. Great continental breakfast for a very reasonable price. Overall excellent value.

Wonderful staff, very friendly, welcoming, professional and helpful. Unfortunately, the carpet in our room and our son's room was filthy. Our room was tiny, making it uncomfortable. I would say the rooms weren't good value for the money, however, breakfast was very good value. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean. Plumbing very noisy but closing the bathroom door fixed that. I liked The Alexander because the staff were exceptionally good.

Spent a week at the Alexandra hotel and was overall satisfied with my visit. Check-in was quick and easy and staff offered to help take ourbags to our room. View was amazing, bed was comfy and was overall impressed with the entire room. Breakfast options limited but good for a relaxing bite to eat in the morning. Access to activities is very good but was not satisfied with parking options. Free parking was not available for us as we booked through another website despite the description stating there was parking available on-site. No parking permits were available for our stay either so had to pay full price for parking in the nearby overnight car park. Would stay again but would book through Alexandra's main website to offer the chance of parking without the need to pay.

Was an acquaint little place to stay in a perfect location for Weymouth. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Lovely and clean didn’t have the breakfast because we didn’t have enough time, but it is nice for a continental breakfast.

Hotel had a great central location, short walk to the beach and railway station. Staff very helpful and friendly, however, staying on the 3rd floor in a heatwave was not ideal. The fan provided in the room was badly needed, even with window wide open the floor of the room heated the room to an uncomfortable level. I do recommend this hotel, just not the 3rd floor
