We had an amazing Christmas at the Hatchet. Christmas Eve food was great and local musicians provided excellent entertainment which everyone in the pub joned in with. A fantastic atmosphere. The hotel rooms were warm and comfortable. Although we had one minor glich with our room, it was dealt with quickly and professionally. Thank you Gerry. We will certainly be staying at The Hatchet next time we are visiting Wiltshire.

Very charming. We had a lovely dinner in front of a crackling log fire. My partner’s onion soup was the best he’d ever tasted, even better than fancy restaurants in Paris! The bedroom was set apart from the main building so it was nice and quiet and we slept well. We got up early for winter solstice sunrise at Stonehenge intending to be back in time for breakfast, however we were a little late back, but the owner was very accommodating and made sure we still got fed. We would happily stay there again!

Nice and friendly. Locally owned and operated, not a chain. Great service and good food.

An overnight stay, we had a cosy meal with log fire and traditional pub food. The family bedroom was tired, filled with cobwebs, dust and filthy carpet. It is a shame as the thatched pub is very unique.

The room was clean enough, but not spotless. A mark on the sheet, cobwebs etc, but all hygienic. The room smelt slightly damp. With that out of the way, the service was friendly, the room was a good size and bed comfortable, shower excellent. It was all adjoined to a lovely village pub in a great location.
