There was construction blocking the entrance to the residence with no detour signs. We spent 45 minutes driving around trying to figure out how to get in. Also the advertised address is wrong causing confusion with cabs and Ubers so again had to walk through a fenced construction zone. Very poor planning. We should have been informed and detour signs should be posted

Overall, good and affordable. However, we needed to park 10min away and walk back to the building. I recommend parking in their temporary parking, unload, check-in, drop off luggage, then get back out to park the car.

New rooms, however having the individual bedroom doors automatically walk seems like it can cause a problem. The property is under heavy construction. Getting off campus requires lots of walking and is even more difficult with the construction.

The price and location was very good. The rooms are dorm rooms and the furniture/decor is dated. The beds were comfortable. The only issue we had was that much of the campus was under construction and so many roads were closed. It was hard to get to where you wanted to go. Also, there are 3 dorms with different locations and different parking lots. that wasn’t clear in our reservation so we went to the wrong building first and had to figure out how to get to the right one. If we’d know which dorm and parking lot to go to or been provided a work around for how to get there it would have helped

This is a convenient, inexpensive place to stay if you have access to a vehicle or are travelling in a group. Free parking came with free EV charging too. Check in staff late at night were great. Morning staff did not have a can - do attitude: seemed more bored and bothered by requests :( The Expedia summary said free breakfast but it's actually only free coffee. Decaf coffee was either out or hard to get

We found it hard to find on campus (clearer indication of address and signs on campus would have been helpful), plus dead bugs on the bathroom floor is not inviting to walk barefoot when taking a shower. Makes me wonder where else there could be critters.

Great value. Having private rooms within the unit was a great plus. Beds were hard but good enough for a night. Short drive to downtown core. There were a few ants crawling around so keep your belongings off the ground.

This hotel is a college dorm most of the year. It is rented a a hotel in the summer. The room stunk horribly of cigarettes. A coworker of mine commented that they didnt know i smoked. I dont smoke I spent the night in an ashtray of a hotel room and the stink is on me. Foul !

Found a vitamin water or something like it under the bed. Maybe it was missed in the cleaning or something but just wanted to pass on. Was under the impression when we booked that because of photos of a kitchenette that we might have some basic things to cook which was a little bit of a downside as that would've been nice during the visit to have the option.

It was a great stay we were in town to go to the hospital it was nice and close very clean the rooms and beds were comfortable all the amenities you would require it's nothing fancy but it's very clean and comfortable parking was included

When I booked this originally I thought it was a residence inn, we get there and its essentially a dorm that is used as a hotel in the summer months. That being said, it was clean and quiet and the A/C worked great. We had a nice large living area and a mini kitchen with a full sized fridge and small dining area. 2 bedrooms on either side of the living area, I believe the beds were full or doubles but we made do, they were pretty comfortable once we brought up our own pillows. Dont expect any frills though. Very basic room, and virtually no amenities. No ice, no pool, no gym, no breakfast. There was coffee during the morning from like 7-11. All in all we would definitely stay here again, especially if coming with a group and planning to stay for a few days to explore Erie and Huron (both within an hour drive).

We appreciated the amount of room we had in our suite and the comfortable furniture in the lounge area. Bedrooms were large also, and having two bathrooms was a real plus for four people! On the other hand, the microwave was tiny and seemed to be poorly balanced like it had the wrong turntable platter. The TV was small and had standard cable which required endless surfing or use of the guide channel. A printed listing of the channels would have been useful.

This is a very nice student residence hall on the edge of town. The rooms are clean, the linens are good quality and the beds are comfortable. You get up to four bedrooms and two bathrooms in each suite, so it is great for familes and groups. Soundproofing is good. We didn't hear the many teenage softball players who were in the rooms near us. It's miles from the center of town and UWO (on the Fanshaw campus), so you are driving to anything and everything in the summertime. In sumner 2025, there are lots of closed roads on that side of town, so look closely at Google Maps before trying to go anywhere.

It is a school residence for students. Dorm rooms.I hated the flat sheets for bottom sheet they need to invest in fitted sheets. No cable but had wifi. It was adequate but expensive for just a sitting room and bed.

When we arrived, the room we'd booked wasn't available. The staff were exceptionally helpful and found us rooms in another residence. Despite the mayhem of several sports teams checking in at the same time, the staff remained courteous and efficient.

Took the payment again after we had already paid through Expedia. Also no hot water for showering and the guests were advised at check in that the hotel planned to shut down the power to the entire building at 6:00 am the next morning until 5:00 p.m. Not satisfactory at all and I am still waiting on the hotel to get back to me regarding the double payment.

The building was hard to find, it’s not called the conference centre on the property. No one was at the desk when we tried to check in, it took almost 20 minutes for the employee to return. I was also double charged for the room, after paying for the room that night, my card was charged a second under a different Fanshawe name.

This property should NEVER be rented. I thought it was like a Residence Inn. Instead it is on a college campus that is totally under construction. The parking lot was quite far from the door, the construction has everything a mess! The address that I was given was completely wrong. I was very frustrated!

Watch out - Google maps takes you to the road behind the hotel and you need to drive quite a bit further and meander your way in to get to the building. It's the Merlin house.

This is a very nice student residence hall on the edge of town. The rooms are clean, the linens are good quality and the beds are comfortable. You get up to four bedrooms and two bathrooms in each suite, so it is great for familes and groups. Soundproofing is good. We didn't hear the many teenage softball players who were in the rooms near us. It's miles from the center of town and UWO (on the Fanshaw campus), so you are driving to anything and everything in the summertime. In sumner 2025, there are lots of closed roads on that side of town, so look closely at Google Maps before trying to go anywhere.

All in all it was nice, nice campus to walk around. Nice common area with snacks and drinks for purchase. Lots of room with 2 bathrooms which was very nice. We had a little trouble finding it at first, the directions were just to the college and then after a while I finally found a couple signs for residence and there were 2, we didn’t know if we were staying at Merlin or Peregrine residence, luckily, when we finally found a residence and front door, we were at the right place. It would be nice if they improved driving/where to check in directions. Also, bring your own blanket as the one provided is very small and not cozy. Otherwise our stay was fine.

A great inexpensive choice during summer. A friend and I shared a common room with separate bedrooms. Full-size fridge, microwave. Don’t expect usual hotel amenities like coffee maker and hair dryer but rooms were clean and comfortable. Great option for a group of friends. Bring your own dishes and cutlery. Great price!

It was good for our purposes. We were there for a track and field competition so it gave everyone their own bed and room for sleeping. Amenities on site were non-existent but we were there just to sleep as we were at the event all day. Bring own dishes and groceries if you plan to eat in your room. Nothing available. It’s a college dorm and you can tell. The beds were comfortable.

Everything about the room was good, nice and clean. The coffee was so bad though and there wasn’t any continental breakfast like other residences that we’ve stayed at so that was disappointing but overall safe and clean

We had a really spacious sweet with 2 bedrooms for a fantastic price! We had a kitchen area so we could just have our own meals there. I will definitely stay there again! Everything was clean, fresh towels. If you do want someone to come and switch out towels and such you just contact the front desk. Everyone was super friendly. Definitely recommend!

Finding the right building was tough, but the staff was helpful. Security doors and card access felt odd for a hotel but made sense for a college dorm. Surprisingly, rooms were available in summer. Found a vitamin water or something like it under the bed. Maybe it was missed in the cleaning or something but just wanted to pass on. Was under the impression when we booked that because of photos of a kitchenette that we might have some basic things to cook which was a little bit of a downside as that would've been nice during the visit to have the option.

Nice large rooms. We stayed in a quad with access to 2 of the 4 bedrooms. Pleased that there were two bathrooms in the unit, as well as a sitting and dining area, and large fridge and microwave in the kitchenette.

AC was great. So much room as we each had a bed. Bed not really big enough for two adults so i requested two bedrooms, which was the perfect choice. We also had two bathrooms so this was fantastic
