Stayed 2 nights

We checked in late and the clear instructions were great, but throughout our 2 day stay we never saw any staff, very limited tea/coffee in room and we had to pay if we wanted more, water in rooms was not drinking water, we were provided with one bottle.for two days! and as there was no one around to ask for more ended up buying more ourselves to use, breakfast very disappointing and expensive, bed was comfortable

Staff were really friendly and chatty. It was very welcoming and easy to get to. Onsite restaurant sold really delicious food as well. We stayed here while visiting WWT Slimbridge and it was just what we needed.

Very clean and comfortable but breakfast was very poor - basically poor quality croissants and toast. Also not staffed at night and no instructions on how to get help if problems with the room or other facilities. Overall poor value for money

The reception staff lady was lovely. She appeared to be almost the only member of staff in existance! No one was around until after 2 pm. Breakfast was a very basic self service “continental” and very poor value for money. The Restaurant, apparently quite separate from the hotel had a limited menu and was very expensive, not at all appealing with a stuffy bar. Clearly a great deal of money has been spent upgrading the rooms and dining area and several conference areas but they have overlooked two things, ambiance and presence of staff. A very odd place.
