Lovely for a short stay, very central for Tenterden and walking distance of shops restaurants and bars! Great to have parking, be prepared it's a bit tight. Lovely room and facilities, lovely breakfast. (could have done with a few more tea bags in the room!

The property is a little eccentric but that is, perhaps, to be expected bearing in mind it's age. Do not be put off by that comment though as it also has a lot of charm and is very convenient for exploring Tenterden and it's surrounding area. The bed in our room was very comfortable and the linen clean and fresh. There is a private car park to the rear of the property. Rod, the proprietor, made us very welcome and is very approachable and knowledgeable about the area. I don't recall staying in a b&b before as we usually choose hotels, but we would certainly be happy to stay again if visiting the area.

Super house, with a great history - all 550 years of it! Car Park at rear for guests. Rod is a super host and cooks a nice English breakfast every morning. We stayed in the twin, corner bedroom with separate bathroom. Very comfortable beds and bedding, nice room. All very clean and comfortable. Tea & Coffee available in the room and bottle of water. Information file in the room, gives a history of the house, garden and interesting places to see/visit in area and beyond. Also information re: restaurants, pubs and taxi firms. Tenterden is a nice place with mostly independent shops along the High Street, pubs and restaurants. All a very short walk from Little Dane Court. Note: book taxi in advance because they get very booked up at the weekend.

Old quirky place full of strange angles and creaky floors, but that’s seen in a positive light. Bathroom was private, but across the hall. Lovely gardens to the back. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Only drawback is the car park which is small and could be difficult to manoeuvre around when full. Luckily we brought the small car!

My husband and I had a delightful stay at this charming bed and breakfast on Saturday night. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped . Perfectly located to explore tenterden on foot. In the morning, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast served in a quaint little courtyard besides the beautiful Japanese garden which added to the serene ambiance . The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. I highly recommend this lovely B&B for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway in the Kent countryside.

We were met by the owner, Rod, who was very friendly and showed us to our room, very comfortable and quiet. There was a Japanese theme about the house and garden which was most interesting. Breakfast served in the small courtyard was an extra bonus as the sun was out with blue skys overhead. We found the stay 1st class, thank you Rod!

We had a lovely stay in the downstairs room that goes out onto a patio it’s set out in a very unique Japanese style which was lovely.Itwas very clean and well maintained and Rod the owner made us feel very welcome and made a lovely English breakfast and would tell us about the history of the place it was a very enjoyable stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely property, garden and courtyard. The room was Japanese themed, immaculate, comfy and with great attention to detail. Host was there to welcome us and give us some local tips for walks, food and drinks. It was all within walkable distance to the property which was very convenient. In the morning we had breakfast (included) in the courtyard along other guests, in a very relaxing environment. Highly recommend, unless you have mobility issues and can’t get down/ get up from the japense-style bed on the floor :-)

My boyfriend and I had an overnight stay at Little Dane Court a couple of weeks ago after a dining experience on The Kent and East Sussex Railway. This hotel is a converted grade 2 listed building with several rooms. We stayed in the Courtyard room which had brilliant underfloor heating (in fact it was a little too hot during the evening), lots of cute oriental artefacts and a large amount of space. The kimono style robes and slippers are a lovely editions, as well as the little chocolate eggs alongside the tea and coffee. Rod was a lovely host; he saw us in and recommended a bar in the evening (which we took him up on and enjoyed!) He told us we were the only people staying at the hotel and whilst friendly, he was not overbearing which some hosts can be when there are not many people staying in the accommodation. He made us a cooked breakfast the following day and quickly responded to emails. In addition, the room was prepared for 12pm (even though the check in time is 4pm) so we had plenty of time to wind down and get ready; enjoying the room. This did not come at an extra charge and was extremely helpful. The hotel is at the end of the 'high street' so the perfect location in Tenterden too. Thank you Rod for your hospitality!

We stayed in the 'Corner Room', I maybe didn't read the description properly, but the bathroom was across the hall, not ensuite, wasn't ideal. It's a lovely old house, but this comes with a few inconveniences, the floor boards are very creaky, walls are thin, and no lock on the bedroom door (although you can lock from the inside), I found this very odd, but we just didn't leave anything valuable in the room. The host, Rod, was very helpful, and the breakfast was very nice. Very hard to get taxi's in Tenterden, we were going to Chapel Down wine farm and didn't want to drive, Rod suggested getting the bus back there for dinner, which was very helpful, and then Chapel Down had a few other taxi numbers, thankfully we finally managed to get one back.

Lovely home made cooked breakfast to order. We were in the suite room lovely living space, futon bed was a little uncomfortable but memory foam used so may just be us. Everywhere was very clean, nice tea and coffee, decor and a well laid out bathroom. Was quite noisy in the morning and could hear breakfast being laid and noise from upstairs bedroom with people walking around. Overal a lovely stay and very friendly owner.

My boyfriend and I had an overnight stay at Little Dane Court a couple of weeks ago after a dining experience on The Kent and East Sussex Railway. This hotel is a converted grade 2 listed building with several rooms. We stayed in the Courtyard room which had brilliant underfloor heating (in fact it was a little too hot during the evening), lots of cute oriental artefacts and a large amount of space. The kimono style robes and slippers are a lovely editions, as well as the little chocolate eggs alongside the tea and coffee. Rod was a lovely host; he saw us in and recommended a bar in the evening (which we took him up on and enjoyed!) He told us we were the only people staying at the hotel and whilst friendly, he was not overbearing which some hosts can be when there are not many people staying in the accommodation. He made us a cooked breakfast the following day and quickly responded to emails. In addition, the room was prepared for 12pm (even though the check in time is 4pm) so we had plenty of time to wind down and get ready; enjoying the room. Super house, with a great history - all 550 years of it! Car Park at rear for guests. Rod is a super host and cooks a nice English breakfast every morning. We stayed in the twin, corner bedroom with separate bathroom. Very comfortable beds and bedding, nice room. All very clean and comfortable. Tea & Coffee available in the room and bottle of water. Information file in the room, gives a history of the house, garden and interesting places to see/visit in area and beyond. Also information re: restaurants, pubs and taxi firms. Tenterden is a nice place with mostly independent shops along the High Street, pubs and restaurants. All a very short walk from Little Dane Court. Rod greeted us on arrival, showed us to our room which was fabulous, it had everything we needed, and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was cooked to order, with good quality ingredients. From our arrival on, we felt uneasy. Having had a long and stressful journey round the M25, on arrival we were asked when we wanted breakfast and what we wanted. Taken aback we said - full english please. Our room, and none of the other rooms, could be locked. Our first beakfast was poor. Barely cooked sausage and bacon and raw mushrooms. The continental breakfast was barely that: Bran flakes, corn flakes or cheap muesli plus apple/orange juice. The following day we asked for scrambled eggs on toast and were treated to barely toasted bread, grey scrambled eggs plus cherry tomatoes and mushrooms (fortunately less raw than the day before) and the host hovered over the breakfast table as I was finishing my breakfast. The host also be-moaned the guests visiting Chapel Down winery (which was where we were going) so a bit of self-awareness is needed we thinks. All in all an experience which we won't be repeating. Tentderden was fablulous, lots to see and do, including a brilliant jazz club at the Grape Vine, several restaurants and tea rooms plus the preserved railway. We will be back but looking for a different place to stay.

We were met by the owner, Rod, who was very friendly and showed us to our room, very comfortable and quiet. There was a Japanese theme about the house and garden which was most interesting. Breakfast served in the small courtyard was an extra bonus as the sun was out with blue skys overhead. We found the stay 1st class, thank you Rod!

Quaint little b&b on the main road in Tenterden. Run by a friendly Scot called Rod. The room was clean, comfortable and reasonably spacious. The property is very old so inevitably a bit creaky . Nice cooked breakfast in the courtyard was a particular highlight.

We had a very pleasant visit to this lovely Tudor house. It is well maintained, clean and well equipped. Rod Hardingham was a helpful host, and produced a good breakfast. Beware the low ceilings though!
