We originally had somewhere else booked that old us the day before we were flying that they had structural problems so I needed to find somewhere FAST! This place was around the same price so was able to book with no problems. A taxi from the airport at around 10.30pm was 11 euros / 15 minutes to the door. Got checked in ok. Room was small and basic but suitable as we only intended to sleep in there. There's no kettles or coffee making equipment etc but there was a small fridge. There's a snack bar / bar but we never bothered with that either. You don't need anything else as there are loads of places to eat and drink, the cafe round the corner is a lovely place to end up for a few beers and everywhere - the marina / old town etc are all within about ten minutes walk - Faro itself is REALLY small.

Debo decir que llegamos el sábado a la tarde, nos retiramos el martes por la mañana, y nunca limpiaron la habitacion, el lunes tuve que pedir toallas limpias. The room was comfortable. However, the wifi was horrible and unusable which is not acceptable in today's dogital age and the need to stay connected via all of your devices. I also did not like that everytime you go to the hotel you have to press a buzzer and wait for someone to come to the door to open it to let you in.

Very old property. Location not bad. Poor lighting in corridors. You have to handover keys at the reception every time you go out. No effort to maintain at least to a minimum presentable level. Hospital smell as pointed in some comment. Worth not more than 30 euros. Didn’t dare to try the breakfast. I went to mall to buy a new towel as the towels provided were old, white turned grey and didn’t seem clean. Staff were cooperative but they can’t do anything if the owner wants property to be that way. I don’t understand where those people come from who gave positive comments like pleasant surprise etc. But then in FARO better properties are quoted much more expensive. FARO is not worth paying rent more than Lisbon for similar property. Avoid.

We were 7 blokes on a cycle tour of the Algarve and chose the Adelaide because it was cheap and central. What we didn't expect was to find every window and door on the ground floor behind locked bars. We called it "the prison". The reception spoke limited English and check in wasn't very smooth. Being located centrally meant it was noisy in the street at night. However, it was very clean,, with hot showers and the beds were comfortable.

The hotel was a stopover and had everything we needed to stay the night. A little dated and the bathrooms are old but clean. Beds are very firm. We didn’t have the breakfast that opens at 8am. We had AC and tv and would stay here again. We were able to get a bolt to the airport right outside.

I did not enjoy my stay at all. The receptionist was friendly but the lady who owns the place scowled at me when I smiled at her. She later spoke to us and said that “due to Covid” we would have to collect our breakfast from reception at 8am. It’s a pity that she didn’t use the pandemic as an opportunity to update her disgusting accommodation. As soon as we walked into our room, we could smell that the room smelled musty and things got progressively worse. The room was not as clean as it should have been. It was dusty, there were hairs in the bathroom, the tiles and the mirrors were stained, the shower tray was peeling and the soap dispenser had liquid soap that was clearly watered down. The only positives were that at least the bed and toilet were clean. I work as a cleaner and I would have been ashamed to have left a room in that condition because it was completely unacceptable. I didn’t feel at all comfortable there and my partner and I ended up checking out after the first day and moving to a better hotel. I would not recommend this place.

Hotel is situated in one way street near Faro city centre and all the sights. Unfortunately due to the lateness of the hour the night porter dealt with the bookings and this took a v long time, plus we were allocated a room that was street facing and noisey. Perfectly ok room with shower and air conditioning. Clean and suitable for 1-2 nights to explore Faro.

Excellent position in the center. Hotel old and simple, but clean. Staff ok . Breakfast included, but very simple. I recommend to take the breakfast in the numerous bars and restos around.

Our flight home was cancelled due to the power outage and as our original hotel was fully booked, we had to find another hotel with available rooms. The hotel was cheaper than we would normally spend, but we were very pleasantly surprised to find a decent sized bedroom, good sized bathroom and very friendly staff. We arrived to a very stressed reception team working in candlelight, but they were happy to give us some food, water and candles! The location is good for the best restaurants in Faro and the marina. The breakfast was definitely typical for a budget hotel, a basket with pre-wrapped bread roll and pain-au-chocolat and a bowl of fruit. We have no complaints though as we weren't paying for the room! If you are looking for a friendly and not expensive hotel in Faro, I'd recommend Adelaide Hotel.

The service provided by the hotel was not satisfactory - although the staff was polite and tried their best. It was not possible to get an early breakfast prior to checkout. We had to leave early at 07:15 due to our flight. But breakfast was not served before 8… The room was ok for an overnight stay, however the was a lot of noise from the square nearby. On top of that there was a mechanical noise just outside our room throughout the night. Every two seconds a clanking or banging noise was heard. We cannot recommend this place for families with young children.

Great location, lovely little hotel with some beautiful rooms (though not all were equally beautiful). The rooms were balconies were lovely and bright. Breakfast was generous and a great start to the day. Heating was excellent in all rooms. Beds were comfortable but for me they were a little too hard so i slept on top of blankets too. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Felt like family and homely. Fridges and good showers (no kettle). The terraces/ balconies were a bit dirty with cigarette butts and ash on our return but that was the only let down.Recommend - excellent value
