Berry Springs Lodge

Away from the crowds. Beautiful landscape. Quaint. Nice touches i.e. baked goods. Breakfast was good. Pond was misleading. Says there were canoes but you could throw a rock from one end to the other it is that small.

Berry Springs Lodge is a wonderful place. Besides a warm welcome (with fresh baked goodies!) it has beautiful grounds surrounding it...ponds for fishing, hikes for meandering in the gorgeous woods, croquet, biking, canoeing. The breakfasts are fresh cooked and delicious. We had a lovely view from our room. And the staff is very gracious.

The staff was very friendly and personable. There were lots of amenities: fresh roasted coffee, free drinks, free ice cream sandwiches, homemade staff recipe desserts every evening, fresh cooked breakfast each morning. This place was amazing!

Beautiful Lodge. We stayed in the Hideaway suite. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well decorated. The suite stayed cool during the heat. The breakfast each morning was delicious and they provided many amenties such as a workout area, movies, drinks, snacks, games and books. There is a well lit trail area that goes down to a barn with fishing poles provided for the pond, bikes for the trails, and a pool table. The staff was friendly. Our favorite part was sitting on the back deck and watching the sunrise while drinking coffee. It provided a beautiful view with the rolling hills and mountain background. This lodge is far enough for the city to be secluded and quiet but close enough to not have to drive forever to get to activities. We even ordered food delivery one night! We will consider staying here again when we visit the area in the future.

Perfect little B&B. There is nice nature trails on site. Food was excellent. It was really nice to sit around the fire at night and chat with other couples there. If we ever return to this area, I will not even look for another place to stay- this has everything, a good location and priced reasonably.

My husband, and I, visited Berry Springs Lodge after spending the day at Dollywood’s Splash Country. We were immediately impressed with the location, beauty, and overall ambience of the lodge. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who checked us in and gave us a quick tour of the lodge and all it offered. Just to mention a few: coffee, tea, purified water, sodas, freshly baked goods & other snacks, were all available to us, at all hours, complimentary. There is a living room/lobby area with couches, tv, reading materials, and games. Downstairs is a library with more games, books, puzzles, and an expansive selection of dvds. We were then shown to our beautiful, immaculate room with a private bathroom. The room had both a/c and heat and a fireplace. My husband went back down to enjoy a cup of coffee on the back porch over looking mountains. We went out to a late dinner and were able to let ourselves back in with our room keycard. The following morning, we were served an amazing breakfast, by the sweetest waitress, in a quaint dining room that had the most amazing views. After that, we hiked the trail to see the ponds with a canoe and the barn. The barn had nice bikes, a ping pong table, and a pool table. Outside, you could play horseshoes. There were even bathrooms and a small refrigerator if you wanted to bring some cold drinks out there. Outside of the lodge there is also a covered BBQ/sink area with seating areas, and a fire pit, available for guests to use.

Rustic atmosphere: homemade pastries available throughout the day, a refrigerator stocked with sodas and water and ice cream sandwiches in the freezer gave a very homey, "mom and pop" feeling to the place. The grounds were lovely and everything from a rowboat to fishing poles to a pool table were available for use. Staff members were personable and very helpful. Homemade breakfast was delicious. Views from the back and front porches provided for both a beautiful sunset and sunrise. Our room on the second floor had a balcony which was also a bonus.

The Berry Springs Lodge is a little piece of heaven! It is so welcoming, relaxing and spotless! The staff are wonderful, and made us feel right at home. The views are amazing - either from the rockers on the back deck or from your own hot tub on the private balconey of your room. The staff provides a lovely breakfast each morning, along with free drinks throughout the day and a special dessert each evening. You are minutes away from all of the activities in the area but it feels like you are far away from the hustle and bustle. My new favorite place in the world!

All of the staff here is great, the chef cooked amazing food. Emily, Daniel, and Alexandria were great to my husband and I. Management could have done better and told us the hot tub wasn’t working as we booked this in advance. Other then that this place is quite, clean and a fun romantic place to visit.

What a great place!! Our room was wonderful, very clean, comfortable and well appointed. We really liked sitting on our balcony, But also the big deck facing East was great too! We enjoyed the rural drive getting there as well. The breakfasts were very tasty. Desert in the evening, was a special treat! And they were wonderfully accommodating with a couple special requests. We enjoyed hiking the grounds as well, and catching a fish. I would highly recommend a stay here and will be back if in the area again. Thank you so much!!

Terrible staff, dirty sheets and floors, not luxurious at all

From the outside, it’s a quaint looking lodge in a quiet area, with stunning views of the mountains. Unfortunately, once inside, it’s dusty, dated and feels abandoned. Most of the time we were there, there was one member of staff (out back until you rung the bell) doing everything. Whilst the staff were very nice, they were clearly stretched and struggling. At 10pm, they lock up and leave for the night. So don’t expect anything after that. Breakfast was not as advertised. Instead of a menu, there was one option each day. On a couple of the days we were there, they didn’t even have bacon. Other people were obviously disappointed. We had already specified that my wife was vegetarian, yet there were no vegetarian options offered. They claim to have espresso coffee, but there was absolutely no sign of this despite the owner trying to sell me unlimited espresso coffee over the phone a couple of weeks before we arrived. The owner was nowhere to be seen whilst there. The room was very large, but there was an odd smell. It smelt like the soft furnishings were old and stale. There were also a bunch of plastic flowers that were covered in a year’s worth of dust. The bathroom was ok, but very dated. I think a lot of the strong review scores are a result of the clientele being largely older Americans that don’t travel very far. Either that, or this place used to be much better and has gone down hill. For the price per night, it’s not good value.

We had such a nice stay at this property. It was very well kept and incredibly clean. The rooms are very quiet, with a beautiful view of the mountains. It felt like we were staying with family members. The breakfast and evening homebaked desserts served daily were fantastic, as well as the free snacks and drinks, cereal, available anytime. The staff was so helpful and responsive. The property is very close to central Pigeon Forge and a short drive to Gatlingburg. We would definitely return to stay again.

Beautiful setting in the mountains, quiet, beautiful grounds, and walking trails, delicious large portions of breakfast every morning, rooms were clean and neat. The staff was fantastic. A serene place to reset your life!

We enjoyed staying in this hotel. Quiet, good view, and clean room. It will be better if they clean the balcony so we could enjoy the clean chairs to view the outside.

Breakfast homemade. Amazing. Rooms was mostly clean. Shower curtain has red algae stains on The bottom. Was told at booking, they had an ev charger for customers but when we got to hotel was told it was removed a week ago. Was never notified. Caused us lost time and extra cost during our vacation.

The view was beautiful. However the property is dated and needs a renovation.

This place was lovely. We had a room with a great view and a hot tub on the balcony. The fireplace in the room was great, the bed was great, the staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. We had a great experience.

Loved our stay here. Service was great. Room was comfortable and cozy. Nice and quiet. Not too far from Dollywood. Could see the fireworks at night. Gorgeous view. They had nice snacks in the kitchen for the guests. Only a few small suggestions. Coffe pots in the room so guest can take advantage of having a morning coffee on the balcony and upgrade the toilet paper and Kleenex. It would just give it one more little homey touch. Would definitely stay again!!

After a busy vacation we stayed here as a nice refresher before going back to normal life. This place was wonderful, everyone was so nice and our room was beautiful. We had free beverages all day, our jacuzzi tub on the deck overseeing a lovely view was great, and the breakfast they made in the morning lovely. It is just the perfect place to get away. We will definitely will be coming back!

We had a great stay. The suites are spacious, private, and thoughtfully designed, featuring balconies that allow you to enjoy both the sunrise and sunset. The lodge is quiet and tucked away, but still close to everything. We really enjoyed the fishing ponds, hiking trails, and the pool table; though some of these are a short hike or drive away, they’re absolutely worth it. Staff were warm and personable, especially during breakfast. We’ll definitely be back.

Fabulous place to stay with two exceptions. 1) The bathroom sink in our room drained extremely slow and 2) Breakfast is not served until 8AM. It’s understandable that it’s a relaxed environment, however, for early risers that need coffee before 7AM it’s not ideal.

Alexandria who helped us the most is a real find and I hope the owners realize that. She handled our entire stay with her very upbeat attitude and made this the best vacation we have had in Pigeon Forge in years. This Lodge is a must stay place, the next time we are in the area…very classy place!

This lodge was so conveniently locate to everything but gave the feeling of a remote mountain cabin. The staff was above courteous and extremely sociable. Breakfast was good and the amenities were excellent. I will definitely be back.

We were turned away at the door for not seeing the fine print about children not being permitted. They said our 3 night stay was non refundable and offered a phone number as they told us to leave. I tried calling right away and sent many messages through multiple avenues and never received any type of communication. I realize I missed the note about children not being allowed, but I would hope that they could have a reasonable conversation and resolution. I had booked the stay just a day before, so I had no way of being within the 14day cancellation policy. The financial impact of this simple human mistake has been devastating to my daughter and I during this trip. We not only did not get to stay at the one place we splurged on because we were so excited about all they had to offer, but we had to find a new place to stay at the last minute and pay for new accommodations. So we are paying for 2 hotels for the same nights, no phone call, no message, just told to go away and they will be keeping all of our money. Reasonably, we did not use any of the services that cost them money, but they won’t even talk with us.

Beautiful property, great service, and lots to do!

Very friendly staff. At check-in I was shown the room after being shown the lodge and its amenities. Our room was a good size with a nice size bathroom. Rooms have a DVD-VHS player and there are hundreds of movies and TV shows in their DVD-VHS library located in the conference room. It was quite impressive. Food was very heavy, comfort-type foods, which many like, but we do not. After discussing the breakfast offerings, I was told that their menu is posted online. It's not and I went back to verify minutes after being told this. During the stay I emailed ownership/management about some things that rubbed us the wrong way and was told that "our General Manager, will be at the lodge tomorrow to chat with you personally. She wants to ensure the rest of your stay is enjoyable. Your feedback is valuable, and we appreciate the chance to improve." The only contact I had was with our server at breakfast and with someone at check-out. At no time did the GM chat with me personally to perhaps clear the air about my grievances. This establishment operates as a chain would operate, which is a far cry from other privately owned properties we visited over the years. Overall, clean building with nice rooms, but based on my experience as a consumer and long ago provider of lodging and hospitality services in my family's business, upper management gives the impression that it is composed of too many upper level managers.

Lovely slice of heaven overlooking beautiful mountains. Not far from restaurants, 10 minutes or so. Very quiet. Delicious breakfast and lots of lovely amenities including dessert, tea, coffee, etc. We definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for an old school, country feeling, quiet with a home cooked breakfast every morning… you found it! Staff was so sweet. Building and rooms were charming. The views are incredible, can sit in a rocking chair and stare off into the hills. The drive in is breathtaking. Easy access to Dollywood and pigeon forge.

Excellent lodge staff, very pleasant attitudes, breakfast is by far the best in the smoky mountains. This is our go to place to stay. what a gem. Fantastic sunrise along with mountain and valley views. Rooms facing east have the sunrise view, the view from the dining area and large covered porch have great sunrise view also.

The staff was super nice and helpful, the amenities were better than any other place I’ve stayed, and the morning breakfast and evening baked goods (yes, home baked) were outstanding. Can’t say enough nice things about this property.
