Our family stayed here our last night in the UK, and it was a beautiful place to end our trip! The location is perfect for walking around Stow-on-the-Wold, we were able to park behind the Inn, and the food at the restaurant was very good! The rooms are so comfortable and cute. FYI there isn't an elevator, so be prepared!

The hotel was lovely, the staff helpful and the restaurant had excellent food. The only downsides were that it was quite warm with no fan or ac and our daughter’s room was at the very top of some stairs that were daunting.

Lovely Inn in Stow - room was in need of a bit of TLC (bath panels broken, dripping tap, light not working, cobwebs around the window) and a small/‘snug’ room BUT had all that was needed for a one night stay. Comfy bed and fresh towels - warm bathroom. Plus fantastic breakfast which was v good value for money. Parking is very handy although short on spaces. Staff were friendly and polite.

A fabulous overnight stay. Enjoyed the Summer sunny evening vibes in the lovely beer garden with an excellent pint of Brakspear Gold. Dinner in the restaurant was very good as was breakfast the following morning. Would definitely stay again

The photos don't do this place justice. It is a charming and a gorgeous place to stay in the center of the little town. The restaurant is awesome with a beautiful outdoor area for cocktails and drinks. The rooms are so cute and well appointed and decorated. This is the an amazing English inn. The front desk is so friendly and super helpful. The restaurant is cozy with tons of character and great food.

We liked the location, lovely decorated room, spacious airy restaurant. We did not like the continuous music in the garden which was quite loud and otherwise would have been very pleasant space.

This was a last min booking for us when we decided to leave our previous accommodations early (2 hours away) because they were awful. The staff here were excellent. Very very friendly. Check in and check out were very simple. Parking was a little tricky as we didn't realize at first that parking was in the rear and when we went, it was full. We only went to the restaurant once and ordered the pizza, which was delicious. Best toppings I think we've had on a pizza in a long time. Room was cute - very nicely decorated. Bathroom was nice and the shower pressure was strong.

My fillet steak dinner and service for Xmas Day was fantastic, my husbands Turkey dinner was mediocre, he was very disappointed. The room was boiling hot hence the low score for eco friendly. although a dog friendly hotel, which we didn't mind, i think the dog rooms should be separate from other non dog people as we had what seemed to be a dog each side of us which was barking whenever we moved in or near our room, bedroom window had a faulty handle, and the bath wasn't 100% clean, and the toilet flush was poor. we were in room 21. we were a bit surprised that there was a £20 enforced service charge on the meal, as we'd paid £200 for it, even though we would have left a decent tip, we weren't asked first - but in fairness it may have been in the Ts&Cs

Propert has lots of character - room was clean and well appointed. Wifi enabled shower was an intriguing and quite baffling surprise. Dinner and breakfast at the Sheep were excellent - although neither was included in the hotel rate. Very pleased with the stay here.

The bed was comfy, the shower was nice and hot and the breakfast was lovely. However, our room (14B) was incredibly smelly. It smelt damp and there are visible signs of damp in the room. The TV had no signal so we looked at the TV and the dust and dirt behind the TV was unacceptable. There is paint peeling off the walls above the bed, tired furniture and big horrible tea and coffee stains all over the carpet. I appreciate that we stayed over a Bank Holiday Weekend but I don't believe the room was worth the price. The room reeked and needs some TLC.

If you want quaint and full of history, this is the place. Stuff was great. Room was super tiny but that was expected. Walls and floors were crooked and on numerous occasions I tripped going into the bathroom because the floor slanted badly. Wouldn’t stay again because of that.

Wonderful stay, bed was comfy albeit small. Only complaint was thin walls, we could hear music from the restaurant downstairs and the neighbors tv through the wall. Otherwise incredibly charming stay, very friendly staff, and delicious restaurant.

Beds and Pillows are fantastic. Staff are great. They even remember my favourite room. There is an issue with being provided milk in the room. Sometimes it has been missing so have to go down to the restaurant night before to get some (they have no fridge in the room so you can’t keep it fresh) and one time they left the have used bottle from the previous guest. It’s the only thing that lets them down

The Sheep is outstanding and Stow-in-the-Wold is a treasure. Staff are friendly and helpful, going above and beyond in providing information for your Cotswolds visit. The entire place - rooms and restaurant - have just been completely refurbished as of 2025. It's simply gorgeous with modern comforts while maintaining the character of its 17th century origin. The restaurant is excellent. Be sure to make dinner reservations as it is very popular with local folks as well as visitors.

The hotel was lovely. The car park out the back was great. Restaurant brilliant, An enjoyable night. Minor negative was the time it took to check in. 20 minutes. Not sure if the lady was learning, but it took longer than other check-ins on our recent travels. Other than that issue. Totally recommend.

Our family stayed here our last night in the UK, and it was a beautiful place to end our trip! The location is perfect for walking around Stow-on-the-Wold, we were able to park behind the Inn, and the food at the restaurant was very good! The rooms are so comfortable and cute. FYI there isn't an elevator, so be prepared!

I really enjoyed my stay at Sheep on Sheep Street in Stow on the Wild. The hotel is conveniently located near the main square with plenty of dining and shopping options. The room was clean and quiet. Check in process was easy and efficient and the staff were friendly. I was able to find on street parking thing that I was there, and therefore did not use the hotel parking lot, but was informed by the staff during check-in that I could, if needed. Due to the gypsy horse fair that was in town while we were there, the dining room was closed for lunch and dinner, we were able to have breakfast at the restaurant across the street on the first morning, and at the hotel on the second. Breakfast was delicious both days. I would recommend staying at Sheep on Sheep Street if you are staying in Stow on the Wold.

My fillet steak dinner and service for Xmas Day was fantastic, my husbands Turkey dinner was mediocre, he was very disappointed. The room was boiling hot hence the low score for eco friendly. although a dog friendly hotel, which we didn't mind, i think the dog rooms should be separate from other non dog people as we had what seemed to be a dog each side of us which was barking whenever we moved in or near our room, bedroom window had a faulty handle, and the bath wasn't 100% clean, and the toilet flush was poor. we were in room 21. we were a bit surprised that there was a £20 enforced service charge on the meal, as we'd paid £200 for it, even though we would have left a decent tip, we weren't asked first - but in fairness it may have been in the Ts&Cs

Propert has lots of character - room was clean and well appointed. Wifi enabled shower was an intriguing and quite baffling surprise. Dinner and breakfast at the Sheep were excellent - although neither was included in the hotel rate. Very pleased with the stay here.

A fabulous overnight stay. Enjoyed the Summer sunny evening vibes in the lovely beer garden with an excellent pint of Brakspear Gold. Dinner in the restaurant was very good as was breakfast the following morning. Would definitely stay again

We had a great stay at the sheep. The room was really spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was fantastic. The pub and restaurant on site offer delicious food and drinks

Wonderful staff and beautiful room. Live music on the patio on the first day, and super staff that went out of their way to be helpful and kind. Great food in their restaurant for dinner. And the breakfasts were awesome.

Nice friendly helpful staff, but they could do with some more, had to find them sometimes. Had a drain smell that they tried to sort, with some success, were very willing to try. Don't expect to have dinner in the restaurant if you haven't booked, they do not keep tables for the residents! Beds comfortable and nice clean fluffy towels.

This was a last min booking for us when we decided to leave our previous accommodations early (2 hours away) because they were awful. The staff here were excellent. Very very friendly. Check in and check out were very simple. Parking was a little tricky as we didn't realize at first that parking was in the rear and when we went, it was full. We only went to the restaurant once and ordered the pizza, which was delicious. Best toppings I think we've had on a pizza in a long time. Room was cute - very nicely decorated. Bathroom was nice and the shower pressure was strong.

Quaint old stone cottage style building with lots of history, beautifully preserved and decorated. Very comfortable bedding, modern shower with push button control. Conveniently located to town center, shopping, and bus stop. Restaurant on site was excellent as well. Staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
