Only a 1 night stay on a business trip. First class service all round. Comfy double bed and pilllows, hot shower, staff were excellent, great selection of drinks, lovely historic building in a beautiful town. Sound of church bells in the early evening was a treat. I didn’t have breakfast as I’m not a breakfast person, but there was a good offering and from what I saw looked cooked to perfection. Will visit again. Thankyou.

I booked a room with a double and two singles. What we got was a too small for two people double and a sofa bed. The bed was the hardest I've ever come across in my life. I slept on the couch as it was too late to make up another bed. The breakfast was the worst ever. I have never complained about a breakfast but this was so bad, we had to. The waiter just shook his head. Black toast, solid egg, wrinkled old mushroom that was raw. The hash brows were leaking grease on the plate. Picked one up and it dripped. The staff were nice enough but we had no idea of who the manager was during our two night stay. Open mic outside was nice.

Nice large recently refurbished room, comfortable bed and lovely soft pillows but the shower room was tiny and the sliding door on the bathroom was very noisy making any privacy in the middle of the night when going to the loo impossible but it was clean. Our only real complaint and it's a big one, was the noise from the pub bar immediately beneath our room. We appreciated that there would be some noise as we were staying in a pub, however there was a karaoke evening including a DJ on the Friday night which went on until after 1am making it impossible to sleep. We were due to stay another night but given there was a band due on on the Saturday night, we decided to cut our stay short and checked out. Real shame because apart from the noise, the Lamb would have been a good place to stay but can't recommend it unless there is a rethink by the owner on what his priorities are
