As other reviewers have said this hotel is 'quaint'. Our double room was very small with the bed wedged into an alcove. There was only a net curtain on the window, the lighting in the bathroom was very poor and the bed was extremely creaky. I did point some of these issues out to a member of staff but nothing was said. On the plus side the breakfast was very good and the lady who cooked it was lovely. The wi-fi had a strong signal and the surrounding area was very quiet, especially at night. I noticed that the hotel is for sale so that is probably why the rooms haven't been updated.

Freshly cooked breakfast and the bar seemed to have a fair selection of drinks.

Check in was easy and in the main bar. The property itself offers basic but more than adequate facilities. It is an old pub which we found gave the place an old world charm that we really liked. However, If you want immaculate decoration and newly fitted bathroom this isn’t the stay for you. The rooms are priced relative to the decor and facilities and represent great value for money. Breakfast was lovely with cereal, juice, toast on self serve and a full breakfast cooked to order. A vegetarian full breakfast swapped the bacon and pork sausage for grilled halloumi and veggie sausage. All delightful well cooked. We will be back to stay here again

Staff were fantastic, the room was lovely and quaint. The breakfast was very nice, i especially liked the bread to make toast with and the coffee.
