Handy for sea front 2 min walk, but my room was on the 4th (I think) floor so lots of stairs Nice enough stay, but lots of seagull noise & think curtains, so not the best nights sleep ever tbh. Breakfast Ok, but uber bland sausage & very crunchy hash brown , good coffee though !!

Very nice people. Very convenient opposite the railway station. Within walking distance of most amenities. A taxi rank is 2 doors away for longer journeys. Convenience store next door and a pub attached to the hotel. I don’t need any more than that. Many thanks.

The Clifton was a surprise for us. Our rooms were at the top of the lodging house so our views were nice. However, the stairs were a challenge with our luggage but the staff were amazing and helped with lugging it upstairs to our very nice, clean bedrooms in the ‘Penthouse!’ Breakfast was plentiful and the choices were good. The location was perfect if the station was required and the Promenade was just around the corner. Extremely nice, friendly, accommodating people. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Pleasant stay in very convenient location in centre of Weymouth. We had a family room for three of us (including our nine year old daughter). Accommodation had everything we needed. Nice to have the pub downstairs and we had a good breakfast. Handy with parking permit for local carpark. Would stay again, thank you.

Very well situated for the theatre and all amenities . Seperate front door to access the rooms so don't have to walk though the bar. Only drawback we were on the top floor and no lift

I had a lovely stay. The owners/staff were really friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Even though it’s connected to a pub you couldn’t hear a thing. The bed was comfy and the ensuite bathroom was gorgeous The only negatives are, I couldn’t leave my window open as there was an easily accessible large ledge right outside and the window could be opened fully from the outside if left open so I didn’t feel safe to leave open. The parking is a small walk (2 mins) and you have to park in a loading bay to check in and then get the parking permit which wasn’t fully explained when I booked. I would definitely stay here again.

Very good breakfast included in the price,but not mentioned when booking.Reported bathroom light was not working properly (room 17) to 2 members of staff but still not working when we left,apart from that the room was clean warm and very quiet we enjoyed our stay everything within walking distance

Although the bathroom was spotless and the bedroom appeared clean there was a piece of plastic about 2x1cm under the bed which made me wonder whether it had been hoovered. I found the mattress very uncomfortable and could feel the springs - sleep also not helped by loud ticking clock above bed. Check in and breakfast service was good and food tasty however a latest slot of 8.45 on a Sunday morning was too early for breakfast. Central location and near station so very convenient and not too noisy.

Can’t lie, I was nervous about this stay and worried after reading some of the reviews that when coming down with my child I may have made a big mistake but oh my god how wrong my initial perception was. The pub was lovely and homely, the lady who checked us in couldn’t have been more helpful and showed us to our room. The twin room we stayed in was lovely and clean And we had loads of room to move about. The room also contained sky tv which my daughter loved as she was able to put Cartoon Network on this morning before we got up, we only stayed 1 night but if we had stayed longer it had enough storage facilities to cover staying much longer. Despite karaoke being on at the pub once we went to bed we heard nothing and no noises from outside with the window shut. Beds were clean and comfy and me and my daughter had a great nights sleep. Breakfast next day was lovely and Jon who served us was super helpful, we were even allowed to keep our luggage at the pub when we checked out so we can go back to it later when going home. All in all I’m actually disappointed I’ve never visited it stayed here before. Don’t be put off by what you read, this was a home from home place, clean, tidy, with friendly locals. I’m actually looking forward to coming back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Basic room up lots of stairs but quite comfy with nice bathroom and good breakfast in the morning. Check in/ out bit confusing. Had to go into pub to check in but when leaving couldn't find anyone as bar and dining room both locked. Need a box downstairs to deposit room keys into on check out. Friendly staff.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived early in the rain. The owner happened to be in the pub, let us register early and changed our room to a first floor ( still stairs) but doable. Lovely English breakfast.

We had a lovely one night stay at the Clifton. The staff were lovely, room was nice and clean and it was just a couple of minutes walk to the beach! Breakfast was tasty too. Great for the price.

Very nice people. Very convenient opposite the railway station. Within walking distance of most amenities. A taxi rank is 2 doors away for longer journeys. Convenience store next door and a pub attached to the hotel. I don’t need any more than that. Many thanks.

The Clifton was a surprise for us. Our rooms were at the top of the lodging house so our views were nice. However, the stairs were a challenge with our luggage but the staff were amazing and helped with lugging it upstairs to our very nice, clean bedrooms in the ‘Penthouse!’ Breakfast was plentiful and the choices were good. The location was perfect if the station was required and the Promenade was just around the corner. Extremely nice, friendly, accommodating people. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Very friendly staff rooms clean light bright breakfast nice served quickly but if you have any mobility issues not the place to stay lots of stairs I would say it's more of a pub with b&b accomadation not a hotel but overall no problems everything ticked the boxes & close to everything seafront short walk away very good for train station & buses & taxi office 2 doors up lots of convenience stores around

Pleasant stay in very convenient location in centre of Weymouth. We had a family room for three of us (including our nine year old daughter). Accommodation had everything we needed. Nice to have the pub downstairs and we had a good breakfast. Handy with parking permit for local carpark. Would stay again, thank you.

Handy for sea front 2 min walk, but my room was on the 4th (I think) floor so lots of stairs Nice enough stay, but lots of seagull noise & think curtains, so not the best nights sleep ever tbh. Breakfast Ok, but uber bland sausage & very crunchy hash brown , good coffee though !!

Although the bathroom was spotless and the bedroom appeared clean there was a piece of plastic about 2x1cm under the bed which made me wonder whether it had been hoovered. I found the mattress very uncomfortable and could feel the springs - sleep also not helped by loud ticking clock above bed. Check in and breakfast service was good and food tasty however a latest slot of 8.45 on a Sunday morning was too early for breakfast. Central location and near station so very convenient and not too noisy.

I had a lovely stay. The owners/staff were really friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Even though it’s connected to a pub you couldn’t hear a thing. The bed was comfy and the ensuite bathroom was gorgeous The only negatives are, I couldn’t leave my window open as there was an easily accessible large ledge right outside and the window could be opened fully from the outside if left open so I didn’t feel safe to leave open. The parking is a small walk (2 mins) and you have to park in a loading bay to check in and then get the parking permit which wasn’t fully explained when I booked. I would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived early in the rain. The owner happened to be in the pub, let us register early and changed our room to a first floor ( still stairs) but doable. Lovely English breakfast.
