Unfortunately due the heatwave the room was to small & it was like sleeping in an oven, I appreciate it wasn’t the owners fault , but a fan just didn’t do the job , we had our dog with us , happy to say it’s very dog friendly , the food was excellent especially the breakfast , would return in cooler weather

Great village pub with good accommodation and an excellent kitchen. Pub classics available - but I tried a risotto with hake that was delicious and then possett with the shortest shortbread ever! Fab.

Stayed one night in a twin room whilst on a long walk. Arrived to a very friendly welcome from the manager, everything explained and shown to our room. Room perfect with good tea facilities (great homemade biscuits!) and a bathroom with large shower and good quality toiletries. We'd booked dinner which was just as well as they were packed, both had the short rib beef and it was delicious, servers were lovely and they had fantastic Naptons cider on draft! Bed's were comfy, it was very quiet and we slept very well. Breakfast doesn't start until 9am but they very helpfully let us preorder so it was all ready when we went down and it was an excellent full English. Perfect stay in lovely inn!

Very welcoming, managed to fit us in for dinner at late notice, food was delicious (including Saturday breakfast!😊). It fell very homely. The accommodation was spotless and the bathroom was very smartly presented. Excellent shower. Good range of draught beers, gins and other beverages. All in all a 5 star stay.

Staff we're attentive and lovely, so cannot fault their service. Unfortunately, we had the room with the extractor fan for the pubs kitchen, so was very noisy until approx after 10pm. The building is old, so expected noise, unfortunately the floors we're very queaky and noisy in and outside the rooms. Hotel did provide ear plugs in the bathroom, however, I don't think the housekeeping realised they were open and used previously. It is a lovely hotel with lots of historic charms of the countryside though.

The room we had was in need of a revamp tired decor and not very clean.The staff were all very friendly and helpful . The food in the bar and restaurant was great. Breakfast was ok but could have been better .

We had a family room which was very spacious, clean with a lovely bathroom. There was lovely drinks facilities in the bedroom - the best coffee option I have seen. There was also some lovely local made cookies.

Nice little b&b, value for money, comfortable bed and good facilities. Bathroom could have definitely been cleaner, hair blocking bath and what I think was watered down body wash. Would come again though. Lovely location and staff nice and informative.

The bathroom needs some TLC. There's a smell in there that wasn't pleasant. The shower cubicle is worn and unsightly. There's mold in the corner of the shower..

Very welcoming and helpful Staff. Room was comfortable, with everything as advertised. It was a bit noisy some nights as the rooms are above the pub but you are warned of this and earplugs are provided. Food in the restaurant is very good, with good choices. We stayed three nights. The village is lovely and has good access to the rest of the Cotswolds. Would definitely stay again.

Just a quick overnight stay before an event the following day Room was small but had everything we needed & space for the dog Continental breakfast was taken in the room, adequate but a stay atvthe weekend where a proper breakfast is available would have been nice! Service was lovely. Room small but had everything needed. Noise from ACU which was right outside window. Not too much of a problem. Noise from loud music also. I was too tired to be bothered by it. Meal was very good. A huge burger which was delicious.

Obviously with this being a very old building (around 1849) the floors upstairs near the bedrooms were incredibly creaky. We stayed in Room 3 - unfortunately the bed was quite hard and the extractor fan for the kitchen downstairs was right outside the window - this was however turned off at around 2200. The most disappointing thing about our stay was the breakfast - apparently cooked breakfasts are only served on weekends, and our 'continental breakfast' consisted only of a few different cereals, croissants, yoghurt and either apples or oranges. Very disappointed considering the meal we ate the night before was delicious. Not sure we'd stay here again, probably on a weekend in hopes for an improved breakfast!

We were pleased with the breakfast on Sunday morning as we could order off a menu but then the next 2 mornings was only a few small items to pick from. Monday morning there was a person to help out if we needed anything but Tuesday morning there was no one to be found. When I went to pay for the stay (it said to pay at property) I had to leave the money with cleaning staff. Then I get an email that says they charged my card on the first day so they ended up keeping my money and putting a credit on my card. We were frustrated with lack of communication and the idea that no one was there to check you out and take your key was baffling to us. Otherwise everything was fine.

Honestly one of the pub hotels I’ve ever been in, and that is a lot. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it. Staff and locals friendly, food excellent. So many extras in your room, food and toiletries. Lovely village to spend time in, brewery visit worthwhile. Great attitude towards dogs btw xx

We were pleased with the breakfast on Sunday morning as we could order off a menu but then the next 2 mornings was only a few small items to pick from. Monday morning there was a person to help out if we needed anything but Tuesday morning there was no one to be found. When I went to pay for the stay (it said to pay at property) I had to leave the money with cleaning staff. Then I get an email that says they charged my card on the first day so they ended up keeping my money and putting a credit on my card. We were frustrated with lack of communication and the idea that no one was there to check you out and take your key was baffling to us. Otherwise everything was fine.

Nice friendly inn in lovely little village. It would have been nice to have been offered a cooked breakfast. Breakfast of croissant and cereal ok but not ideal. Evening food was ave rage. Otherwise all fine.

Great village pub with good accommodation and an excellent kitchen. Pub classics available - but I tried a risotto with hake that was delicious and then possett with the shortest shortbread ever! Fab.

Obviously with this being a very old building (around 1849) the floors upstairs near the bedrooms were incredibly creaky. We stayed in Room 3 - unfortunately the bed was quite hard and the extractor fan for the kitchen downstairs was right outside the window - this was however turned off at around 2200. The most disappointing thing about our stay was the breakfast - apparently cooked breakfasts are only served on weekends, and our 'continental breakfast' consisted only of a few different cereals, croissants, yoghurt and either apples or oranges. Very disappointed considering the meal we ate the night before was delicious. Not sure we'd stay here again, probably on a weekend in hopes for an improved breakfast!

The room we had was in need of a revamp tired decor and not very clean.The staff were all very friendly and helpful . The food in the bar and restaurant was great. Breakfast was ok but could have been better .

Stayed one night in a twin room whilst on a long walk. Arrived to a very friendly welcome from the manager, everything explained and shown to our room. Room perfect with good tea facilities (great homemade biscuits!) and a bathroom with large shower and good quality toiletries. We'd booked dinner which was just as well as they were packed, both had the short rib beef and it was delicious, servers were lovely and they had fantastic Naptons cider on draft! Bed's were comfy, it was very quiet and we slept very well. Breakfast doesn't start until 9am but they very helpfully let us preorder so it was all ready when we went down and it was an excellent full English. Perfect stay in lovely inn!

Very welcoming, managed to fit us in for dinner at late notice, food was delicious (including Saturday breakfast!😊). It fell very homely. The accommodation was spotless and the bathroom was very smartly presented. Excellent shower. Good range of draught beers, gins and other beverages. All in all a 5 star stay.

This property is in a quiet village and the local views are stunning. My only criticism is the lack of electronic device charging ports. Many pubs are switching at least the bedside power receptacles to the ones with built in usb ports. Other than this small inconvenience it was perfect
