Other than the ungodly amount of stairs, it would be ideal to ask guests about arrival intentions (meeting at the train station?) to avoid unnecessary confusion and exertions, and also ensure guests don’t have to locate the office, which is rather tucked away.

Wonderful place to stay, fantastic location overlooking the sea. Paulo reserved a parking space for us and met us at the top of town to show us down to the property. The room was spacious and clean with good facilities including free Wi-Fi, tea & coffee and biscuits.

The staff gave detailed instructions on how to locate the hotel, but it was still very difficult to find. The last 20 meters was where we became lost. There is no hotel sign visible from the alleyway. We would not have found it except with help from a local.

Prime location in the heart of Riomaggiore. Offered parking was also convenient (at cost which we didn't mind) and check in was smooth and flexible. Clean and spacious room with nice amenities.

Beautiful setting on Ligurian Sea. Easy access to boat tours, train station and good restaurants. Daily highlight sitting on balcony. However, we were not told how far parking was from hotel and the steep roads and uneven steps needed to get to hotel. Daily use of uneven steps was a challenge. We were not told to pack a small bag which would have made trip arrival much better and we had no idea where car was parked until we left.

I booked the superior double room with sea view and it exceeded expectations. The property manager went above and beyond by arranging parking, guiding us through the town and making excellent recommendations for our stay. The room was clean, comfortable and included a bottle of wine which we enjoyed while taking in the spectacular the view from the balcony. The hotel was located close to waterfront restaurants, ferry, train and a short walk to the beach. Loved it!

Right on the water. But it can be noisy here since it is right in the city center next to boat dock, restaurants, and excursions. Paolo was awesome to help us get settled in. Very clean place. Tons of steps though in Riomaggiore. Everything is up a hill, it seems.

What a great overnight experience...we were met right at the train station and walked to the place since it was confusing to get to at first... our room was clean, and so unique. I would recommend this place to anyone but keep in mind there are a lot of steps to take to get to it...that could make it difficult for some.

Loved the location but the room is bare bones minimum. Fridge does not work. Bathroom has mold, smelly and dark. Shower stinks and water gets everywhere. Toilet seat was broken. Cannot turn lights on in hallway until you are up the stairs. Unfortunately trains were on strike when we were in town, so we were stranded with no train, bus, or taxi. Could not hike to the next town because paths were closed. Very few restaurants and shops open during December.

Finding the check-in office was a little confusing but I found a member of cleaning staff who was very helpful and took me to my room and then showed me where the office was to check in. Staff at the office were very knowledgeable of the area and helped answered all our questions. Room was very spacious and clean. No complaints, would stay again.

Keep in mind a lot of steep steps to access the Property, which is typical of the area but no mention before booking. A luggage porter charges 10euro per bag. The WiFi didn't work at all during our last day (the router was suddenly faulty) and affected our ability to do any important work. No solution was provided by the host in spite of reporting the issue hours prior. An alternative network could be accessed from the property with a poor signal but no password was provided in spite of our request. Property itself is nice and bright and airy. Noisy fan that turns on automatically with bathroom is distracting. Host is affable and was helpful with arrival orientation.

The room (Mastrale) was exceptional. It was perfect for a couple. The view was beyond compare from the large terrace. It is clean, well cared for. Paolo was welcoming, knowledgeable and helped us to plan our approach to maximize our visit. He was a pleasure to talk to and work with. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Dreaming of visiting Cinque Terre for years, we finally made it. I booked our room in advance, and got a great room at Scorci did Mare on the top with the balcony. It was everything I hoped for (plus lots of steps). We went out and walked around, brought a fresh Italian snack back and sat on the patio overlooking this beautiful city. I will be back. There a lots of hills and stairs here, be aware. The bed was hard compared to USA standard but it's normal for Italy in my previous travels.

Right by water. Very noisy at night. Do not bring large pieces of luggage as there are too many stairs to climb. If staying on lower level units pray the people above don’t go up and down the stairs as the hallway light shines in room with curtain

The location was perfect. We got a "limited view room" but the view was magnificent, there was nothing limited about the view. It is located at the main marina close to restaurants, mini markets, tours. Our host Michele, went above and beyond helping us to book the local train and hiking tickets. He was always available for any questions and solve them in a timely manner

Väldigt tillmötesgående och gästvänlig ägare, Paolo vet verkligen vad bra service innebär. Mötte oss vid tåget, hjälpte till med bagage i dom många trapporna. Även väldigt bra hjälp gällande området och livet i Riomaggiore. Fick bra tips gällande vandring, restauranger och vinprovning. Gjorde vårt besök till det bättre. Kan verkligen rekommendera boendet om man vill ta del av det lite mer inhemska. Tack Paolo!!!

Paolo was an amazing host who looked after all details from parking to excursions. His knowledge of Riomaggiore and the other Cinque Terre villages is unparalleled. The location of the the stay is in the middle of what is happening. Riomaggiore sunsets are unbelievable and the town is the best of them all. Would definitely stay here again.

We had an excellent stay here! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, especially Michele who helped carry our suitcases up the very steep stairs. Excellent communication and responsiveness. Also, very helpful in walking us to the property once we arrived there and even showing us a map of the villages and recommending where to go and what to do. The room itself was also nice for what it was, very clean which we appreciated. There was an AC unit in the room but unfortunately it turned off in the middle of the night and we couldn’t figure out how to turn it on. Other than that, great experience. Cute terrace with a nice view as well. Extremely positive experience, would definitely recommend!

Amazing location with a beautiful view directly onto the harbor, I would have expected it to be double the price! Room is simple but clean and well maintained and the huge windows are brand new. Paolo is very friendly and recommended an excellent itinerary for our day of hiking. Don’t bring too much luggage as everything in Riomaggiore is lots of steps!
