Overall, one of the best all-inclusive hotels I have stayed in, and I travel for leisure several times a year. The food was plentiful and above average, though it became a bit repetitive after about one week. The one time we dined at the on-site steak house, which requires a reservation and can only be booked once every seven nights, we wished we’d gone to the buffet instead. Drinks were good, although the cocktail list could be expanded to include more options. Our sea/pool view room was spacious enough to accommodate two adults and one teenager, and the sofa bed used by the teenager was conveniently located as far as possible from the main bed and separated by a door that you can close for privacy. I wish the hotel offered more activities and options for daytime and nighttime entertainment, including on the beach. Also wish the staff would be less pushy about making guests leave dining areas as soon as it is time to clean up after each meal. A little flexibility goes a long way in making guests feel at home, and not every single guest has to leave before you set up for the next meal. Finally, there was a strong sewage smell by the beachside bar with the big TV a couple of times, which was off-putting and should be addressed. I would still recommend the hotel. On a related note, I would advise visiting Crete for no more than one week, unless you just want to lounge beachside or poolside everyday, or you plan to explore other islands and are using Crete merely as a home base.
