We had plenty of room, much better than a Hotel. Also enjoyed the added bonus of free entry to the Raptor Centre. We had room 9 which is a 2 bed appartment with double in one bedroom 2 sinles in other, Nice lounge area, Kitchen with table and chairs and large shower room. Linen clean and white

Falcon's Nest is half a dozen rooms owned by the Raptor Foundation which is a centre for Birds of Prey. Each room is a bedroom with a kitchen and a shower room. The kitchen has a sink, fridge, microwave oven and toaster. There is a TV and free WiFi with internet access.

Very comfortable, spacious room with en-suite shower and toilet. Basic microwave, sink and cutlery and crockery provided. Chopping board and corkscrew also provided. Although there is a cafe on site, they will absolutely not serve you any food before 10:30am, so make sure you bring breakfast supplies! Entry to see the birds and reptile was good but it would be nice to have a bit more information on the raptor foundation and any events supplied in the rooms.

Oh wow! I was not quite expecting what was on site. The number and variety of birds was wonderful, and to be able to wander around and see them all was a bonus to staying at this venue. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The reception/gift shop was clean and tidy and the items on sale were too tempting to resist. My "room" (room 8) was like a chalet! A king size bed, nice and comfortable, with clean crisp linen, a separate room with 2xsingle beds. The lounge area had 2 x 2seater sofas, comfortable too, and a TV.a great kitchen area with adequate facilities which also included a washing machine. Absolutely too large for just me, ideal for a family of 4 though, but it was a great space to be able to entertain all my travelling companions from all of the other rooms on site. There were 14 of us staying at the site for the weekend.

The accommodation is fabulous, clean and comfortable and the staff are very accommodating. There was a small issue regarding how many of us were staying, but that got resolved to our satisfaction. The only thing for other guests to note is that the kitchen area has a kettle, toaster, sink and microwave and an under the counter fridge (no other cooking facilities). There is free parking and WiFi (which was a bit temperamental). Shampoo, soap, shower gel, towels, bedding, hairdryer, washing up liquid, dish cloth, tea towel, tea, coffee, sugar and basic crockery and cutlery provided. There was a tv, table and chairs and dressing table and stool, wardrobe, bedside cabinets and beds. Free entry to the animals/birds too. Really great value for money. Tea room does not serve breakfast but opens at 10. My advice would be bring bread and butter and milk and cereal and microwave dinners if not eating out, but there are plenty of places to eat out locally.

The bird sanctuary is amazing and very peaceful. Only a toaster and microwave in property, so if you want to cook to keep costs down bring ding ding meals. Many restaurants and takeaways deliver there so no problem for us. Very reasonable and would definitely stay again.

Plentiful parking in the main Raptor Foundation car park. Check in was easy, in the building which is also a gift shop. The room (room 3) was huge - microwave and fridge included. Bathroom was a wet room which I thought might be very cold but the room is centrally heated, including the bathroom. Shower isn’t very powerful but does the job. Bathroom was very clean, as was the bed/sitting area. Kitchen was clean but some attention to door/drawer handles needed. If going out after hours, take a torch as it’s a very dark walkway to the car park. Bed comfortable. Unfortunately the walls are extremely thin. I had flashbacks of living at home with my parents when I could hear a couple’s entire conversation at normal speaking volume! When the snoring started I had to live the bed across the room. The bed to this room and the one next to it, must be either side of the wall. There was no way I was getting to sleep with the noise. Bed was easy to move and I put it with the head at the wardrobe. I had a fairly good sleep until I was woken early by the couple making breakfast in the next room. Chinking of crockery and cutlery and talking. When they finally left I managed to get a little more sleep but it was one of the worst sleep experiences I’ve had. I’d definitely recommend packing earplugs. I would stay again, with the earplugs in tow!

Includes flight demonstrations, feeding and a wealth of info from friendly informative staff. Easy to find with lots of parking spaces and only s short walk to the reception and rooms.

Absolutely lovely place for couples. So peaceful and quiet and lovely to wander around the foundation whenever you want. Lovely gift shop and tea rooms. Everywhere was clean and comfortable.

Excellent coms leading up to our stay Minor issues The drains for bath, sink and loo are connected, so it’s a little surprising when emptying one causes water to gurgle and sometimes bubble up from the other. The water pressure for the shower is just about enough. The biggest issue we had was the paper-thin wall to the room next door. We could clearly hear their voices and the speakerphone they were using. Thankfully our neighbours were quiet from a reasonable time, so all was good.

Very spacious room which was even better than the photos. Lovely to be so close to the Raptor Park and the free entrance that came with the room. Kitchen areas was great. Nice to have a DVD player, but need to bring own DVDs. Lovely big bathroom. Only negative was shower was very weak and hard to get a constant temperature - alterbated between freezing cold and scolding hot. Other than that a perfect stay. We would recommend

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of space available in my property. There were effectively 2 rooms; lounge/kitchenette and bedroom in addition to the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and its a unique setting that I'd recommend to anyone. My partner and I will be back

Mixed rating for me, overall good for the price. It was pitch black when I arrived, although the reception area was well lit, walking to the actual room was not and very difficult to find in at night in the dark, I needed to use my phone torch, it may have been signposted but you couldnt see. Once in the room, it was spacious and clean, a kitchenette with microwave. Bed was "firm" but fine. The walls are very thin and could hear most of the conversation of next door. I was woken at 5:50am when the boiler kicked in very loudly, good job I was getting up early, I didnt need an alarm clock. The bathroom was nice and clean and well maintained, although the electric shower was a bit of a trickle it was no power shower. Overall the room was well cleaned, bed was fine, price was good and for just one night was fine.

This was a hidden gem. Spacious, very clean, neat, and comfortable, with all the basic needs well provided. Even dish cloths and a recycling bin were available. Unlike many other places, no issues with Wi-Fi signal, heating or the TV remote. Only minor drawbacks were hot-water control (where it can become extremely hot, particularly when turned off for a couple of minutes and then turned on again), and low level sound-proofing between apartments.

We (Mum, Dad, 15 & 8 year old) from Cornwall stayed for 3 nights. We wanted somewhere near Cambridge as my eldest is there at Uni. The location was spot on, only 30 minutes drive to the centre of Cambridge and 3 miles from St Ives where there were plenty of places for fuel, shopping and eating. The accommodation was perfect for us. The only slight thing was the sofa bed was a little less comfortable for the eldest child. But everything was clean, tidy and well equipped for us on arrival. We arrived just after reception closed and we had received a welcome text with our room number and keysafe code. The was a folder in the room with all the necessary information for our stay, very helpful! The most amazing part is the setting. A beautiful courtyard outside and free entry to the amazing Raptor Foundation literally next door! We were all excited the first morning to have a view of the 2 meerkats from our window! The Raptor centre is simply incredible: we all learnt so much and the staff and volunteers were so passionate and knowledgeable! And super friendly and helpful too! I simply can't praise them highly enough. The birds are all amazing and have proper characters and there are several flying sessions each day. A small reptile house as well and a great educational room. The lunch available in the onsite restaurant was very reasonable and extremely tasty. There is a playground for the smaller kids and a gift shop with a beautiful array of souvenirs. We will definitely be back!

This was a one night stopover on a budget. Unfortunately I wasn't able to visit the raptors but from what I could see I missed out. Check in was later than expected but I received a text with the details on how to get my room key from the safe box. Room was comfortable and clean and the kitchenette was well equipped. A bowl for cereal would have been useful. The room was a short walk to the car park, and some additional lighting, especially over the room door would be useful.

Absolutely fabulous stay well kept and was a lovely experience although I was there over the new year I didn’t have the opportunity to see the Birds due to it being closed. Excellent communication and will definitely go there again. The cafe on site was closed over the holiday period which was a shame as it meant you would have to to go elsewhere to eat, which it did mar the experience slightly it is nice to have the option my only other complaint was there wasn’t enough lighting outside the apartment and the car park was very dark. I would not venture outside after dark due to the poor lighting as my safety is paramount. Other than this it is a wonderful place to stay.

This was the second time we've stayed at Falcon's Nest. It's perfectly located for visiting family and friends in the area. Free entry into see the birds is a bonus. Staff are friendly and helpful. Accommodation is clean and quite basic, but as we were only there for a few hours each evening, it was fine. Towel racks and coat pegs would be useful. Happy to recommend staying here.

Our first stay at the Raptor Foundation but it won’t be our last! Fantastic room with en suite shower room, mini kitchen with fridge, microwave and toaster along with kettle, teabags etc. Comfortable, firm mattress and everything spotlessly clean Didn’t have much time to see the birds but went into the reptile house which was a couple of yards from our room. Plenty of free parking. Only minus is the internet was a bit flaky, mobile data (EE) didn’t work and the WiFi dropped off sometimes but a minor issue and didn’t detract from our enjoyment. Going to book the same room if available for our next visit to see family in the area. Thoroughly recommend a stay here and very good value.

Absolutely no complaints, sizeable room with ensuite and shower. Being able to see the owls and other birds of prey at the Raptor Foundation on our doorstep was great. Note it is in the middle of nowhere but it's not a long drive to the Cambridge Park and Ride and there's an Aldi and Morrisons not far down the road if you need to get anything. Fantastic stay especially for the very fair price.

Amazing value, especially considering that it includes free entry to the Raptor Foundation\'s collection of birds and flying demonstrations, with a pleasant cafe (daytime only.)

Comfortable room, working fridge, micro, kettle and a toaster. Shower very hot, nice clean towels & comfortable bed. What a delight to see the rescued birds especially before the public arrive. Includes flight demonstrations, feeding and a wealth of info from friendly informative staff. Easy to find with lots of parking spaces and only s short walk to the reception and rooms.

Not sure of what we were expecting, the stay at Falcon's Nest surpassed any presumptions. The only downside was there is no cooker or oven just a microwave and the very comfortable armchairs could just do with a recover. If you are looking for something different, this is it... just don't forget to take children with you, they will love it.

Lovely place worth way more than 3 stars. I loved the fact it had microwave and fridge so we could heat a meal up. The bed was comfy and it was so peaceful and quiet. When we woke the next morning we got to look round the birds of prey, reptiles and little meerkats it just finished off our stay. And the price was really good. Will definitely stay again. The only downside was the shower could of done with being higher up and a bigger head but not sure if it was because it was a disabled room. All in all though we were very pleased.

Excellent quiet location and good size rooms with everything you need. Very clean. Comfy beds and loved seeing the birds and wildlife too. Could really have done with freezer/ice box in fridges due to wanting to freeze our cool packs for picnics. Tv was too small. Overall we would stay again.

Very comfortable, spacious room with en-suite shower and toilet. Basic microwave, sink and cutlery and crockery provided. Chopping board and corkscrew also provided. Although there is a cafe on site, they will absolutely not serve you any food before 10:30am, so make sure you bring breakfast supplies! Entry to see the birds and reptile was good but it would be nice to have a bit more information on the raptor foundation and any events supplied in the rooms.

The only thing for other guests to note is that the kitchen area has a kettle, toaster, sink and microwave and an under the counter fridge (no other cooking facilities). There is free parking and WiFi (which was a bit temperamental). Shampoo, soap, shower gel, towels, bedding, hairdryer, washing up liquid, dish cloth, tea towel, tea, coffee, sugar and basic crockery and cutlery provided. There was a tv, table and chairs and dressing table and stool, wardrobe, bedside cabinets and beds. Free entry to the animals/birds too. Really great value for money. Tea room does not serve breakfast but opens at 10. My advice would be bring bread and butter and milk and cereal and microwave dinners if not eating out, but there are plenty of places to eat out locally.

The bird sanctuary is amazing and very peaceful. Only a toaster and microwave in property, so if you want to cook to keep costs down bring ding ding meals. Many restaurants and takeaways deliver there so no problem for us. Very reasonable and would definitely stay again.

Lovely area to stay, we travel all over the country for different reasons and i thought it was pricey compared to places offering equivalent facilities. Only other complaint was the bed which was not very comfortable.
Lovely area to stay, we travel all over the country for different reasons and i thought it was pricey compared to places offering equivalent facilities. Only other complaint was the bed which was not very comfortable.
