The room, and pool were immaculate. The staff were very friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions etc. The indoor pool is large and they provide a nice changing area with towels and showers. They bring you a nice continental breakfast each morning to your room when you ask for it. The hotel is in a great location and is reasonably priced. Recommend it highly!

We loved our stay here. We stayed in a standard room. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. There was a back door that opened out onto a communal deck area. The grounds are very nice.The ice machine was close by. The pool area was nice with a large pool; although it was a little cold. I loved that we could call a number and have our breakfast delivered. Genius! The breakfast was a nice treat with fruit, pastries/breakfast cake and (good)coffee. The hotel is in a nice area with a great market across the street that has prepared foods, pastries, coffee and snacks/drinks. I do want to mention that I booked this hotel through Expedia and it does say that check in ends at 10:00. But it also says you can call and make arrangements with the hotel for late check in. When I called the hotel at least a week in advance, they made it clear that they frown upon late check in but that if I called the hotel on the day of they would make arrangements for us. When I called back on the day of check in I received more pushback, but they were willing to make accommodations for us, which was much appreciated. I do want to stress that we had a lovely stay here and everyone was friendly and helpful. Just check in before 10:00pm lol.

When we first walked in the staff was so welcoming and friendly. Our room was very clean. The indoor pool is by far the nicest indoor pool that we've ever seen. I also shouldn't forget the coffee, pastries, and fruit in the morning were incredible

Location was great. Small market across the street with gourmet coffee and sandwiches. Short walk to town so no issues with traffic and parking. Pool was amazing, warm with dressing rooms. Overall a wonderful stay.

The Taber Inn stressed that their rooms are sound proof. It is listed under every picture they post on Expedia. However, it certainly is NOT. I heard conversations of the people above me and next to me. Also, housekeeping was vacuuming the hallway at 9:00 am and woke us up. Also, they must not vacuum the actual rooms before new guests arrive because there were random long grey hairs on the carpet and I don’t have grey hair. Gross.

We were two couples from Boston looking for a holiday overnight in Mystic. Perfect idea. Main Street was full of lights, shops, carolers and shops. The Inn was spotless and the service was excellent.

I would definitely stay here again. Our single king room was very spacious and the whole property is very clean. Front desk attendant was very friendly took the time when we checked in to show us a map of the area and make several suggestions on things to do and where to eat. We were there for two nights and didn't have daily housekeeping but had more than enough towels in the spacious bathroom, and he said we could call the front desk for anything we might need. The daily breakfast was a banana, tangerine, and pastry (coffee cake, blueberry muffin, etc.) Plus coffee for my husband and orange juice for me. The grounds are lovely and well kept. The indoor heated pool is huge and the towels there were plentiful, plus the shower rooms were nice and clean. We had a great stay!

While we liked our stay at the Taber Inn - we had a massive ant issue in our luxury townhouse. The carpet was not seamed to the door and ants swarmed at both the front door and back patio door covering our shoes, fruit and wrapped food on the dining table we had left for later as well as all over our belongings that were near the area. While housekeeping came and sprayed the area, the problem was pervasive and damage was already done, and we could not wait to leave the next morning.

This property is quite outdated. Not particularly clean either. Old fashioned canopy above the bed was stained brown, rather gross. Also requested that my bed linens be changed due to a pink stain that was there and they said sure……but didn’t change them. ☹️.

This hotel ws a very pleasant surprise. The staff were LOVELY! The room was incredible with a fireplace and a jacuzzi. Loved the location and the bed was heavenly. The breakfast was disappointing but that was like 2% of our experience - the hotel is fantastic, but we ended up buying coffees and breakfast somewhere else so not a big deal.

The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The 'room' was really an apartment - two levels with a dining room, living room, full kitchen, two bedrooms, and 2-1/2 baths. Each level had a deck and parking was right outside the front door. There's a train track just behind our building but the trains were quiet and not an issue.

The Taber Inne is a lovely place to stay but definitely more like a motel than a hotel. It has outdoor access to rooms but also a back door that leads to a very nice back deck area with chairs. The room is pretty small for 3 adults and the bathroom is tiny with limited counter space. Overall it was a good place to spend the night.

We have been visiting Mystic for many years and always wondered about staying at the Taber Inn(e), and we are happy we finally did. The room service breakfast was great, the hotel staff was friendly, and the rooms were charming. The one drawback was the street noise in the morning.

The hotel is extremely clean though the furniture in the room dated. Free parking and you can walk into Mystic and to the Mystic Seaport Museum or a quick drive. Also, a short walk to the Amtrak station. Very good swimming pool. Staff super helpful and friendly. Breakfast skimpy (one tangerine, one banana and one small piece of cake or a muffin per person and poor coffee). Nonetheless,we had a very nice stay.

This was a great place to stay. Very cute/nice, clean and perfect location. It was rainy when we went so the pool seemed warm, it was still chilly. There was a lack of counter space in the bathroom and no microwave or refrigerator in the room. I should have paid more attention to that. The family upstairs was very loud through the floor.

Check in was a breeze and the man that checked us in (sorry I forgot his name). Gave us loads of info about the town, restaurants and places not to be missed. Room was inviting and comfortable with a 10+ for cleanliness. We were only there for one night but would definitely recommend.

The breakfast is awkward because you call a number to have fruit and coffee delivered to your room. I’d rather a more traditional breakfast arrangement where you can go to a central location on the property to get what you want. The rest of the amenities and offerings were fantastic. The front desk gave fantastic recommendations.

The Taber Inne was a fantastic place to stay in Mystic! We were given a rundown of all the holiday happenings in Mystic at check-in and got suggestions for dinner. The room was immaculate and the bedding was soft and warm. Don’t skip out on the in-room coffee and pastries! We asked for some extra fruit for our toddler and not only did we get that, but they also brought him his own orange juice. We didn’t get to try the indoor pool - but it is heated and open year round. Overall, cannot be happier with our stay!

We had a wonderful stay. Property was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast delivery was an added bonus! Staff was friendly and very informative (guided us to the beautiful nearby St. Edmunds Retreat/church that is located on the water). A short trip to lovely Stonington and the Velvet Mill were also great excursions. We will be back!

Check in was amazing and the owner actually walked us to our room to show us around. This is an older property in excellent condition. Our room had character and was clean as can be. We would definitely stay here again.

Location was good so we could walk around the drawbridge part of Mystic but also have an easy time and and out with less traffic. Drive to the aquarium was just a couple of minutes. Motel itself is fine. It was nothing fancy but it was a top notch 3-star hotel.

Short drive to all the Mystic attractions. We actually walked to the Seaport Museum and downtown but had to walk along a semi busy road and it took at least 20 minutes. But we are walkers so we didn't mind. Jacuzzi tub was nice but separate shower stall was a little tight.

Nothing special, but a place to stay close to Mystic. Very overpriced for not having free Breakfast (you will get delivery to your room upon request - coffee, muffin, banana, mandarin). No refrigerator, no coffee in the room, no safe - just TV on You Tube Cables. Described on reservation as free breakfast - you need to decide if this is free breakfast?!!!! In your room? Their breakfast is similar to Motel 6 which is clean and minimal equipped same as The Taber Inn.

Taber Inn was a lovely place to stay. There isn’t anything bad to say. The staff are all very friendly. The breakfast delivery to your room was excellent. It’s very clean! It’s convenient for walking to town. We will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Taber Inn. We were greeted and given a small tour as we were escorted to our room. Our room was spacious and we loved having a back porch to sit on. The jetted tub was clean and wonderful. The beds were comfortable. The indoor pool is large and had locker room access. It is secured with a security code so only guests may enter. Only downside: rooms have no mini fridge, microwave, or coffee maker. The hotel does offer coffee, fruit, and pastry delivery to your room at breakfast should you request it. That was a nice treat. The TV was a bit on the small side given the large space we had in the room. We would certainly stay here again.

Great location and friendly staff! Room was exactly as described with jacuzzi tub and fireplace! We were suprised to find that no microwave or refrigerator in the room. The continental breakfast being delivered to the room is a great service but they don’t offer it until 8am so if you are an early riser you have to go out and get coffee as there is none available otherwise. Bed was comfy.

There is not too much you could walk to except for the market, which is directly across the street. There was no heat (until October) in our room, but we did not need it. The whole Inn area is very well kept and extremely clean. To me the Continental breakfast was just so-so, but it is complimentary. The entire staff was welcoming, pleasant and informative. The jetted tub in our room and the “back porch” with seating were two nice touches.

Very cute inn, excellent location and amazing service. Note: If you're like me and need coffee the minute you wake up, you'd better sleep in late. No coffee makers in the rooms and no place to get coffee nearby. They will deliver coffee to you, but not until 8am. Thank God I had one packet of Starbucks Via and the tap water got really hot!

Continental breakfast was delivered to our room. Very impressed with the coffee, I’m very picky about coffee! Room was great though the cleaning stuff they use has a very strong smell, that was the only negative. Jacuzzi was awesome after a long day of work!

Rooms were very clean and comfortable, the surrounding area well kept, a great eatery right across the street; but the "breakfast" served at the inn horrible (stale coffee, supermarket muffins, and two bananas). I suggest removing the breakfast all together and either offering vouchers for the eatery across the street or just telling patrons about it as a great breakfast option.
