Room was clean. Hotel was clean. Pool area was alright. The water slide created a crazy amount of noise in the pool area. So if you plan on going to use the pool or hot tub account for alot of noise

Everything was excellent. It’s close to Giant Tiger and you can just run across to grab some snacks or pick up something you forgot. The pool has a fun slide and we didn’t get any annoying people waking during the night with loud noises.

checked into my room, was dirty had boogers,stains and hair in the beds..complained and got another “clean room” this one also had hair a huge white bug and what looked like poorly cleaned throw up.. had to leave to another hotel gross won’t be back

Bathrooms were tiny and if I was any bigger in size, I would have issues getting in and out of the bathroom. The vent to the fan in the bathroom was completely dirty and covered in dust. While walking down the hotel hallways it smelled like manure or bad bodily odour. The pool area was very wet everywhere you stepped and not well maintained. Water all the way to the door, once you enter the pool area. Lots of tools to clean the pool area right beside the door to the pool area but did not see any staff actually use it. The bedding was a duvet wrapped in sheets, which I thought was odd. Front desk staff were lovely but do not think I will be staying her again.

I had to switch rooms three times because of cleanliness concerns. There was hair on the bed sheets and the toilet seat was not cleaned properly. This was especially frustrating as it occurred on Christmas Eve, turning what should have been a relaxing stay into an inconvenient one. Cleanliness standards need improvement.

This property is old and tired. It has a lot of signage indicating non-smoking, but there is a strong smoke smell around the building. The room appeared clean, bathroom and bedding was fine but it was definitely not vacuumed since the last guest. We found nail clippings and hair on our floor which was very unappealing. This hotel could benefit from some updates and renovations. The bathroom needs more towel racks or hooks and everywhere needs better ventilation.

We were comfortable in the room, which was nice. The only things about our stay that caused a 4 star overall rating was the tiny bathroom and the terrible showerhead. It was a little noisy when we were trying to go to sleep, lots of loud children. But overall it was a pleasant stay.

We didn't have breakfast, so cannot give a review. The room was clean. The bathroom was extremely small. The grout around the tub was cracked and molding. We like the convenience of being fairly close to shopping along Regent Avenue.

This motel was clean, had friendly staff and a large comfortable room and bed. Only downside was the room was across from the gym and beside the security door which people were coming and going through till late evening. Very loud!

Arrived at 3 and room wasn’t ready which was okay as I was early. Checked at 4 and room still was not ready. At 530 room was still not ready and I had to take a different room. Further away from my daughter and her kids. I was helping them with the kids. We had a function to go to at 530 and I couldn’t shower or get ready. Thoroughly disheartened by this. We pay good mo ey for these rooms and count on having them when we arrive.

Front desk clerk at check-in was very friendly and helpful. Once we got to the room someone called up after a few minutes to make sure everything was good and to see if we needed anything. The rooms were nice and we enjoyed the pool.

Staff at check in made mistake and didn’t listen to what I was telling them. I booked through Expedia and had chose pay at property. Check in desk employee said no that I had payed Expedia. I left it at that because I needed time to check emails. When checking out L brought up the fact that I chose pay at property. She said oh yea I see that now we have put it on your credit card. WHAT. I was never informed or asked. No one should put a charge on a credit card without authorization. I wanted to debit the the fee. She offered to reverse it but I chose to leave it because of the Postal strike. It’s one thing to make the first mistake but quite another to charge someone’s credit card with out authorization. Staying at this hotel is now questionable.

Unsafe area. Within 20 minutes of arriving, someone drove up to us trying to sell gold necklaces or watches. Horrible location and staff was unfriendly which is the hallmark of a poorly run establishment. Will Never stay here again!

I was really impressed with staff friendliness and desire to help. The pools were clean and fun and well kept. Shopping and dining we're all within walking distance or just a few minutes drive. I will be going again!

We like to use Canad Inns Transcona because it is close to our family when we come in to visit. We enjoy the pool and the Tavern but most of the time we are out and about with family.

We had a reservation for 7:30pm in the restaurant for the seafood Buffet Dinner. Halfway through our dinner at 7:55 pm we were asked to pay our bill and grab what we wanted from the buffet as they were shutting down at 8:pm. I had my relatives from London England with me and they were horrified and I was mortified. I asked to at least have a takeout tray so I could finish my dinner in my room. I was told that because it was a Seafood Buffet they couldn’t give me one. When we reserved a table for 7:30pm we had no idea that they closed the restaurant at 8:00pm. They did not inform us. The restaurant was on-site on the hotel. When we first arrived at the hotel to check on to our rooms I was given a room that wreaked of water damage. I had to ask for another room.

The building exterior is nothing outstanding but looks can be deceiving, as I was quite pleased with the rooms, pool, and general state of the interior. Everyone was friendly and helpful if I needed anything, and I enjoyed Tavern United very much! The main thing that left me disappointed was Aaltos, the other connected restaurant. The food was bland and unappetizing, and the wait times were atrocious considering there was no one eating in the restaurant.
