I have not rated the stay at Makkah Hotel Excellent just because of number of lifts in service. There are 30 floors and only 2 working lifts to take you to your room. Sometime had to wait more than 15 min to get into lift as it was always busy. Apart from that, in terms of location couldn’t have been any better as hotel is in boundary of Kaaba. Rooms though were old but clean and service was also good.

Hotel under renovation but location is very good and rooms were clean. Staff was helpful as well. Now there is an access from the bridge straight into the hotel so no taxi issues when checking on or out

Excellent hotel. Great and helpful staff. Housekeeping staff are helpful whenever we needed anything. Masjid on 6th floor good for spiritual experience as located in Al-Haraam. I will love to stay here again

The property is ageing now however clean. Location wise you cannot get better than this. Stayed 3 nights however only had the breakfast the once and it was amazing. Value for money and would recommend. Lifts can be a bit slow at prayer times.

Hotel needs urgent refurbishment. Most of the time 2 to 3 lifts remained under maintenance causing long wait to commute. House keeping is poor with slow response. Only positive point is hotel vicinity to Haram. Management must invest in the property to keep it attractive.

The hotel location was amazing, right across from the Haram but the speaker system in the hotel didn’t work so we requested it to be fixed or a room replacement but all fell on deaf ears, the staff promised but didn’t deliver and when I asked again they said we would have to pay extra for it, why advertise it when they don’t have it. Same with the prayer room with a view, there is NO VIEW of the Haram!!! Very old and outdated hair dryer in the bathroom, we requested a new one but they didn’t have any. WiFi was poor, had to use my cellular data! No weighing machines or service to check luggage weight. The bathroom was nice, shower was great but the toilet was too low and the seat shifted suddenly, which was scary. This place definitely needs updating, especially for the price they charge.

The location is unbeatable, even better than the Clock Tower. You step out of the hotel through its shopping floor, and you’re right in the Haram. There’s a food court on the third floor with plenty of dining options, and Romancia along with several other restaurants are within walking distance. We stayed in a quad room with a divider separating the beds, which was a great layout. The staff were amazing — friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Price-wise, it’s on the higher side, and the shops are also quite pricey, but overall, I really don’t have anything negative to say about this hotel.

At first, we had some issues with the check-in staff, which made the arrival a bit stressful. However, the next day the Guest Relations Manager, Shyram, was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. His professionalism and kindness really turned our experience around. Also a big thank you to the housekeeping team, who were always friendly and attentive. very kind team at concierge and vallet. Overall, a good stay thanks to their great service — and we’re already coming back again on Sunday!

Makkah Hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia is a wonderful place to stay. Very convenient location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt relaxed and welcomed from the moment we arrived. A beautiful hotel with a luxurious feel and excellent location however.....Bathroom needs updating....toilet seat was very loose and muslim shower hose not on right hand side of toilet and outdated hairdryer and no iron in the room. Breakfast was almost the same everyday with mainly vegetarian food and disappointing variety.Duty manager was not polite and she ignored me. I left a message and was told someone will call back but no one followed up. Poor customer care. House keeping staff very hardworking.

Toilet was clogged not fixed after call. Hot water in shower was not working barely warm called but no engineer came to fix! Should refund price of stay told checkout representative Fahad!! Security made my limousine outside for 20 minutes after giving the tag number I had to com and ask him to release our car so my wife can enter at front of hotel and luggage’s can be loaded, terrible after bel boy mentioned and reception mentioned!!!

We had booked a room for 4 people and only got 3 beds. Asked for another bed and reception said they don't provide additional beds.. We arrived after a 16 hour travel and just wanted to rest. The room wasn't prepared properly either They would only give 3 items rather than 4, ie complimentary items. Had to ask for more which was embarrassing. Seemed like the room was only prepared for 3 people. The best thing was the multiple exits towards Haram. Would advise to check the room beforehand. It was only the day before leaving they rang to ask how the stay was and what time we would be checking out that they got their act together and bought an extra bed into the room.

Excellent location. V close to Haram which is what we cared about the most. Plenty of shopping options downstairs. Food in buffet was okay not as expected in 5 star hotel, but that was not a priority for us.

Great staff. Room was clean. We chose to have breakfast and dinner at hotel and the food was amazing! Lots of south asian options for food. Hotel located very close to the Kaaba, really close to gate 79 and 84. Lots of shopping area around, theres a mall in the hotel, 3rd fl and 1st floor. (One staff arranged a car for us to go to the train station- but his driver charged us 3x the price- that was very disappointing) aside from this experience, all staff members were super nice and friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for 6 nights i. The only good thing is the location. The junior staff is ok but the rest are rude and care less. They never welcome you or wish you a safe trip when living. I requested for renovated room but they put me in the most ugliest hotel room I have ever seen. I think it hasn’t been touched since the seventies. The curtains were falling off the wooden windows. I sent them email way before arrival that I wanted a renovated room but they never even acknowledged it let alone reply me. They refused to get me a taxi when we were living. The breakfast is below average with some days hot dog as the only available protein. I really regret lodging in this hotel and never ever again even if it’s free, and no I don’t recommend it, look elsewhere and you will be happy. All the hotels around are gorgeous with excellent rooms and services
