we forfeited our money rather than stay in this hotel. We arrived and found dirty carpet on the stairs. Our room was tiny and the bed basically a full size. Apparently double means something different in UK. One towel set laid out. No air conditioning. Dingy. We stayed only long enough to search for another room to move to. Front desk said “that’s the room you booked” when I said room wasn’t up to standard. I did t look too closely at amenities but breakfast room is down steep dingy flight of stairs in basement. I do not recommend this place.

The room did smell of smoke when we entered it, even though it is a non smoking room. There were staff chatting below the window and the smoke may have come up from that area because the windows needed to remain open due to the heat. The iron was missing and the ironing board had two big burn holes in it, this probably was the reason the iron was not present. The beds were clean and ok. The cark park nearby was ok except the entrance and exit had high kerbs that were very narrow and wider vehicles would struggle with these especially ones with nice alloys.

10 minutes walk from Rochester castle and high street. Located just on the Strood side of Rochester Bridge. Room was acceptable, with a nice en-suite equipped with shower gel and shampoo. No air-con unfortunately, but a fan was provided (weather was v hot during my stay). Staff were polite and helpful. I paid just over 90 quid for a double room. Acceptable value

Walkable for Rochester Castle gigs, though nearest station is Strood and not Rochester. Staff were helpful. Property was clean.
