A lovely, small, private hotel situated in an ideal location, just on the edge of Doune. Really impressed with the service, Andrew could not have been more helpful, checking on our arrival - and making sure there was a spot to park our car on arrival! Breakfast and lunch were great - the Lorne sausage at breakfast was awesome!

Cozy little inn with stylish rooms and a nice bar and restaurant. We enjoyed drinks and snacks at the bar before dinner. If you go on a Sunday please get the Roast! It was delicious as were all the other dishes. You can order off the menu for breakfast. Only downside is there is no elevator so if your bags are heavy be prepared to lug them up the stairs. Was a great stay all in all! Thank you

Loved this hotel. The room was cosy and spacious and the bar downstairs was lovely. I think it must have been recently renovated as it was modern but warm and welcoming. The restaurant was great - it even had a separate vegetarian menu which my wife appreciated. The staff were friendly and helpful so do yourself a favour and eat onsite, but it's a good idea to book as they get pretty busy.

An excellent stay at the Woodside, the staff were extremely helpful and everything was presented to the finest detail Polite and friendly welcome, table for food was booked on arrival. The menu had something for everyone, and the waiting staff went above and beyond for the guests. The breakfast choice was great, choice of cooked and continental which is a nice touch.

A very comfortable overnight stay on our travel north to Scotland. Check in was efficient and quick. We had a nice evening meal in the restaurant. It was really busy so glad we had reserved. The choice of food was good with some daily specials. All our dishes were fresh and delicious. The drinks list was interesting with good options. In the morning we opted for cooked breakfast which was extra as only continental breakfast was included. All in all a good experience. Will definitely consider again on our travels north.

Great stay, rooms were clean and the bathroom a great size as well as nice and clean. Huge towel rack which was nice and warm. Plenty of tea amd treats in the room, which was greatly appreciated. Must book table for evening meal as it is super popular. The breakfast was generous and beautiful. Definitely will go back if we qere in the area

Impromptu stay (good weather) so booked at night at the Woodside. On arrival a nice wee bonus to be upgraded. Our room and the other facilities were spotlessly clean, the bed comfy and the shower great. The bar and restaurant both for drinks, dinner and breakfast had excellent choice and beautifully cooked….but what made the Woodside special was the staff….the service was excellent and friendly. Great stay, we’ll be back….with friends in tow.

The Woodside is easy to find and very well presented. The staff were very friendly and the check in process was very straight forward. The whole hotel gave us a sense it is loved and looked after. It was very clean throughout. Our room was lovely. Just what we needed. High quality, clean, fresh but not over the top. The room was very well equipped and even had a little snack box. It's the little details that make all the difference. We also ate at the restaurant in the evening and had our continental breakfast in the morning. All the food and service was excellent. We'd definitely recommend the Woodside and would not hesitate to stay again.

Excellent staff, great food, comfortable bed, excellent biscuits etc , quiet. Decent sized bathroom, floor could have been mopped more thoroughly. For a long stay a wardrobe rather than the wall mounted hanging would be required but perfectly OK for a few days.

Very quaint hotel with lovely decorations. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable. We enjoyed finding some snacks in our room. The included breakfast was tasty and perfect for our needs. The walls are a little thin but we turned on the fan in the room for white noise and it worked great.

As soon as we went to check in we were given a free upgrade. Great start! The room and en-suite bathroom were spotless. The bed and pillows comfortable. We had a lovely meal. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be staying at Woodside again.

From the moment we stepped inside the door, we knew we had made the right choice in choosing this hotel. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the décor is modern and cosy, and the staff are lovely. Check in was simple and straightforward. We stayed in 'Oak' which overlooks the front of the building. The king room is spacious, with a lovely en suite shower room. We were delighted to find some tasty snacks, bottled water, and tea and coffee to enjoy. The room was warm, the bed was so comfortable, and the shower was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our cooked breakfasts in the morning, and our evening meal in the restaurant was just fantastic. Our only small niggle, was that we could hear the people in the next room talking (and snoring!), and as the windows are old single paned glass, we could hear every car and lorry going past from early morning. A bit more soundproofing would make this a wonderful hotel to come back to. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Woodside, as the standard of accommodation and hospitality is so high. We are planning a stay at the Allan Park in Stirling in the near future, and are confident that we will not be disappointed.

Beautiful property. Comfortable bed. Fantastic shower. (Hey, sometimes the pressure isn't great in a rental!). We had dinner in the onsite bistro and it was magnificent. The only downside was the TV didn't work despite the staff's efforts. The next morning at breakfast we overheard other guests had the same complaint.

Shower pressure is amazing, you can’t hear your neighbors at night, curtains are dark so minimal light comes in. Beds themself and standard, lots of pillow options but much (and I mean much) more comfortable than most other hotels. I wish I had booked here my entire stay.

The pub/hotel was lovely for an overnight stop on our way north. Room and bathroom were modern & spotless.Food was good, staff are lovely. The only problem overnight was the proximity to a busy A road, the noise only died down between 1am-5am so bring some ear plugs 😀.

We had the most wonderful stay, sadly just for one night. The entire experience was 5stars+ Quick check in, beautiful clean comfortable room with treats, and an exceptionally well designed lounge/bar/dining room layout with just the right amount of styling. The staff was simply magnifient - young but very professional and knowledgeable. We had dinner there and it was another delight. Excellent wines, spirits and craft beers to complement the exquisite food. Andrew and Struan provided outstanding service as well as others whose names escape me - apologies. The Breakfast choices were many and varied and the cooked items were hot and tasty, wholesome and hearty. I believe all the food is locally sourced where possible. What an wonderful place to stay. We would be back in a heartbeat!

A warm welcome & staff were extremely helpful. Room was lovely with everything we needed including little treats which was a lovely touch. Food was excellent. All in all we would definitely recommend a stay here, customer service is outstanding

We had a very comfortable one night stay at The Woodside. The staff were friendly and efficient and the service was done with a smile. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. The room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. The hotel is in a good location and we were able to walk into town and down to the castle in no time at all. We will definitely return for another stay.

An excellent stay at the Woodside, the staff were extremely helpful and everything was presented to the finest detail Polite and friendly welcome, table for food was booked on arrival. The menu had something for everyone, and the waiting staff went above and beyond for the guests. The breakfast choice was great, choice of cooked and continental which is a nice touch.

Impromptu stay (good weather) so booked at night at the Woodside. On arrival a nice wee bonus to be upgraded. Our room and the other facilities were spotlessly clean, the bed comfy and the shower great. The bar and restaurant both for drinks, dinner and breakfast had excellent choice and beautifully cooked….but what made the Woodside special was the staff….the service was excellent and friendly. Great stay, we’ll be back….with friends in tow.

The Woodside is easy to find and very well presented. The staff were very friendly and the check in process was very straight forward. The whole hotel gave us a sense it is loved and looked after. It was very clean throughout. Our room was lovely. Just what we needed. High quality, clean, fresh but not over the top. The room was very well equipped and even had a little snack box. It's the little details that make all the difference. We also ate at the restaurant in the evening and had our continental breakfast in the morning. All the food and service was excellent. We'd definitely recommend the Woodside and would not hesitate to stay again.

A lovely, small, private hotel situated in an ideal location, just on the edge of Doune. Really impressed with the service, Andrew could not have been more helpful, checking on our arrival - and making sure there was a spot to park our car on arrival! Breakfast and lunch were great - the Lorne sausage at breakfast was awesome!

The Woodside was a very nice hotel in a good location within Doune. My family enjoyed the stay. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The restaurant had good food at reasonable prices, and a very good to-order breakfast included in the room price. There is a well-maintained trail loop along the river to Doune a very short walk from the hotel too.

We had a very comfortable one night stay at The Woodside. The staff were friendly and efficient and the service was done with a smile. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. The room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. The hotel is in a good location and we were able to walk into town and down to the castle in no time at all. We will definitely return for another stay.

The pub/hotel was lovely for an overnight stop on our way north. Room and bathroom were modern & spotless.Food was good, staff are lovely. The only problem overnight was the proximity to a busy A road, the noise only died down between 1am-5am so bring some ear plugs 😀.

A very comfortable overnight stay on our travel north to Scotland. Check in was efficient and quick. We had a nice evening meal in the restaurant. It was really busy so glad we had reserved. The choice of food was good with some daily specials. All our dishes were fresh and delicious. The drinks list was interesting with good options. In the morning we opted for cooked breakfast which was extra as only continental breakfast was included. All in all a good experience. Will definitely consider again on our travels north.

Beautiful property. Comfortable bed. Fantastic shower. (Hey, sometimes the pressure isn't great in a rental!). We had dinner in the onsite bistro and it was magnificent. The only downside was the TV didn't work despite the staff's efforts. The next morning at breakfast we overheard other guests had the same complaint.

Arrived pretty late, around 10pm. Checkin was very quick, the staff let us know that the bar and kitchen were closed however they could make us a drink and bring it up. We were surprised, as it says all day eat/stay. And this was a Saturday night. The room was spacious and well decorated. On the counter we’re free snacks, and the cocktail we choose (rosemary fizz) was delicious. Breakfast in the morning was included, and the spread offered typical Scottish breakfast and alternative milks thankfully. If you plan to check in late, cal ahead and also plan to eat prior to arriving late. There are very few delivery options.

Loved this hotel. The room was cosy and spacious and the bar downstairs was lovely. I think it must have been recently renovated as it was modern but warm and welcoming. The restaurant was great - it even had a separate vegetarian menu which my wife appreciated. The staff were friendly and helpful so do yourself a favour and eat onsite, but it's a good idea to book as they get pretty busy.

Great stay, rooms were clean and the bathroom a great size as well as nice and clean. Huge towel rack which was nice and warm. Plenty of tea amd treats in the room, which was greatly appreciated. Must book table for evening meal as it is super popular. The breakfast was generous and beautiful. Definitely will go back if we qere in the area

Amazing free breakfast. Best Scottish breakfast we have had! Room had everything we could ask for. Stocked with complementary water and snacks. Bed was the perfect size. Would definitely stay again when traveling to Doune.

All was really good at the Hotel. However! The main reason we chose to stay was that they're were EV charger advertised. When we came to use the charger it was so slow that we would have had to stay an extra night to get a full charge. We then had to drive to another station to charge up. Nothing the Hotel staff could do. No partial refund offered when requested.
