The staff at Arbutus Grove made us feel very welcome, including our dog. They were very kind and considerate. Many dog-friendly motels get very strict when you mention you have a dog with you, and slam you with a long list of additional rules. Arbutus Grove welcomed our doggy with big smiles.

I tripped over parking lot White painted curb because they blended in with the white painted parking lot lines. The room is clean and refreshing lawns trimmed with barbeque accessories all and all, it was a comfortable clean place to stay.

The property is owned by a friendly couple, room is cleaner than many 4 or even 5 stars hotel. The air-conditioning is very quiet and I couldn’t hear any noise overnight, Ricky’s is right next door and they do room service so which is a great option since there’s not a lot restaurants around. We would definitely stay there again if we go to Parksville again.

Motel pratique pour un passage rapide à Parksville. Chambre spacieuse, bien équipée, globalement assez propre (cependant quelques miettes sous le rebord du lit). Bonne situation géographique à une dizaine de minutes de route du centre-ville et de la plage publique. La dame à l’accueil qui est aussi une des propriétaires apparemment n’est pas professionnelle. Nous avions besoin d’eau potable pour les biberons de bébé; il y en avait à la réception mais elle n’acceptait que du cash pour les vendre et nous n’avions pas d’argent liquide. Elle m’a donc dit de façon taquine d’envoyer mon conjoint faire un tour pour en chercher…

Our renovated room was clean and spacious. The motel wasn’t busy but they put guests next to each other and the walls are thin so conversations could be heard. Also tried to check in at 2 and told to return because carpets were being cleaned but our room had no carpet. Strange. The price was right for overnight stay and we were only there to sleep. Noisy road in front. Towels were like rags. Clean but very worn and rough. When we did check in after 4, the lady at the desk was much nicer than the man was earlier.

After our second day we realized our room wasn’t getting cleaned!! We asked and they said you need to ask! Well at check in this should have been disclosed! Over $200 a night and no daily housekeeping?!? They blamed COVID for not cleaning! That’s over 5 years ago. We asked for towels and they gave us two…. For 2 grown adults! Beds were comfy, located in a good spot. Communication at check in would have been appreciated!

I will definitely stay here again. I love being able to pull up my vehicle right in front of the room door. I loved the modernity of the rooms interior. Everything was clean & lovely. The mattress was comfortable and the room spacious. The front desk folks were friendly & welcoming. I enjoyed my stay, thank you!

Called up to book a room for my wife as she was caught in the extreme weather and having to stay in the car. They checked the room and got it cleaned early and got her checked in and out of the weather so quickly. They were excellent to her and our pup she was staying with. So friendly and helpful have stayed there before will stay again.

Cannot recommend this place enough. The location is great (easy to get to and there’s an amazing coffee shop across the street), the rooms are so clean and cozy, and the owners are so kind and accommodating. We were coming from the mainland and were checking in later than office hours. I had messaged them days prior and they had been more than willing to work with us to ensure a smooth check in. They even called us an hour or so before we were slotted to arrive to make sure we knew how to find our keys!

The location was convenient being along the highway yet the noise from the road wasn’t noticeable inside the room. There were lots of walking trails, beaches and shops to check out nearby. The room was comfortable, simple and clean. I felt safe as a solo female traveler and would book this motel again if I’m ever in the area again. Oh and the lady at the front desk was very friendly!

Super friendly service, the people who work here want to ensure you have a terrific stay. The place is clean, bright, and there is a wonderful coffee shop across the street that open early! Unfortunately our mattress needed replacing and the topper kept sliding off, and since we stayed in order to sleep, this made for a less pleasant stay.

Nice landscaping and connected to Smittys for food take out or delivery. Cozy and clean. Like the soap/shampoo dispensers. On a busy road but sleeping wasn’t a problem. Did hear neighbors at 6:30am. Turned off AC. Too cold. Friendly staff. Did have to ask for towels.
