Stayed 1 night

Only stayed one night workmen working all night resurfacing the road outside i managed to get in the tiny car park but blocked in by the workmen if i has wanted to go out in my car in the evening. The room was fine not keep on shared bathrooms but had a sink in the room. You get a kettle and a coffee percolator but no coffee for the peculator which was a shame. Overall was fine no big issues big Tesco nearby as no food available that night .Café nearby was not open early enough when i wanted to leave.I would stay again though.

They no longer do food, unless you want a free hotdog with 2 drinks!!? Room was basic but tidy, shower was horrid so I didn’t bother bathroom was quite damp, it’s a pub with rooms so better than a tent. Only on road parking or you can park across the road at the rugby club. Overall…. Not great.

The property is 300 years old, and the daily rate amongst the cheapest for the area…so expectations should be set accordingly. The good: spacious rooms and some off-street parking out front. Easy to find and very quiet (despite being on a main road). Great double-paned windows. Check-in was easy. While the bar doesn’t serve food, there is heaps of amenity nearby. This was a good launching spot to explore Bristol and Bath (train a 5-10 min walk). The not-so-good: The room was surface level clean…but smelled quite strongly of smoke, and the bathroom in need of some fit and finish.
