Required accommodation with our dog, for Gatwick Airport. Fulfilled all our needs. The room was ideal with access to the spacious garden.Very good parking with easy access to our room. The beer garden was a bonus, very quiet when we were there. Had an evening meal which was very good. The staff were exceptional, very friendly.

Convenient location for Gatwick and long-term parking options. 16th century building with bedrooms in character separate block. Upstairs bedrooms only accessible by steps but large size with King bed, chair and desk. Large bathroom and good shower. Very good breakfast with locally sourced ingredients and large portions. We were a late check in and manager brought us bottles from the bar to our room. Would stay again for sure.

Fantastic place to stay, especially if you’re on the way to Gatwick. The journey in the morning was easy but it’s not so close that you get aircraft noise. The welcome was friendly, the staff very helpful, the rooms were beautiful and so was the food in the restaurant. We had a very good breakfast included. There’s a lovely garden and plenty of footpaths nearby for good walks. Our upstairs room’s bathroom had a stylish freestanding bath which could be difficult to get in and out of and had a shower spray rather than a separate shower, but the room downstairs was very accessible so it’s still a great place for anyone with mobility issues. Highly recommend

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were not made to feel rushed, even though we arrived as the restaurant should have been closing. Excellent evening meal.

The staff were very friendly and the room was beautiful but it was on the same level and overlooked the beer garden, so I think that this could be a problem in the summer. It also had an interconnecting door, which meant I could hear my noisy neighbours very clearly!

Super cute little cottage style inn with beautiful outdoor seating area and cozy little nooks inside to enjoy a bite to eat or a cocktail. Had dinner and breakfast in their restaurant and both meals were very tasty. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed. Would definitely stay in this charming little inn again!

Probably should not be open Sunday night for hotel as bar closes at 6 and no food after 4 which was a surprise. Poor breakfast with a bacon sandwich inexplicably including balsamic vinegar. Taxi to and from hotel (to Gatwick)£25-£30 each way.

Great location for a pre-flight overnight stay near Gatwick. Spotlessly clean room, friendly and efficient staff and an excellent meal in the restaurant. Far better experience than the large, impersonal ‘on airport’ hotel alternatives. Will definitely use again.

Loved my stay for one night before a flight! It was so perfect - the room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was wonderful, and the staff was very friendly. Will for sure be coming back!

This is a truly charming and welcoming place. We arrived in the very early hours, almost at dawn, having flown in to Gatwick on a slightly delayed flight. Booked in advance and having contacted the owner they arranged everything perfectly for us, including adding an extra bed which was made up in advance and looked very cosy. The room was spotless, with a Mediterranean feel combined with an olde English coaching inn. Very comfortable beds, soft linens and gentle fragrances. It must be a very popular place, judging by number of tables arranged in the pretty and well maintained gardens, and no wonder. Breakfast was served in a charming series of interesting old rooms and I noticed that each group of guests were seated in privacy, despite the extra work that that meant for staff, ensuring that everyone was well attended and comfortable. Really felt welcomed and refreshed. The weather also played a part, with sunshine and a gentle breeze bringing us the smell of thyme and sage as we walked back through the garden. The extra work involved in keeping small table-pots of herbs alive in summer shows their attention to detail. My only regret is not having arrived earlier or stayed longer so that I could try out the freestanding bath, which looked extremely inviting in our bathroom. Only a short drive from the airport it is a lovely welcome to England, and at least while we were there, not directly under any flight paths, just trees, butterflies and birdsong. Thank you!

Worst stay I have experienced this year. Located by a very busy road, no ear plugs provided which meant I got very little sleep. No wifi signal in the room. Room was dirty and needs a total refurb. No water pressure in the bath/shower Broken toilet seat Breakfast is only from 8AM which is unusual for a hotel located near the airport. Chef had not arrived so I left and no refund was offered. At £170 per night there are much much better options in the area. Horrible experience

The staff were very friendly and the property was very clean, the food was excellent, we had to leave before breakfast so the chef packed an awesome continental breakfast for us. 5 stars

Nice place, good breakfast but the bathroom had a bath and a shower head that needs to be held. The shower water pressure was non existent and was inadequate.

Amazing place to stay with history and cozy English cottage ambiance. Great friendly staff, beautiful linens in rooms, not huge so never overrun, in a quiet area about 12 min taxi from Gatwick airport. Absolutely wonderful food options and portions. Can’t stress these awesome things enough! Wish I could stay there!

Need a good place close to Gatwick Airport? This traditional pub-hotel was terrific, with some notable caveats. Although our reservation was made months in advance, we somehow got stuck with a an adjoining building attic room (no alternative was available), up a steep flight of steps, not ideal for the elderly. Luckily, the weather was not excessively hot; a fan was not provided. Although the room was small, it was modern and comfortable, with plush carpeting and a king-size bed. A large LED TV was mounted on a side wall, making bedside viewing awkward. The large walk-in rain shower was nice, but the controls were a bit enigmatic. Unlike many English lodgings, various and convenient USB charging was available. We enjoyed the cozy ambiance of the pub, a few beers and a local English cheese plate. The staff were cheerful, friendly and inviting.

room was cold due to a faulty radiator (too small for an outdoor room)), was moved to a warmer room thankfully

The hotel is really nice my room by the outside garden may get noise from the garden on busy evenings. My room also had a perpetual dripping in the wall which was known but no solution to resolve this was quite noisy and disturbing my sleep. The morning staff Polly in particular was encouraging and welcoming I hope to return but not to the outside room because the morning duo were fantastic

Had a fantastic stay here prior to an early flight. Lovely welcome and we ate in the pub which was delicious-highly recommend and the service was excellent too. We needed to leave too early for breakfast and the team were kind enough to put a little continental pack together for us. Will absolutely stay again in future

Helpful staff. Very comfortable room with lovely quality items such as pillow spray, ground coffee and toiletries in bathroom. We arrived too late for food but were treated to some lovely cheese, chutney and crackers

Guy that checked me in was nice and accommodating

The Old House Inn is a lovely little hotel with delicious meals and friendly staff. It is close to the Gatwick airport (10-15 minutes drive) with a lot more English charm than larger hotels at the airport. The property is beautiful but it is worth noting that the surrounding area is really only accessible by car/not walkable as there were no sidewalks or foot paths. We didn’t have a car but it was the perfect place to relax before a big flight.

delicious restaurant. Only stay led 1 night due to a layover overnight at Gatwick, was perrct location to get back and forth from the airport while enjoying a relaxing night

Great room, had pie for my evening meal n it was the best I have ever had, chef Rod, makes on site. Nice drinks n sound breakfast but served from 8.
