This hostel is part of HI Canada, a not-for-profit organization on a mission to build a community of conscious travellers who share a greater understanding of people, places and cultures. YOUR STAY • Check in: 4:00 PM • Check out: 11:00 AM • A valid, government issued photo ID for every guest must be presented at check-in. • As an accommodation property for travellers, this hostel does not accommodate local residents from Halifax. • HI Halifax has a maximum length of stay of 14 days. Should you wish to stay longer than 14 days, you may request this with hostel management. Approval of extension requests are at the sole discretion of the hostel manager. • When booking is in a shared room, HI Canada will make every effort to put people in the same room, however, this cannot be guaranteed. RATES, PAYMENT and CANCELLATIONS • HI / YHA discounts are not available to members as part of this booking. • Prices quoted do not include applicable taxes. • Special policies apply for group stays of 10 or more people and different terms and conditions will apply. Please contact groups.res@hihostels.ca for further information. • Cancel by 11:59 PM three days before arrival to avoid penalty. • In case of guest no show, the hostel will cancel the entire reservation. It is up to the guest to contact the hostel in advance to modify length of stay before scheduled check-in. • Hostelworld deposits are split equally over the course of booked overnights. Any reduction of stay will result in a forfeit of the deposit credit. CHILDREN 17 and under • HI Canada does not accommodate guests under the age of 18 if travelling without a parent or legal guardian. • The individual(s) making a hostel reservation and the primary contact for the reservation must be at least 18 years of age. • For the safety and security of our guests, children aged 12 and under can only stay in private rooms or privatized dorms and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Children aged 13 to 17 can stay in shared accommodation when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Failure to adhere to these age policies will result in an automatic cancellation of your booking. COMMUNICABLE DISEASES POLICY • To prioritize the safety of our guests, accommodation of individuals exhibiting symptoms of a communicable illness will be governed by local laws and may not be allowable in shared rooms. • HI Canada is unable to accommodate travellers who need to isolate due to any government-issued quarantine requirements.
