Our second stay at the Tally Ho and again were not disappointed. The grounds are immaculate as well as our cabin The Beaches. Our dogs love the large leash free park. The employees are all super freindly and accommodating. Thank you Tally Ho we will see you you again in October.

Went to celebrate my mom birthday the property is aweome with great views and all They have so many games to choose from , we played badminton and tennis. They communicated well in advance of all the things. Overall great stay and amazing experience.

Older, well used but clean and functional buildings. Lovely beach. Fireplace and bbq options are great. My only comment not of praise was the lack of parking which was not a problem in March but could be during busy times. I have difficulty walking and carrying items so a close parking spot is of importance. Otherwise, it was so quiet, peaceful and the bed comfortable. I'd come back. Chris

Our room was extremely dirty. Dog hair everywhere. It smelled of bleach when we walked in but looked like nothing was vacuumed. Under the bed there were clumps of animal fur. The couch was also covered in dog hair and smelt very bad. I understand goose feces are a part of nature but it looked like the sand area where kids played was not taken care of at all. Would not stay here again for the cost.

They stay was comfortable but I did not find the place clean. We found pet hair on all beddings. The place had a very weird smell when we first entered and we wished we had brought some candles or deodorizer with us. The shower was very difficult to turn on and figure out the hot water. There were only 2 mugs and 5 plates provided ! If I had know this I would have brought my own cutlery. We went to dollar store to get paper plates so we can enjoy meals at the cottage. The beds were comfortable which was good and that why I am give the 3 stars. We felt safe in the area and all amenities were close by. I would not return unless the cleanliness situation is improved. There was a note on the wall which stated that if the towel would have make up or dirt we will be charged. How can we use towels without making them dirty???

While the building itself is a little dated from the outside, the room was very clean, bright and spacious. I prefer firmer beds/pillows so it was a little too soft for me, but this doesn't apply for everyone obviously. The lake is beautiful - highly recommend waking up for sunrise!

Very clean and well maintained cottages. My wife and I have stayed here several times. Located right on a beautiful lake, very near Arrowhead, Ragged Falls and Algonquin Provincial Parks. Great food and shopping options 10 minutes away in downtown Huntsville. The only "complaint" I have is that checkout is at 10 a.m., I'd love to sleep an extra hour, lol. We'll be back!

Love the cleanliness of this place. For a place that's been around for a little while it smells fresh and clean. Well organized and tidy rooms You can adjust the heat in the room and washroom separately, which is great in the winter. Beautiful location, Arrowhead and Algonquin Provincial Parks are close by...loved our stay!

Poorly maintained cottage. Very dirty inside. Bad smell. Holes in the screens, cracked window, goose droppings all over the property. No chairs on the beach, only one outside the cottage. Terribly expensive for what it is.

It was pretty good. Easy instructing to follow to access cabin. It was Spacious. And Open. Pretty clean except when I loved a chair and dust and hair behind it. I really liked the wood burning fireplace. Loved the view of water. Liked giant tub. Checkout should be early afternoon for numerous reasons. Felt rushed and cleaners staring at me not friendly.

The property is okay, but because it is dated the common walls between the units probably didn't have sound insulation. So when you get a noisy neighbor barbequing at 10pm and having beers, you hear every single sound.

Second time staying here (we went last winter as well). This cabin was nicer than the previous one (which was also nice as well). The cottage / cabin is rustic but very clean and comfortable. Very large windows that let in a lot of light. They had a Roku for the TV so we were able to watch Netflix, Disney and Prime movies at night. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows, which isn’t often the case in most hotels / resorts. They are pet friendly as well, which is a huge plus. We did some hiking nearby in Algonquin Park and had dinner in Huntsville, both of which are nearby. I’m sure it’s lovely in the summer, but if you’re looking for a nice, quiet and comfortable get away in the winter be sure to check it out.

The beds were comfortable. Great view of the lake. Nice to have a separate bedroom. The galley kitchen was also good to have although more cupboard or shelf space would make it better.

The surroundings were excellent. However, I'd like to point out two things - The beds were uncomfortable. The spring mattresses were hard to sleep on and had worn off. It is highly suggested to get new and better mattresses. - The entertainment options were limited. It would be great to have a smart TV where users could sign in with their own Netflix/Youtube/Prime accounts.

Tv didn’t work and Maintenance Man didn’t fix because it turned 5:00 and had to go home. Floor is dirty. Furniture dated. No cutlery or plates.

Booked the Echo cottage at Tally Ho and was really impressed. Clean and spacious. Wood burning fireplace was an added bonus. Parking on site, right beside cottage. Beautiful property, unfortunately it rained all weekend but we made the most of it inside playing board games by the fire. Dinner at restaurant across the street was delicious! Muskoka on the rocks. Very good stay at a great price! Thank you!

We thought tally ho was lovely! Our family was in 4 different cabins and enjoyed the canoes and lake swimming. We enjoyed having a food truck right there, but it’s quite pricey Not much to do for kids unless they love swimming. There was a swing set and you could swim out to a little dock. My recommendation is to bring your own outside games. It was perfect for my family as the swam all weekend in the lake.

The inside of the cabin was lovely and the beds were very comfortable. I think the outside of the cabins need a facelift though. Would suggest putting railings on the steps to the cabins, and grab bars in the tubs. Reception very friendly and helpful. Food truck awesome.

Great location. Cooking equipment needed to be updated. They are making a concerted effort to upgrade all the units and are well on the way to doing that. Proximity to Peninsula lake. Local walking trails were wonderful. Near to Huntsville for shopping and Erica’s at Dwight for coffee and treats.

The cabin was very basic but has everything you need if you plan to eat most meals out. The chairs and picnic table on the open grassy area with a view of the lake are nice but wish there were more than 2 chairs for a cabin that holds 4. There are no laundry facilities on site which would be handy. You do hear the traffic noise when sitting out front of the cabin. But still good value for the price.
