The restaurant was great, great service and convenient. I like the area in the lobby set up like a lodge to hang out in. Room was good, had everything you need. One suggestion some glasses/cups in the rooms would be great.

For the price point, you can't really beat it. It is clean, bed is comfortable. There is ample parking at the front and opposite side od street. Parking does get crowded as the lodge is attached to a pub that runs in the early evenings. That being said, this is a bare bones as it gets. The fact it does not even have a chair in the room is a first for me. I ended up calling after hours of restaurant to borrow a chair from the dining room. There is a electric fireplace and an external air conditioning in the room. I found out there may be select tea bags and keuriq in the common area you can use. Port Sydney beach is at the end of the street while port Sydney falls is about a 10 min drive away. Location is about 13 min from huntsville by car. 2 local stops and a breakfast place down the road.

The room was clean and comfortable. We obly saw one member of staff in two days and that was at check-in. The garbage was overflowing in the parking lot and some of the outdoor seating was dirty and ripped. There was no firewood available as described in the details and nobody around to ask. The person who checked us in said there was a number to call but nobody picked up. We saw other guests calling without success when they were checking out. There were random boxes and cleaning materials at the entrance and front desk which gave the impressiin that the place was closed. Breakfast was not as shown on the photos, no fruit, no eggs, no replenishing happening. However, the bed was very comfy and clean. We just gelt it was overpriced for the facilities available

Lucky find! The fire pit area & lounge chairs right outside at entrance were just perfect. Everything was good. Friendly staff…Gautam at the front desk and Shawn at Lotsa Wings,(the attached restaurant) were extremely helpful and courteous. Best part lake was within walkable distance. I had a great time staying here. Would definitely visit again!

Hidden gem near Huntsville. Under new management. Rooms looked newly furnished with new linens and towels. Having an attached restaurant is a plus. The wings we ordered were yummy. Small beach and boat launch minutes away is a bonus.

The room was clean and had a super comfortable bed. The facility included a common room, bar and restaurant. The outdoors had a bbq picnic area and a fire pit area. The owner of this establishment is an outstanding guy that went above and beyond to help us and tend to our needs. Our only suggestion would be to have a coffee machine in the room and /or a vending machine in common room. Location is mint-just steps away from the beach and boat launch. We will return and we do recommend.

The pictures of this property are very deceiving. It is not located on the lake at all. We booked 3 rooms and they were very dirty. There were cockroaches in one of them along with dirty sheets with blood and hair. The shower still had a used bar of soap. The toilet had not been cleaned which featured a bowel problem of the previous guest. It was a complete let down as we were really looking forward to our stay and competing in the Muskoka Iron Man. On a positive note, the dinner in the restaurant was good along with very nice serving staff.

Room wasn’t the cleanest - found long black hairs in the bathroom and on the carpeting. Shampoo bottles were half full/used. Dusty baseboards and yellow droplets on the vent beside the toilet which I’m hoping wasn’t pee. Hotel says breakfast included but it’s actually just a bag of bread and a toaster with a coffee machine. Property was quite rundown, some junk sitting around outside around the property so not the most welcoming. It was fine for what we needed but wouldn’t stay here if there was nicer accommodation close by.

It was an extremely hot day and they didn’t have the air on. It was a very long day driving and it would have been nice to step into a cool room. The corners of the room had spiderwebs, the toilet paper was thinner than tissue paper and there was quite a bit of garbage on the ground spilling out of the outdoor garbage bins. The cutest part was the poodle that greeted me. Just not an overall clean feel. I would not go back.

When you walk in the door all you can smell is dampness and mold. The stairs leading up to the rooms look like they havent been vacuumed in months. Toilet only flused when it wanted too, some lights didnt work, wifi hardly worked. Our patio looked out into the woods and there was garbage everywhere. My husband forgot his glasses. Been trying to call and arrange for them to be sent through Purolator. 15+ phone calls and several voice-mails left and nobody will answer or return voice-mails. We travel quite often and after this, we would not recommend it.

My wife and I booked a room at the 3 pines lodge for 5 nights, we ended up only staying 3 nights because of all the issues, and no we did not get offered a refund. First off, there was no door latch, so staff or lack their of, have uninhibited access to the rooms. Secondly this place was poorly maintained, with dirty walls, extension cords instead of outlets by the bed, trash piled up in stairwell, and outside. The lamp cord was also frayed with live wires exposed beside the bed. The portable AC unit in the room was never cleaned to the point it overheated and melted the plastic on the side of the unit, and the room in general looked so dirty we went out and got sanitary wipes and cleaned it ourselves. Lastly, staff is almost always not available, with no one by the front desk and once staff was finally found and we requested more towels due to the shower leaking water on the floor no towels were brought to the room. Overall I would not recommend anyone stay here, anyone walking or kids running through the hall is incredibly loud in the room and they give out free icecream for 5 stare reviews skewing their rating.

The room did not match the photos. The room had very few electrical outlets. There was an orange extension cord used. Bathroom was tiny. The balcony looked like it was going to collapse. No breakfast or even coffee. No one at front desk.

This spot worked great for the weekend. It was close to where we needed to be and close to the water. Downfall was it was loud due to not having thick unit doors for sound control.

Easy to book through Expedia and the price was great (less than $100). Arrived at 6:30pm. No one at reception desk. Numbers provided to call/ text for assistance. Texted number and got no response. Went to adjoining restaurant and had the server check me in. She was pleasant enough but couldn’t answer when breakfast would be. Breakfast was supposed to be included. Room was very basic. Broken screen door onto small deck. Deck and chairs were dirty. Washroom floor was not clean. Barely any soap in soap dispenser. No in-room coffee/ tea. Bed was comfortable, TV worked well. Wifi didn’t work for the first 2 hours I was there. I went down at 730am for breakfast. No one in sight. One bagel available. Some bread. Milk, creamers and tea bags out on counter but no Keurig cups or kettle. I didn’t like that travellers check-in information was right on the desk for anyone to see. This place used to be quite nice to stay at but had really gone downhill. They really need to focus on having someone available for questions. And at the very least be far more responsive to travellers questions. It is listed as a luxury lodge but that is so far from the case. Port Sydney is a lovely town and deserves a much better place for travellers to stay.

Were told check-in was 4-8 pm. Were at a family function, called let lodge know arrival may be after 8. Were told someone would be at the desk until 9. We arrived about 5 past 9. My wife and I booked a room at the 3 pines lodge for 5 nights, we ended up only staying 3 nights because of all the issues, and no we did not get offered a refund. First off, there was no door latch, so staff or lack their of, have uninhibited access to the rooms. Secondly this place was poorly maintained, with dirty walls, extension cords instead of outlets by the bed, trash piled up in stairwell, and outside. The lamp cord was also frayed with live wires exposed beside the bed. The portable AC unit in the room was never cleaned to the point it overheated and melted the plastic on the side of the unit, and the room in general looked so dirty we went out and got sanitary wipes and cleaned it ourselves. Lastly, staff is almost always not available, with no one by the front desk and once staff was finally found and we requested more towels due to the shower leaking water on the floor no towels were brought to the room. Overall I would not recommend anyone stay here, anyone walking or kids running through the hall is incredibly loud in the room and they give out free icecream for 5 stare reviews skewing their rating.

For the price point, you can't really beat it. It is clean, bed is comfortable. There is ample parking at the front and opposite side od street. Parking does get crowded as the lodge is attached to a pub that runs in the early evenings. That being said, this is a bare bones as it gets. The fact it does not even have a chair in the room is a first for me. I ended up calling after hours of restaurant to borrow a chair from the dining room. There is a electric fireplace and an external air conditioning in the room. I found out there may be select tea bags and keuriq in the common area you can use. Port Sydney beach is at the end of the street while port Sydney falls is about a 10 min drive away. Location is about 13 min from huntsville by car. 2 local stops and a breakfast place down the road.

Hidden gem near Huntsville. Under new management. Rooms looked newly furnished with new linens and towels. Having an attached restaurant is a plus. The wings we ordered were yummy. Small beach and boat launch minutes away is a bonus.

The room was clean and had a super comfortable bed. The facility included a common room, bar and restaurant. The outdoors had a bbq picnic area and a fire pit area. The owner of this establishment is an outstanding guy that went above and beyond to help us and tend to our needs. Our only suggestion would be to have a coffee machine in the room and /or a vending machine in common room. Location is mint-just steps away from the beach and boat launch. We will return and we do recommend.

This is near an event we attend yearly. Great location. I would stay again. It would have been nice if the continental breakfast had some healthy options like whole grain bread or higher fiber cereal rather than sugar and white bread.

We were a bit skeptical with some of the previous reviews but were quickly content. We liked the small, quaint feel of the lodge, the sitting area was fantastic. Room was simple and we like that. Portable AC great. Bed comfortable. If you’re a fussy traveller you should go to a fancy Delta. If you are easy going, enjoy a rustic but so friendly atmosphere, this is good! Ate at the on site restaurant and it was amazing! Well done 3 Pines we will be back. You’re doing a great job!

The 3 Pines Lodge was a pleasant surprise. Our room was spacious. Everything was tidy and clean. The staff were friendly. The on site restaurant served delicious Wings at very reasonable prices. We had no complaints. Note, we're not talking about the Four Seasons here, just a great place to stay in the country.

The website advertised the lodge as a bed and breakfast but they no longer provide breakfast or even coffee. They also claimed a fine dining experience with local and international cuisine but it was pub food such as burgers and wings. Very disappointing .The website should be changed. It is false advertising. Also our outside patio area was in bad shape . There were also several dirty dog poop bags left there even after I complained.

Located close to the waterfront of beautiful Mary Lake, and just off of the major highway, 3 Pines Lodge is central to the beautiful towns and amenities of Muskoka. Huntsville and Bracebridge are 20 minutes away, which offer activities, shopping and great food. We didn't pay much, and expected a clean bed, and spent most of our time out of the hotel, which was a good thing. The facility is in disrepair, with holes in walls and ceilings in the hallways, general untidiness evident around the entrance and common spaces, and generally unkempt. These are not so much budget concerns as raising questions about where the staff spend their time. A little bit of attention would go a long way to improve the experience. One area of concern is the porch on the building, that our room was attached to, is rotted through in several places, and has not had the leaves and pine needles cleaned up, which will add to the deteriorating condition. Through no fault of the hotel staff, we were smoked out of our first room by people smoking marijuana outside the adjacent room. The air conditioner pulled the smoke into the room and made it uninhabitable. The staff didn't ask any questions, just gave us keys to another room. We learned, then, to turn the air conditioner off at times to avoid smoking us out. Altogether, we got what we paid for, and spent the majority of our time out of the room (we kept the ac off while out)
