Convenient location to Duval and beach. Pool is under construction. Staff is very friendly and room was nicely updated.

It is an excellent location walking to the exciting places. They should have a clear guidelines for free parking place, otherwise you have a risk to get penalty for illegal parking and tow truck fee. I paid USD55 ticket and USD250 tow tuck fee.

Great location. Walking distance to Duval street. plenty of parking in a clean neighborhood. Bike rentals on property if you don’t have a car. My 22 yr old daughter and I stayed in the Women’s only dorm. our room had two bunk beds , half bath and full bath. Each bunk had privacy curtains, mini fan, mini lamp, and outlet. Lockers available in courtyard but must bring your own lock. Laundry machines on site, kitchen area and refrigerate. Laid back, no frills but clean and comfortable. Would stay there again. Easy check-in and check out. no issues.

The pool is a construction site so it feels like staying at a construction site, as it is it very close to your doors. It will be nice when finished but right now it is comically ugly they should give a discount for the state of the motel right now. The rooms were nice and very clean though.

Courtyard and outside kitchen were great. Walking distance to Duval Street.

Warm and welcoming reception! We were upgraded to a larger room. The room was so comfortable, very clean (which was nice after a dirty hotel room stay in Miami), great open area to sit outside. Will return!! Thanks for the great stay. Loved having a tv to watch the Stanley cup final. We used the outdoor kitchen to make breakfast.

Adequate stay, parking was not always guaranteed

Stay was just fine. We got a clean room and straight forward and simple. Nothing fancy. What sucked was the pool was under construction and that was one of the reasons we also chose the motel so we felt from an advertising standpoint we should have been informed about that so as to not corner us into a position of paying for something advertised and having it not available. Felt swindled. Besides that, would recommend.

This is the cheapest place to stay in expensive Key West. It is located not far from the southern most point and has good, free parking. That said it is rather charmless, although it has a nice courtyard for picnics, relaxing, etc.

Looks to be recently remodeled, very nice bathroom, clean cozy room with bike rental right outside and near the water and shops.

This place exceeded our expectations in every way. We had room 20 upstairs and it looked brand new. Everything was so clean.

Had a quick overnight stay at Seashell before catching the ferry to Dry Tortugas. Both members of staff were very helpful, the room was comfy and clean, and the amenities (kitchen and parking) very much appreciated

Rooms are small and dated but functional. Windows let draft in and workers start working on building early so don’t expect to sleep late. But convenient location, priced high but still in Key West it’s one of the lower rates. Enjoyed our stay here. Loved the chickens… bring a couple pieces of bread for them.

We got one of the more recently updated rooms, which was perfect for what we needed! Everything was really good for the price, however, the seals on the doors/windows are non-existent. expect to hear everything outside from a sneeze to a car driving by. also they are currently under construction which was not advertised anywhere but the fine print on hotels.com so no pool as advertised :/

Thin walls can hear the people talking up all night and the AC unit is loud keeps you up also at night. beds were comfortable, shower was good but tiny.

This was an expensive stay, but Key West is crazy expensive for everything. The place is an old style motel with refreshed interiors done really well, except the windows are slat type that don’t close fully or block out any noise at all, also the door does not fit properly, I could see the outside light over the top of the door and daylight underneath. If the door was replaced with a proper fitting one and internal double glazing fitted, if they cannot replace outside, it would help a lot. The outside noise was the same as if we were in a tent. The Cockerels start at day break and sound like they are in the room. The parking outside the room was a bonus and the location to Duval street was a simple walk away. Good but could be so much better.

The Internet was very bad. Wi-Fi router does not give a full signal. The mobile internet didn't work either. Guys, work with your internet. It needs to be improved. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Everything is good only the Internet is very bad.

The pics for the hotel definitely didn't reflect it truly. My room was lovely, large, lots of storage etc, but zero soundproofing, so when people were talking outside, it sounded like they were in the room. But the cleanliness was brilliant Sadly, my friends were in a different room, which we had requested near the car park for mobility reasons. Initially it looked lovely, but the fold down seat in the shower for a mobility aid was loose, causing my friend to slip off it, onto the shower floor. They also had problems with the noise levels, not entirely the hotels fault, but again, lack of soundproofing meant a sleepless night, as some other people, presumably guests, were outside at 4am having a big argument, they were asked to please be quiet, but just ignored my friend and carried on arguing, finally they went inside at 5am, promptly to turn the TV on full volume, which was so loud my friends may as well have been sharing that room with their neighbours. They are clearly in the process of renovating, with a half built poor and heaps of rubble on one side of the hotel. Overall, not the best experience, cleanliness great, rooms size wise not bad, but the damaged disability seat in the shower and the lack of any form of soundproofing ruined it. The reception guy who was on duty when we arrived was very helpful though, just a shame about the other stuff.

You get what you get. The room we was in was really noisy and the door to the outside disnt seem to close all the way. Felt like i was camping.

Our room had three double beds and the suite was huge, clean, with three giant closets (not enough hangers)--one drawback to having a suite--it was devoid of a couch or lounge chair and requires a full length mirror--we removed a mirror from the kitchen to be of use. We chose not to engage room service, and a note pad to request an extra towel would be handy. We had one of those terrible coffee makers in the room (I would advise everyone not to drink the terrible coffee that is created by those contraptions)! Every hotel that offers that awful coffee service should just get rid of those little cheap machines and coffee pods that look like tea bags and offer a 4$ coupon for the local coffee shop or have a decent coffeemaker in the lobby--such a waste of plastic, supplies, and time. Construction was in process and was a bit of a drag as in pictures the hotel had central courtyard with a lush patio and tables/chairs to relax--instead was a huge pit with orange plastic construction fencing--what a surprise! Location was excellent--we were just a 5 minute walk from the Southernmost area--Sandy's has a food truck (the best Cuban sandwiches and cuban coffee--get it iced)! The island is so small that we could walk from our hotel to the pier straight across the island in about 30 minutes--it's really the best way to enjoy the beauty of the local architecture and flora. Not sure if we saved much money by staying here--it certainly is not "hostel" pricing, but not bad.

The staff was great with my girlfriend and I. We slept well and were within walking distance of cool parts of town. Thanks again from Henry!

The staff aren't the friendliest. I noticed that in the dorm bed when someone left, the staff didn't always change the sheets.

The room was clean and the location was great. But no where where we informed it wa major construction and we wouldn’t be able to talk to each other or on the phone at all. Woken up by men right outside my door. I asked that 1 of my 2 night be comped considering we had to move rooms and was told to park in the company space( then had to move ) .it was o inconvenient moving everything. They didn’t care; offered no discount or anything.

However, if you’re looking for a resort with a restaurant and pool, this isn’t the place. Worked out perfectly for what me and my two sons needed. Thank you Seashell!

The hosts were awesome and very responsive. The office is open 24/7 if you ever need anything. I borrowed their sunscreen a few times, nice folks.

My stay at the Seashell was so good I stayed another week. The staff are extremely helpful, the location is perfect for the beach & entertainment district. It's a very cost effective way to stay in this area bearing in mind its location.

The people working at the property were very nice and helpful. Peter was very knowledgeable about the area.

This was my second time staying here over the last 2 years. The staff, location and accommodations are excellent. This is probably the most affordable lodging you will find on the island. The rooms have been recently upgraded and they were very clean and comfortable. I love the location and you can walk everywhere. No need to drive anywhere when you get here. Strongly recommend staying here!

Great place to stay. The location is very convenient for Key West. Parking was easy both in the lot and on the street nearby when the lot was full. The hotel and area felt very safe and we walked almost everywhere. Checkin was very easy and everyone was really nice!

My room was a king room. Just enough space for 2 people. Big bathroom with great water pressure in the shower but only a trickle from the sink. There's no pool like shown on Google. It's a couple blocks from Duval st. That's where the fun takes place. $8 ubers anywhere on duval but you could easly walk. Beach access only a 3min walk and the southern most point is about a 5min walk.

Perfect location close to the most southern point attraction. Higgs beach is not too far. Easy check in and check out. Love that each bunk has curtains for privacy, personal reading light and charging station. Toiletries provided. Daily housekeeping. Property is usually quiet. Few restaurants walking distance.

Efficient staff. Clean rooms, albeit very small for a 2-person (but it’s a hostel, so you shouldn’t expect spacious). Bike rental onsite. You’ll need to request housekeeping but they do a great job of cleaning the room. At the time of our visit the pool was excavated (presumably to build a new one) but this did not affect us. Overall a good value for what is generally a pricey market for accommodations.

silence and inconspicuous appearance of the facility. The city's attractions and shopping are reachable in 10 to 15 minutes on foot. The beach is only 5 minutes away! :)

This motel was a super cute place to stay with very nice staff and a good walking distance from the main strip of Duvall. There's a little community kitchen if you need it for anything and overall it was an awesome stay!

Nice courtyard area to have your meal take out meal on. Rooms are rather basic and basically just a place to sleep.

The courtyard area provided a great spot to relax or meet others. We met a great couple from Canada as well as another Key West resident! Walkable to the beach and other shopping spots like Ana's Cafe where we bought our cafe con leche everyday. The cleaning staff was great, very nice and clean rooms especially the bathroom. Nice to have a small fridge in the room as well as a cooking area outside. Lastly, surprisingly comfortable beds and pillows. Would definately stay here again and recommend to others.
