very happy with my stay at the hotel. the location is great, near the MRT and lots of dining options. the staff are friendly and helpful and accommodative. the hotel has a swimming pool and gym which i greatly appreciate. the room is comfortable and spacious and clean. my only complaint is that the "do not disturb" and "make up my room" buttons were a bit confusing to use, and one on the buttons wasnt functional.

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of a three week holiday in Malaysia and Vietnam and chose this hotel due to its location, swimming pool and price. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was small but that’s standard for Singapore, and the space was used effectively. A couple of coat hooks would have made better use of one of the walls. The bed was comfortable and the shower powerful with plenty of hot water. The location was superb. The MRT Outram Park station is accessible from the hotel lobby. This makes getting around really easy. The rooftop swimming pool is very pleasant although the sunbeds are a little worse for wear. It’s great for a quick swim to cool down in the afternoon. It would be nice to be able to get a drink by the pool but unfortunately this is not allowed. I think this is a great hotel for a couple of nights but if I was staying longer I think I’d choose somewhere else just because I’d like to spend time relaxing by a pool with a cocktail and something to eat. Apart from that, I can’t really fault the hotel. It was perfect for our needs.

Like: convenient, connected to the train station directly with lots of interesting cafes/ restaurants nearby. Dislike: very dated and old from furnishing to the curtain etc, poor soundproofing, strong smell of thinner from their level 3, felt like vomiting and giddy after smelling that for 1 min after we exited the lift in search of the gym/pool. Tried calling the reception / operator multiple times at 10-11am but no one pick up. Not sure if this can be called a 4 star hotel.

I enjoyed my stay here, great location and bonus of having a pool. I also ate in the restaurant which food was enjoyable. Would recommend this hotel, was also given early checkin which was appreciated.

Bar was pricey, and for those prices should provide menus. Bar staff just hanging around .- Nice pool for laps and leisure

Hotel needs some updates in the rooms and with regards to the pool area. Bar was always closed and breakfast wasn’t great. Location is great for mtr which is great to travel around Singapore.

It’s well located at a MRT station on multiple lines. Close to Chinatown for food etc. The rooms are older and small and things like the buttons to make up the room weren’t working. The pool is outdoors and has a great view and the water is lovely. It’s long enough to do laps.

Room little small, not enough space for bigger luggage, can't used out door swimming pool ,water too warm for swim. everything else nice , staff friendly, good location.

房間設施不方便，熱水煲不是跟雪櫃、瓦杯和咖啡粉放一起，而且水煲位置是沒插頭煲水，要在床頭旁煲水，第一次這樣危險。 洗手間沒有抹臉毛巾，廁紙架在廁盤右後方向，如坐下用廁，根本不能轉身取廁紙用。 房間內衛生有問題，床單有黑印，躺下有被東西咬。洗手盤下面的架位用廁紙抹一下是有灰塵。 我們已隔了兩天才叫房間清潔，晚上回來後竟看到放地下的毛巾放在我們行李範上面的位置，枕頭仍滿是頭髮都沒有處理。 整間酒店只有一優點就是近地鐵站。但這衛生也不值得住宿。

Mouldy ceilings, peeling wallpaper, small rooms. tired old hotel

Location is great and staff very good. However, rooms are now tired with wallpaper coming off and very worn carpets. My room had not been vacuumed properly.

Towels were old, stained, tattered. One had a large hole in it. Housekeeping never did a good clean and make up of the room. Rooms are tired and worn out, yet this is a fairly new hotel. For the price, very disaapointing. Will not stay here again

The nicest thing about this hotel is the leather case that holds the remote control. The mini fridge in our room leaked, so the carpet was wet, damp and smelt of mould. We told reception staff that water was leaking from under the fridge, they did nothing. Check in staff were cold, unwelcoming and unfriendly. We loved the Dorsett brand because of our stay in Mongkok (Hong Kong) but this hotel made us wish we stayed at an Ibis.

Great location, staff are very friendly and helpful too but the hotel facility conditions need improvement - TV remote doesn't work, stains in the shower area, bedside tables feel sticky, towels don't look clean - a more thorough cleaning and maintenance overall will help massively.

Wanted to give myself a break so booked a room to relax over the weekend. I remember my stay in Dorsett HK and it was fine. I checked in and got an upgrade and was initially quite pleased. The room was neat and clean. The staff were friendly. However, the conditions of the room were very disappointing! WiFi - Going on and off Bathtub - There’s a bathtub but the tap attached has got no hot water Toilet seat - Cannot stay open and it felt like you need to ‘carry’ something when you sit down Toilet pump - Not strong. (And this is Singapore) Aircon - Need 2-3 hours to be cool Towel - Old and tattered. Although no weird smell, but the condition is bad Bed/Pillow - Not in good condition All in all, it’s definitely NOT WORTH THE PRICE! This hotel is only 10 years old and there’re older hotels with better conditions that I’ve stayed. What happened? I thought they just had a makeover?? Everything showed that it’s under maintenance! I felt like I’ve been ‘transported’ to some small rundown town in a 3rd world country! And this is Singapore! For a fact, I can find a boutique/budget hotel with better conditions and pay lesser. This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, I think the status needs to be re-evaluated. It absolutely feels more like a 3-star! Also, the breakfast itself cost SGD49! If you look at the cafe, you’ll not pay for it. The upgraded room I had cost over SGD320. Like I said, one can easily find a better option with this price.

The condition of the bed mattress springs was extremely poor, and I experienced back pain throughout my stay because of it. The blankets and pillowcases were yellowed and looked nothing like the photos shown on Hotels.com, which was really disappointing. Honestly, I wanted to move to another hotel, but due to my schedule and limited time, I couldn’t. Overall, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

stay in Dorsett, near Chinatown. Location is good, close to subway station. The room.....the TV , the telephone were not working. Housekeeping is fair and slow. Bad design in bath room, taking a shower .....the floor will be wet. Good front desk people...they are friendly.

Great location with easy access to the transit system. The hotel room was tired and we got an “upgrade” to a room with a balcony. Do not do this! Smaller room and it is far too hot/humid to need a balcony. Mostly we liked the location.

Rooms were extremely small, bathroom had no Mirror and needed to slide the door across. Lighting was terrible and overall wasn’t like the images in the pictures

Great location. Just next to MRT station and walking distance to Chinatown. Easy commute to most attractions. There are everything you need provided in the room no matter it's small and old.

Hotel room was too small, poorly maintained and old. AC does not work well. Pillows uncomfortable. Maintenance and housekeeping was average. Staff slow, cold and mechanical with no flexibility or customer orientation. Location is convenient, but the price is much with only this singular advantage.

The security there are rude n not friendly at all I was sitting at lobby after shopping around 11pm The security came out and ask me an I staying at this property at Dorsett and I said yes and He said I’m not allowed to sit at lobby after midnight, I thought that was Singapore law, after midnight I’m not allowed to sit at the lobby. Next day I went to the front desk and ask, the front desk people said you can sit as long as want and I went file a complaint about the security. I will never stay at this Dorsett hotel again. You don’t feel welcome there

Great property with perfect location for food, sightseeing, transportation, near China Town Market and food court. The staff at this hotel were phenomenal! They assisted us throughout our stay with directions, baggage, reservations, sightseeing and any and all other questions or assistance needs that arose during our stay! I would definitely recommend this property and we will stay here again. Thank you

The location is great if you are taking the metro to hit tourist locations. It's about 5-10 minutes walk to Chinatown, 10-15 minutes walk to Maxwell Centre and sits right on top of Outram station which has 3 different lines (including an airport one).

Very pleasant mid range hotel on the edge of Chinatown. Walkable to all major parts of Chinatown, food markets, etc. Room was very comfortable and well appointed. Overall I had no complaints - staff were helpful and efficient.

Such a great location and a right in the heart of the action around China Town. However, still incredibly quiet.

Next door to MRT station made getting around a breeze!

Die Lage des Hotels ist super. Nur 2 Gehminuten von der Metro entfernt, mit der man gut durch die Stadt kommt. Auch die Zimmer waren super, wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is next to the subway station that would take us to all the major tourist spots within minutes

While some things could be improved eg better quality towels, hairdryer & iron worked but we’re old & worn, the rooms & staff were excellent I particularly want to commend the GM for making an effort for the Grand Prix weekend. The drinks etc & the opportunity to meet with guests & staff was fabulous. Would definitely stay here again. The location is also brilliant

It is comfortable to stay. Firstly, the subway station, 7-11 is nearby. The staff is very nice and helpful. I would comment the cleanliness as score 8.5/10. Moreover, the restaurant for breakfast is really great.
