Areti Suites

All in all excellent, ticked absoloutely all boxes for our requirements. Needed a "Staging Post" as early check out from holiday accomodation and very late flight time. On arrival reception staff very pleasant and helpful, in fact our room was ready for us earlier than normal time. Ground floor room, so no problems with heavy suitcases, very pleasant garden and clean pool with basic loungers and shade if required. Room lovely, exceptionally clean, with all facilities in consideration its ecconomic cost (suspect had been recently refurbed). Drinks available from onsite bar, only downside possibly was food available only by mobile take way delivery service during day/evening time and no close shops. Electronically contacted reception 2 days before arrival requesting taxi be booked at set time for our departure to airport from Areti. had electronic confirmation from Areti that they had kindly done so, taxi to airport arrived for us spot on our requested time (was expensive at 25 euro's for short journey, but taxi's do have a minimum costing, so for convenience found cost perfectly acceptable). Obviously very close to airport so aircraft noise. Would I book Areti again? definitely YES.

We arrived in the early hours after a much delayed flight to a very warm & cheerful welcome! Our room was lovely with a fantastic terrace overlooking the pool. Breakfast was tasty. We certainly would love to return here!

This was a fantastic airport hotel. We got in later than intended (well after midnight) as our flight kept getting delayed. We were unable to contact the hotel because of our phones not working internationally and were worried the reception would be closed, but it wasn't! We were kindly greeted by reception and were shown to our very comfortable and clean room. The property itself has a lovely outdoor area. We only stayed 1 night as a transfer hotel, but we were able to enjoy the excellent included breakfast an a quick dip in the pool before heading into Chania old town.

A great hotel if you either have a car or need to be by the airport. It is about 25 minutes from the old city, but not a terrible drive. The staff were extremely friendly. We had an issue with the drain being clogged when we arrived but they had someone there to fix it within 5 minutes. The breakfast was fairly good and there was a lot of parking.

Nous sommes arrivés tard, après notre vol, nous avons apprécié la proximité avec l’aéroport, et la gentillesse du personnel, toujours disponible et à toute heure. Les chambres sont très propres, le petit-déjeuner agréable. La piscine est jolie, nos enfants ont adoré ! Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Le seul inconvénient, le bruit le matin, nous avions la chambre la plus proche de l’accueil.

The room was clean and very comfortable, located on the ground floor right by the pool, which I used as soon as I awoke the next morning. And breakfast was ample and nutritious, with the option of sitting outside. Lovely experience all around.

Ottimo hotel, abbiamo avuto una camera a due piani, in entrambi c'era il bagno e terrazzo. Molto piacevole la piscina. La struttura è vicina all'aeroporto, il personale molto gentile e disponibile. Colazione buona. Dista 20 minuti da chania e circa 15 minuti dalla spiaggia di Sravros e di Seitan Limania. Lo consiglieri!

This hotel is very convenient for Chania Airport and I received a warm welcome despite arriving quite late at night. The room was spacious and comfortable. Just two critical comments - the shower had no curtain or door so after use the whole bathroom floor was wet for my whole stay. Coffee with breakfast was served from a flask and was neither fresh or hot.

Erg vriendelijke medewerkers en het hotel is schoon. Er moet wel nodig wat onderhoud gedaan worden, op kamers en bij zwembad is veel kapot of achterstallig onderhoud. Locatie is fijn, dichtbij vliegveld en Chania-stad.

Camera pulita e ben attrezzata. Solo la doccia non presenta una porta ma è dotata di due lastre di vetro sui due lati e, quindi, facendo la doccia un pò di acqua fuoriesce. Particolarmente comodi materasso e cuscino. Lo consiglio

I only stayed one night as i arrived late at night and it is so close to the airport. I wil definitely return. Gorgeous Apartment, mine was a duplex and had a bathroom and balcony on both floors. The upstairs balcony was huge. Great shower and Air conditioning. Free buffet breakfast with a great selection. Excellent.

The property itself feels like a Greek villa with whitewashed walls, red-tiled roofs, wide balconies, and terraces that open to the countryside. It is not overly modern or fancy, but it is clean, stylish, and true to the local architecture. The gardens and patio areas give it a peaceful, open feel, more like a home than a hotel. The photos online do not really show how charming it is in person. Before arriving, I did not receive any confirmation or clear communication from the hotel, which made me a little nervous since I have had issues with Expedia reservations in the past. Once we got there, everything went smoothly. The suite was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight, with a buffet of Greek cuisine and plenty of options, plus outdoor seating to enjoy the morning air. At night we left the windows open and heard the everyday neighborhood sounds of dogs, roosters, and people, which I really enjoyed. For travelers: rooms have a mini fridge but no microwave or way to heat food. Also, the power shuts off when you take your key card, which means the fridge turns off too. If you bring food, keep that in mind. Overall, a peaceful stay with friendly staff, good breakfast, and a property that shows the charm of Crete.

The place was very nice, thought the rollout bed was (as they all are, I suppose) lumpy and hard. But the main problem was that there was no food withing walking distance other than the breakfast served at the place and as snack bar there, so be prepared to drive, at night, in very dark roads, about 10 minutes to a decent restaurant (and the one we picked was mediocre).

Arrivés en fin de soirée à l aéroport de La Canée, quel plaisir de trouver un hôtel accueillant à moins de 10min de route. Accueillis avec le sourire, et un peu fatiguée, la personne a l accueil s’est débrouillé pour nous servir une heure et quelques parts de pizza! Une chambre grande et propre! Une très bonne nuit pour ensuite commencer la journée avec un bon petit déjeuner et une baignade dans la piscine! Le tout pour un excellent rapport qualité/prix! Nous y retournerons avec plaisir lors d’une prochaine arrivée à La Canée! PS : on attend assez bien le bruit des avions au décollage mais il y a peu de trafic à l’aéroport de La Canée!

Wonderful location. Easy accessibility, very next to Chania Airport. Clean, recently renoved, the room was brand new. We stayed in a 4 people room and it seemed a little apartment: very big, on two floors wits double bathroom. Swimming pool is a moment of refreshness at the end of the day. Personal are so kind, we leaved at 30past 4 in the morning and they prepared a little and sweet breakfast just for us, we really appreciate that. A very good choice to finish our holiday!

Grande chambre

Perfect for the night before our early morning flight! The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was small but efficient with space - not somewhere we'd want to stay for several nights but again perfect for a single night. The area felt safe and was about 20-30 to downtown Chania for a bite to eat and exploring. Noting that the bed was fairly soft if that's a concern. We didn't get to take advantage but they do include a free breakfast that smelled wonderful as we were leaving for the airport. They have a pool area as well.

The photos of the rooms are exactly the rooms, in totality, i.e., they are fairly small. But a great choice for an early morning flight from Chania. The people running the property are fabulous and could not be more helpful and accommodating. The location is a little challenging to find in the dark. About 6 minutes driving from the airport.

Stayed for a one night stay before moving on to a villa. Arrived late and was greeted by a lovely lady, was able to get a lovely fresh cooked pizza. Room was clean and had everything we needed, breakfast was great.

Conveniently located 5 min from the airport, this is the perfect hotel if you want to be close from and to your flight. There is no airport transfer service, taxi ride is 20 euros from , and 17 euros to the airport! Although the front desk arranged our taxi to the airport. It is important to rent a car when going around Chania from this location because there is no public transport nearby. The front desk assisted us with car rental once we arrived at the hotel, when we realized taxi rides will be very expensive around Chania. This was a local rental company, 90 euros for 2 days, car was delivered to and picked up from the hotel, including insurance. We calculated this is about reasonable considering going back to the airport to rent will cost another 17 euros. It is very helpful to drive a small car, and drive defensively- the streets are very narrow. The hotel staff is very accommodating, respectful and welcoming. Special mention to Natasha who made sure we have our taxi for the very early flight home, and to Anastassis who made espresso very early in the morning. The hotel structure (we were told) is 10 years old but it is very well-maintained, the bathrooms and the sheets are very clean. There is a family history to this hotel related to olive pressing, and you can see the old machineries in front! The neighborhood is quiet but you will also hear occasional fighter jets as the hotel is located near the military base. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and we recommend this hotel

This was a last minute booking as our flight got cancelled a d we couldnt fly home until the next day. We hit the jackpot finding this place! The rooms are so comfortable and homey, the staff are all so helpful. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice. Added a picture of the cat we befriended as well, couldnt leave her out

We booked one night stay the night we arrived in Crete. It was above the expectations: beautiful and clean room, 1am we were allowed to sit outside and chat with other guest. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was included as well. We would definitely come back if landing in Chania again.

Gorgeous property in the tiny village of Kathiana just 5 minutes from Chania airport. Too nice to stay just one night before flight home next day. Very clean and very friendly staff. Beautifully designed and decorated suites. Left before breakfast served but the staff made sure we had tea and coffee to go. It should be noted that it is in the middle of nowhere but that is part of the charm. Ordered take out pizza that was excellent. Highly recommend especially before a flight out.

Super convenient to the airport, clean, quiet and friendly. Just be aware there are no restaurants in walking distance.

Great location, so convenient for the airport which was what we needed as we arrived late at night. Check-in was painless as was the rest of our stay. Highly recommended.
