Great place to stay and full of characters. Would have loved a bigger better Cumberland sausage. They should probably charge a little bit more so they can improve breakfast quality. Cannot complain about the price though.

Lovely room, quiet area. Restaurant was lovely and busy. Good grub. Staff helpful and attentive. Nice stop over before hitting the lakes

Fabulous B&B…traditional pub with great rooms with modern showers. Dinner used local ingredients and was very tasty and generous portion size. Breakfast had nice thick bacon, local sausage and all the usual black pudding, mushroom, tomato, beans and hash browns. Would thoroughly recommend

Breakfast was very good and there was lots of choice. We ate at The Wheatsheaf on the second evening; the place was full and the service prompt. It wouldn't be a good place to stay if you're not good on stairs as the accommodation is on the second floor, but staff took our cases up for us and a fellow customer carried them down, so we were very grateful. The room was clean and spacious and the carpark was just across the road so it was a very nice stay.
