Causeway Hotel

Great little Inn that’s about 200 years old and is situated right next to the Giants Causeway. Parking was easy. Staff were excellent and warm. Check in was in an informal and inviting setting. We loved the whole vibe of the place. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast there too and it was affordable and delicious. The causeway visitors center is right next door and the Giant’s Causeway is right behind the property. We highly recommend the Causeway Hotel.

This is the best hotel to stay at if you are visiting Giants Causeway. I went on evening and early morning walks to the stones and had the entire place to myself. Parking & breakfast was included with our stay, as well as entrance to the visitor centre. The free guided walk was informative & fun. The staff was friendly & attentive.

A great location - steps away from the Giant Causeway. Hotel overlooks the water and there are several paths to walk along. Nice breakfast. We enjoyed our stay there. Just be aware there are no elevators.

This is an amazing property. The location is right next to Giant's Causeway visitor center. What we did not know was that being a guest gives you free entrance to the visitor center and guided tour, that saved us over 30 pounds! Plus breakfast and parking were included. The best location we could ever find.

If you’re looking to see the Giants Causeway, you can’t get a better location. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and your stay includes admission to the site. Have to have a car to get to and from but overall good experience.

A wonderful hotel a few steps away from the Giants Causeway entrance. Stay includes entrance to the Causeway with guided tour. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and clean, we loved the coffee machine and choice of teas. Excellent breakfast with continental and table service for cooked food. Great restaurant and cosy bar with bar meals on offer in the evenings. We will definitely be back.

The staff here is always a pleasure to work with. This lovely old hotel offers convenience to the Giants Causeway, as well as so much history within the building itself. The pub is always the best way to top off a night of exploring the coast.

This is a very convenient place to stay for visiting giants causeway. I love that we can park easily, which is included in the price, because it was so crowded on the day we went. They were confused about my 2 rooms that I booked together, and even though I had requested to be next to my kids, we were separated by a few rooms. No worries, they are 10-15, but it was inconvenient for packing and unpacking purposes to travel down the hallway. The views are gorgeous although you will see visitors posing outside of your room so you kinda have to keep the curtains closed until about 6 when the tour buses leave and the visitor center closes. The food was acceptable, just keep expectations at the right level. It’s not gross it’s just nothing really good, steak sandwich was stringy, chicken was dry. My husband said the service at dinner was not good. I was too busy laughing with the kids to notice though. I thought it was fine. Breakfast was great. The mirror in one of our bathrooms was leaning sideways like it had fallen and been caught by the wall; so I reported it upon check in and they fixed it immediately. There are no lifts, as the hotel is historical, but they offer to help with bags which is very kind. I was too tired at night to check out the bar with live music. I wish I had been able to because I’m sure it was very lovely! And you cannot hear it from the rooms (at least ours were quiet), so I slept peacefully.

This is a historic property next to Giant's Causeway and the visitor center. Next to the ocean and walking/hiking trails. Restaurant in the building. (No other restaurants within walking distance, but a few minutes drive to Bushmills town). Free admission to Visitor Center with stay. Centrally located to many beautiful coastal sights, castles and attractions. Staff was very helpful. Great views.

Rooms were very small and hard to get around. There waa no lift so carrying luggage up and down the stairs was challenging.

The bathroom had mold on the bath mat hairs in the bath a bathroom door that someone had kicked from the inside , flys on light shade. Stain on bed sheet of bed. Was really not a nice experience inside The giants causeway itself is and always will be a remarkable icon and I will continue to go there but definitely not to the causeway hotel. Not valu for money

This hotel was perfectly situated for a one night stay to visit The Giant’s Causeway with the added benefit of free parking and free access to the National Trust’s visitor Centre. The staff were friendly and the food was good, especially breakfast but otherwise everything about the stay was 3 star. We had loose guttering outside our room being battered in the wind keeping us awake, the fire alarm going off at 5am, not enough towels and one dirty. You have to realise it’s an old building but it needs a make over for sure, especially the bathroom. We had a problem and rang through to reception. The guy said he was on his computer and would have to get back to us. He never did. Despite paying a hefty amount for the room we got one overlooking their courtyard with overflowing bins. But seriously, take all the negatives away, we are glad we stayed there. The Causeway is a sight to see and this was a perfect base.

We enjoyed a few nights here in January. It's a great location for accessing the Causeway coastal path. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The bar is a great place to relax and the breakfast is wonderful. The room was comfortable enough, however the bathroom desperately needed an upgrade...the bath/shower was very mouldy.

What an excellent property. Everything is just spot on! Excellent customer service throughout, cordial welcome and very efficient with no long waiting time to check-in, beautiful room, quiet, spotlessly clean, dinner and breakfast - we couldn't fault it. And the bonus of course is the location. I walked down to the causeway for the sunset. Spectacular! Thank you for your hospitality, we only wished that we could have stayed longer.

Very nice hotel. Staff carried our bags up the 20 steps into our room, which was very much appreciated. One bed had no sheet not discovered until we we were about to turn in, but a call to the front desk sorted it right out. Lovely restaurant with excellent service and food.

Approaching the hotel i thgt oh look this looks nice ..... how wrong !! So upon entry to the hotel it looked tired.... we then checked in no lift to the room (16) so my 71 year old mother had to hike stairs she was offered a CHAIR LIFT not ideal ! The room was very dated and tired and tbh not very clean (mini egg pkts under the bed ! Corner at window to left abs stinking on skirtings ).... chairs had staining on them walls in need of repair ie filler and painting , knobs missing of furniture which is also furniture dated and painted over ! Blinds on the windows parts missing of the actual blind so light in all night ! The bath is abs not viable for anyone with any health restrictions a step ladder would be required ! I also asked for a fan as the heating was on full pelt room was so uncomfortable to this moment im still waiting for the fan he never came back ! and also didnt come back to turn off the heating so not only were we roasted due to hot day we had the added heat of a system also ..... such an uncomfortable night thankful checking out this morning I think bcz this hotel is at such a landmark there's no effort needed to please guests or indeed give any reason to return I am very dissapointed and would most certainty not recommend this place to anyone

Location is absolutely ideal. But, the rest ranged from good to below average. The TV had terrible reception issues and mostly didn’t work. The bed was uncomfortable, where you can feel the springs. The pillows were rather poor as well. Also, the bathroom was freezing with a window that even closed exposed a lot of draft and the heater reset to a low temp in the middle of the night.

We had a really lovely stay. The location is idyllic, and it was amazing to be able to enjoy the Giant’s Causeway in both the evening and morning. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were so kind about making off-menu requests for the kids. Everyone was super friendly, and our room was spacious with a beautiful terrace and stunning views.

The room was big enough for us to arrange our bags, ect. We had a little terrace with a good view of the sunset - which would be after 10pm. The location was very quiet at the ends of the day, before the tourist coaches arrived and when they'd gone. The Giant's Causeway was a pleasant walk.

Lovely location and perfect for the Giant's Causeway. Very good idea to offer free entry to the visitors centre for guests staying at the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was really great, good food in nice surroundings. One comment however, the bed was a bit lumpy, mattress toppers or new mattresses would not be a bad idea. Other than that, we'd stay again.

Staff goes above & beyond to give guests extraordinary service, nice spacious room, beautiful scenery and walking paths around property, quiet night’s sleep, updated bathroom and dining onsite was nice after a long day hiking on the causeway.

This hotel has charm from its location and is clean. However we couldn't get the heating in our room to work much, the sink plug wouldn't open and there was no wifi in the room. Otherwise the room itself was well appointed and ideal.

Fantastic sea views with a private porch. It's an easy walk down to the Stones, and if you don't feel up to walking, there is a shuttle.

Great location for Giant's Causeway. Convenient for parking too! Had a nice meal for dinner and breakfast. Room was clean and spacious. Lovely patio with view out over the water was perfect. Loved our stay and would highly recommend.

Poor check in experience. Room was not ready. Told to sit in bar. No offer of a drink or cup of tea/coffee. Hotel needs redecorated. Breakfast good.

This place was amazingly nice for visiting the Causeway Coast. Abby at the front desk was incredibly helpful with getting us transportation and answering any questions we had. 10/10 all the way through.

Check in caused some trouble, I indicated when I booked with Hotels.com I would pay at the hotel but they charged my card anyway. I had wanted to pay at the hotel so next time, I hope they pay attention to what I put down.

They were so kind and helpful! They gave me a birthday tray of goodies in my room! So thoughtful! Location of the hotel is outstanding, right on Giant’s Causeway. Excellent hotel and staff!

I stayed at the Causeway Hotel for the first time with my wife Rev Caroline Burns. We were greeted by very friendly and efficenr staff who helped carry our luggage on account of my disabilities. They had lovely bar and night staff. The beds were very comfortable. We both sleprt grom the minute we hit the pilliw to morning and the rooms delightfully decorated. The food was delicious and the service both at breakfast and dinner very welcoming and attentive. Super Friendly would be a word to cover all the staff here making you feel special, as if it was your own home.

We enjoyed our stay at the Causeway Hotel. The hotel is directly next to the Giants Causeway visitor center and has dedicated parking for hotel guests. This allowed us to explore giants causeway without time limitations. We had a beautiful room with an outdoor terrace that overlooked the ocean. As soon as the tourist buses departed for the day the hotel became extremely quiet and relaxing (during the day it is very crowded with tourists). A great place to stay if you want to explore giants causeway.

Fabulous hotel for the giants causeway you can literally walk to it from here

Excellent location for hiking the Causeway. Breakfast had vegan and gluten free options. The interior is a bit dated and you can hear every door close with a bang.

We booked this hotel because of its convenience to the Causeway trails. The hotel is right beside the visitors centre for the Giants Causeway, and is seeped in history with a lovely bar and restaurant. The desserts were the best I have ever had at a restaurant. The service was very professional, but we could tell they were struggling to keep up. We noticed in our travels, that a shortage of staff is common, and it seemed to be here as well. Our room was on a corner of the building, so had wonderful views of the farm fields and the ocean. I highly recommend you stay here.

Enjoyed our stay, the food menu was great variety of food to cater for everyone. food was excellent. Great nights sleep, bed was very comfortable.

Super close to the GC. Food good and prices reasonable. Fish and chips were great and prices lower than expected.
