Liked: visible river running alongside restaurant and visible from room. Well styled decor in all areas. Comfortable bed, good shower, good food for breakfast, lunch or dinner.and very friendly and helpful staff. Not liked: no mirror close to a power point for using a hair dryer, you do need a car to get around, room was uncomfortably warm and their was lots of road noise from the freeway if the windows were open for some fresh air and to cool the room. But they provided a pedestal fan and with closed windows it was quiet. To go from accomodation to restaurant, breakfast room or bar you must exit the building, walk around the outside of the building and come in a different door, not a great design, particularly in bad weather. But over all I would say this is a lovely place to stay, with a great vibe, reasonable value and the staff could not be better. You will love it.

Ate in the restaurant and the food was very good and portion sizes huge. Great selection of drinks in the bar. Stayed in a double room with river view on the top floor. Room was very clean, bathroom and shower were great and the bed was super comfy, had a great nights sleep. Overall very enjoyable stay, would happily go back.

Unfortunately not advised that the restaurant was closed on both of our nights. Especially as we arrived late on the first night. Breakfast was average. Would not stay here again

Lovely position right next to river recently tastefully refurbished. Staff were all kind, helpful and upbeat full of smiles. Really good chef excellent food really well presented and good value it even came on hot plates which for me is a must for hot food but rare these days. Massive outdoor area lots of comfortable seating well laid out. Ely city beautiful old buildings and superb cathedral lots of good coffee shops eating places and great marina area. We hope to go back in the summer

The food was excellent but the restaurant and bar closed at 4pm as it was a Sunday. There was no mention of early closing on the website. The room was very very hot, there was no aircon. We were woken in the morning early to what sounded like the roar of jet engines.

Nice room with comfortable king size bed. Balcony was pleasant and overlooked terrace with lots of outdoor seating. En-suite was good although there was quite a lot of dust, the biggest concern we had was the water did not run away very well in the shower leaving a slippery surface. It would be sensible to have a nonslip surface and a holding bar to grab. There were several spiders living in the room and I removed these as my wife doesn’t like them. In general our stay was pleasant although on the Saturday we went out early but on our return the room had not been refreshed. We were told that someone knocked but there was no answer, we did say on arrival that we would be out early. During the evening there was a live show. We were informed by the hotel two days before our stay that this would be happening and it would finish by 11:30 pm. The music did end on time however there were still a group of people outside our window for at least another 30-45 mins who were talking very loudly. The clear up began straight away, a radio started playing and the staff were scraping tables across the floor, throwing bottles away and collecting glasses. They were very loud and there was a lack of consideration for guests trying to sleep. At one point doors were being banged and the wall behind us shook with the effort. All in all I would say that if you are an evening person this is a great location however, if you are needing to be up early it is probably best to find somewhere quieter.

Very clean all round. Big TV which makes a change from the little ones in most places. Staff very good. Bathroom good but in our room the rain shower head needed attention has it looked like several holes were blocked and it sprayed everywhere. Only small complaint is if we had the bedroom window open the wind was noisy thro the bedroom door (whistled). It’s also a pity you have to go outside to access the bar and restaurant from the hotel side, poor design. Hotel, food and staff excellent

Took a chance here needing an overnight stay for an event in Ely. What a brilliant place it is. The riverside location is stunning. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable, clean and modern. The staff were all very friendly and polite throughout our stay. The restaurant was excellent and highly recommend for both dinner and breakfast. We fully intend on returning again next year.

Nice hotel, tucked out of the way but easy driving distance to Ely. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, free parking. Rooms newly decorated and very comfortable.

The pub-Hotel was ok, just a little disappointed with cleanliness, soaps looked liked they was there from previous guests, really should be wrapped for next guest to use. Coffee machine uncleaned still had pods in from previous guests, just little things that can be improved.As it is a pub can be a little noisy until customers leave so be aware if you have early starts next day

Great dinner, enough choice, price just about ok. Great breakfast (and big) Great staff Beer prices acceptable. Only shame was bed was too soft (and pillows) It was probably a quality, expensive bed but we found it so soft it was difficult to sleep on (which is the reason to stay there!) Almost felt like head was lower than our feet. But if you like a soft bed 10/10 The weather wasn't good enough for us to spend time outside, but the facilities were ideal for a sunny day.

What a lovely place to stay, I wish I could have stayed longer. From the check in to checking out everything was smooth and easy. The room was very neat and modern but felt comfortable, I had a room with a balcony and spent an hour or so relaxing by the river while enjoying a beer from the mini fridge that was charge at nominal £6. There were a couple of different beers or ciders that are charged for when you check out. There is also complementary water and free WIFI for guests. The TV was in a strange place in my room No2 being at a 90° angle to the bed and on the same wall as the two seater sofa. The bed was very comfortable, a bit too soft as were the pillows for my liking. The bathroom was clean and had everything you needed with small shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in small plastic bottles, hopefully these get refilled and not thrown in the waste when only a small amount has been used? The evening meal was delightful in the conservatory style balcony, but there didn't appear to be a great deal for vegetarians or Vegans.

Lovely location by a river. Property is well maintained and the guest rooms have been decorated to a good standard. Customer service was variable and we were left with the impression that the bar and restaurant were the primary focus of the business. We were not made to feel welcome when we arrived and made to feel that our presence was inconvenient There was no allocated parking for overnight guests and no-one bothered to explain anything or offered to help with our bags. Dinner was lovely and the service was very good, but breakfast seemed to be too much effort. We would not return.

This has to be one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in many a year. We arrived 2 hours early and were given key to the room and a very nice young lady showed us the way and explained the facilities. The evening meals were excellent, portions very good and excellent quality food and drink, the lad who served us was pleasant and always smiling. Lovely nights sleep was followed by a super english breakfast and real coffee. What a way to finish the stay. We had a walk around the grounds and it is plain to see the grounds have been lovingly tendered with great furniture etc. We will be back.

Amazing find defo going back so friendly, helpful, and accommodatng. Room was immaculate large fluffy towels modern bathroom. Food and atmosphere fabulous good value and original menu, with some classics all homemade.
