Staybridge Suites Midvale by IHG

The hot tub and pool area were closed for the whole stay, the laundry facilities had many pieces of equipment that were in disrepair and the hallways and stairways had not been vacuumed in quite some time. We have stayed here since this facility was new and it appears that it s in need of some TLC.

We were suppose to stay for 6 nights but checked out after one night. Our room was ok, although the rest of the hotel was run down. The hot tub was out of order and the breakfast staff didn't show up on the 1st morning. We checked out shortly after.

Excellent place, very clean, well maintained and comfortable. The one negative thing is the treadmills didn't work in the gym.

I liked that you could sit by the fire after or before you swam (they are in the same area). Unfortunately the hot tub was broken when we stayed. They seemed understaffed especially our first night and breakfast morning. I went to the front desk myself to pick up extra towels and bedding for the pull out bed because it would have been awhile otherwise. With breakfast they took a long time to get everything out. (I think only one person was doing it.) The hot water wasn't hot.The toaster got out finally as we were about to leave. They didn't have cereal out. The second day, they didn't have the microwave out...but maybe because the water was actually hot this time? I don't know. It wasn't awful. Just a little disappointing. Our shower hadn't been cleaned when we got into our room. Thankfully it was just stuff by the drain so it washed down. Very kind staff though.

We always stay at Staybridge in Naples/Marco Island Florida and love it! Midvale was just ok. Air Conditioning was loud and made weird groaning sounds. The washers and dryers were out of commission and actually flooded. The bathroom was so small you can’t open the door the whole way and still move around. The shower doors were not on tracks and swayed when touched. The silverware was missing spoons.

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms and clean. Only bad thing was keycard constantly demagnetizing.

We had a fantastic stay at the Staybridge Suites in Midvale, UT. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. The location is peaceful yet close to everything—stores, restaurants, and easy freeway access. Our suite was clean, spacious, and had a full kitchen, which made it easy to prepare meals. The beds were very comfortable, and the overall setup was perfect for a family. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and had something for everyone. The social hour was a pleasant surprise. One of our favorite features was the outdoor space. The BBQ grills were clean and easy to use, and we loved spending time outside grilling dinner while my little one enjoyed the pool. The fire pit area was great in the evenings, and the atmosphere felt cozy and safe. The free laundry and fitness center were a big plus, especially for a longer stay. We really appreciated all the thoughtful amenities that made this feel like a home away from home. We’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the Salt Lake area!

Everything was great. Room was clean. The only thing was that the elevators were down and we had to take the stairs and the fire alarm woke us up early

First off, great location when it comes to food choices in walking distance. But other than that, not so great. Had to wait to check in well after suggested 3pm check in time. Was told they had no idea if rooms were clean or ready for us. Went through 3 sets of keys in 2 days due to them working then not working. Every time you left the room or went to the pool/spa it was a guessing game rather you would get back into the building or your room. Ok place but not worth it.

Poorly run. Breakfast was a mess. Common bathrooms also needed attention. Overall, below average from what I have experienced before from Staybridge.

Everything was okay until it was housekeeping. My only concern was bathrooms, they weren't fully cleaned (mostly toilets and tubs).

The hotel was awesome and looked exactly like the photos. Everything from the exterior to the interior was clean and the breakfast options were also excellent. The rooms were spacious enough for families with children and it gave them a safe place to play and run around and not have us on top of one another.

There was trash under the hide-a-bed. There were no extra linens in the room despite having made the reservation for 6 people. The cabinet fronts were dirty. The lady at the front desk was attentive and helpful.

Room very outdated. Not clean. Bed box springs very stained. Sinks didn't drain and dishwasher leaked all over floor.

After leaving another hotel due to lack of cleanliness, privacy and customer service (The Royal Inn midvale) I came to where i shouldve gone first, Staybridge Suites. Not only was the staff welcoming and wonderful, they were able to get me a room late after the fiasco with the other hotel. The room was spotless and provided all the needs i could want. Will stay here during every trip to SLC!!

Great stay. Very clean and quiet.

The Wi-Fi never allowed us to connect and after unloading our bags realized it only had a shower. With 6 people and 2 of them are kids! Ugh.

It's really quiet here, the rooms are spacious and soundproof. I can't hear any sound while sleeping at night. The comfort is really great. My husband and I will still choose this place

The room was nice and clean. The only reason i gave it 3 stars is becaue the air conditioner in our room was making lots of noise. If it was any cooler then 72 degrees it would start making noise. Maintenance came in a checked it but of couse it didn't make rhe noise and they said they couldn't really fix it. My other complaint is the light from the outside was shining directly into our room. We asked to move rooms but they were over booked. Finally on our last day they "moved" the light. But it was still shining in our rook all night long. The breakfast was great. The Social hour was great. The pool was nice and refreshing and the hot tub was nice and warm. All in all our stay was good. Just little things here and there that i wish could have been taken care of.

Everything was great, had no idea that it was a pet friendly hotel, really like that. If I had to complain the only things I would complain about was the bathroom was a little small. Otherwise our trip and staying. Was great.

Our room was spacious, and chic. We had a kitchen and a living area separate from the bedroom. Could be a great set up for a family or 3-4 adults. Bathroom was itty bitty comparatively off the bedroom. Worked for us as a couple. It was clean all around when we arrived. Our only gripe was that the bed and pillows were not comfortable to us, very hard bed and very soft pillows. I’m sure that’s great for some folks but we slept poorly for what we are used to. Room was quiet though, and we enjoyed our stay with catnaps the next day. Breakfast was great both days we ate, especially considering there was a team of young kids there to play soccer and they kept everything stocked.

Great staff and overall facilities accept for the beds. Tried 2 rooms and beds were very uncomfortable unless you like very very firm mattresses

Nice place to stay. Loved the kitchenette in the room. Very clean and comfortable. My room had been recently painted and the odor was very strong. Getting ice requires assistance from staff, which is inconvenient. I had to wait in line until others were checked in. I will stay here again and will pick up ice ahead of time. The odor was only temporary. I requested a new ironing board and it took over an hour and I had to call a second time. That probably won’t happen again

The girl that checked us in was very rude and threatened to not give us our room that we prepaid for

I made reservations through your company for 2 rooms for five nights. When I arrived at the hotel they had only a reservation for one room for five nights and said they would not have another room available for another two days. I had to give that room to an employee that was with me and had to find and stay at another hotel. I was told by the clerk I would get 50% off for booking the the remaining three days as a way to compensate for the error. This turned out to be a lie or deception. When I checked in for the remaining three days I was told that they would take 50% off but, only for one night. The manager told me that the problem was with Hotels.com and that they are the ones responsible for the problem with the reservation mistake. She said I should contact Hotels.com personally to resolve the issue, because they were at fault. The night before I left I checked to see if one night room rate was reduced by 50%. It was not, so…another lie. I asked the clerk to contact the manager. The clerk contacted the manager. The manager responded to the clerk that she was “unavailable” because she was not at work. The following morning I found out I was charged for all three nights at the normal rate. So it’s another big deception on the part of the manager. Personally, this manager gave me the worst customer service experience I have had in my life!! She told me emphatically I should never book through Hotels.com.

The few complaints that I had were that my room wasn’t ready for me to check in until 8pm and the other issue was that the night front desk staff was not accommodating to our group to use the conference room late in the night.

I loved the amenities they offered I loved that it's pet friendly and family friendly.. some things to work on but over all is a great place to stay . Wish I could say the same about the neighborhood.

Large room, with kitchenette. Friendly helpful staff. Only 2 electric stovetop heating cells. Did have a good microwave. Not many pots or plates for cooking. Had a desk with 2 chairs for eating. So not really good for family for eating in. Great location near 15 and 215.

Great location, close to lots of food options and entertainment.

The place is clean and all areas and rooms look modern and cozy. Good breakfast selection, although had to wait for some items as they had ran out. Good access to highways and only 40min from popular ski resorts. Good selection of stores and restaurants next to the hotel. I would certainly come again.

Realy nice hotel in general. The ac wasnt working great in our room. Pool towels too small. Breakfast was poor. Coffe was cold, they run out of it super quick, waffle mix taste weird. No juices avaliable. Just one waffle maker for everybody? No regular bread to toast...etc

Griendly service, clean, close to lots of stores & restaurants. Breakfast buffet was an hour late being set out (waited 7:30-8:30) which set our road trip behind about an hr & a 1/2 but things happen. Nice hotel!

Two night stay during our Thanksgiving holiday travels. It was a clean hotel with a great breakfast.

Overall nice property with lots if places to eat nearby. Staff at check in and breakfast host could be a bit more friendly breakfast was not good marta or martha was pretty much avoiding people at 8 am where completely out if milk and a lady we talked to said they where the last days aswell she told a guy to put yogart. Or water on his cold cereal biscuits where soggy and gravy was cold and pasty not much fresh and the lady working wasn’t wareing gloves and touching food. Trash etc and not washing her hands and pretending she didn’t understand or speek English at all aside from the poor service at checkin and out and the breakfast lady and food being awful overall good clean place

The bed was very uncomfortable. The ice maker in the freezer wasn’t working. One day, breakfast was bland and overcooked. The next day it was an hour late. Second night, about 11 pm, they had someone working on a door right across the hall with a drill and dropping screws on a metal plate. The air conditioner was unreliable. And for the first time ever, I was in a hotel that didn’t have movie channels! No stars or HBO.

The suites were well equipped and spacious the amenities were excellent with outdoor jacuzzi and pool. The breakfasts were good and they had a pleasant Social Hour 3 days a week with food and wine. The staff was friendly and helpful

This was an average option if you need a kitchen, laundry and a bit bigger room. I did appreciate the free laundry. The property is dated, the breakfast was subpar and the staff were not welcoming. It made the experience one that would make me second guess going back. Which is unfortunate as I am in Midvale every few months.

Had everything we needed. comfortable beds great breakfast
