Great hotel and staff. Frustrations were: pool was closed for no reason, nor did it say online it was seasonal or what that season was. No gluten free options for breakfast and for our rooms, housekeeping never made up the hide-a-bed and we ran out of TP. Area is great, staff was great.

While the stay had potential for improvement, the night auditor, Margaret, provided an exceptional check-in experience. She was engaging and offered valuable food recommendations. We were assigned room #100, conveniently located near the pool exit. Fortunately, the pool was not in season, making this a favorable room choice. However, we noted cleanliness issues in the bathroom, specifically a noticeable brown smudge on the bottom of the shower curtain, which was present upon our arrival. Additionally, the shower curtain appeared to be detaching from the rod, indicating it requires replacement. Finally, it is requested that brighter accent lighting be installed, as the existing low-wattage lights are insufficient for a thorough wardrobe inspection before departure..

Unfortunately, my overall experience at this property was underwhelming from the start. The tone was set at check-in, where the front desk interaction felt cold and impersonal. There was very little effort to make the welcome warm or engaging, which immediately stood out. What truly frustrated me, however, was being told after I had completed check-in and received my room assignment that the elevator was out of service—and that I would need to take the stairs to the third floor. There was no prior notice, no apology, and no effort to offer an alternative room on a lower floor. It came across as nonchalant and dismissive, as if this major inconvenience wasn’t worth acknowledging. For the price of the room, I expected more—both in terms of service and how situations like this are handled. It could have been a much better experience with just a little communication and care. Sadly, this stay missed the mark.

Safety issue with our roll-shower water flows on tile floor and becomes dangerously slippery and almost fell! Bad situation ! Also need some repairs on wall electric outlets coming off wall also other outs excessively worn out.Ice maker defective on our floor. And last but no least mold around our shower floor !

Many things broken in the room. I woke up with a cockroach on my back the first night and then the second night i slept with the light on because i could hear them scurrying around as I tried to sleep. I checked out a day early and finally spoke to a manager (front desk staff kept saying they couldn't help me) and she offered me points which i don't want.

We stay at this hotel quite often. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great. In the past the hotel has been pretty clean, however this time it was not. The bed linens and towels were clean, thankfully. But the shower was dirty with soap scum and mold - mostly around the perimeter of the bottom of the shower. The carpet was sticky and the room had an unpleasant odor. The carpet in the stairwell was really dirty. Hoping this was just an off weekend for them.

When we arrived, we were given a room that smelled like a wet dog! The guy at the front desk kindly apologized and gave us another room. The room smelled much fresher in the 2nd room - but once we unpacked we noticed that although it looked clean on the surface, it was not. There was hair in the bathroom, cobwebs on the lamp and random little things on the carpet that a vacuum should’ve picked up. The other thing that we did not appreciate was the faux flowers everywhere in the lobby. These are just dust collectors and I feel too personal of a decor item for a public space. If you want fake roses all over your house - go for it…but not attached to the front desk of a hotel!

I am shocked at this property! The mold in the bathtub/shower, the bathtub/shower drain plug was loose from the drain due to it being so clogged with hair etc., the mold/mildew in the AC vent, the upholstery peeling on the furniture, the chipping & worn off finish of the case goods, and the mini-refrigerator sitting in the room and not in is intended built-in space… just to name a few. The entire facility smelled like it had been smoked in and did not feel clean at all. The facility was NOT up-to-date at all! There were no USB outlets to plug your phone for charging. The price we paid was exorbitant compared to other properties in similar areas. We surely didn’t get the $240 we paid for the night we stayed! This was not at all worth the price or our health! Gross facility to say the least!

When i got to my room the bathroom would not close sunce it was pulled away from the wall. I notifies the front desk. They said they could move me but it was just me so no worries. Then at 1 am sunday morning another guest was yelling at his spouse girl friend, slamming things, etc. Called front desk and it finally got quiet. I lost a bit of sleep. There were also ants that kept showi g up in the bathroom. Think its time to find a new hotel. I've been using this hotel since it opened and it has gone a bit downhill since. Management needs to do more inspections, etc.

Stayed here many times for several years and always loved the place. Still do except for 1 big thing. They have a new mattress in the room we were in this time and it was so hard as to be unbearable. My wife moved to the floor after a couple hours and I slept in the chair. No great but far better than the bed. Otherwise we still like it here.

The staff refused to give us additional towels even after I gave our used towels to the maids. The guy at the front desk on Saturday morning just said “We don’t give any additional towels”, and was not helpful at all. We had to go to Target to get our own towels.

This was a VERY clean, reasonably priced Hotel. We were very happy with the staff and service. It was a great find midway through our journey. There is a police substation nearby and the mall directly behind the hotel has on staff security nightly. There is plenty to eat locally from Interstate 12 in Louisiana in Covington La.

Room was clean and modern. The front desk young man was nice and patient. Good location.There are also a lot of stores (e.g., Best Buy, Marshalls, Ross) nearby in the same plaza. Also a Sams Club for gas right across from the lobby. Lots of restaurants such as Olive Garden and Chili's.

Our stay at this Holiday Inn Express (Covington) was wonderful. Rachelle is not only an outstanding AGM, but she ran the breakfast room each morning. It was clean, the food was hot, and she goes out of her way to make each early morning breakfast enjoyable. She just relates to everyone in a remarkable manner.

Nice amount of space in the room. Bed was not that comfortable. The room finally got to an acceptable temperature half way the the stay. The lighted mirror in the restroom is flashing/going out, which was annoying. Mold growing in the corners of the bath tub. The restroom door hinges scream every time it’s moved, which wakes everyone up when one person goes to the restroom. The noise from the other rooms meant that I was able to get about 3 hours of meaningful sleep before hitting the road again. Breakfast was late being served so we decided to come back midway through. When we got back, the majority of the food was gone, so ended up taking the family to an restaurant.

Very nice stay on our road trip way to Disney. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and they had a great breakfast selection. We arrived just before midnight and the area was well lit and felt very safe. Definitely would stay there again!

The only thing that gave the rating of a 4 out of 5 is the breakfast. I like the waffle/pancake which the machine was out of order like it was 3 weeks ago and my wife wants her oatmeal which they did not have. I will be back in the area on 9/19 and may look for another location so I don’t need to bring my wife to Cracker Barrel for breakfast.
