Western Motel Hattiesburg

This a very unsafe place to stay. There were fights in the parking lot and on the property with tenants. Room was old with holes in the bed spread. People were even throwing rocks on purpose to break the sunroof on my car. Employee was locked in for her own safety. We did not stay, turned in our key and sought a refund. They kept our money. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE!!

Sheets were clean, but the exposed box spring under the mattress was disgusting. It had many dark stains on it. The bathroom wall, clear up and clean a long time and had several brown stains on it near the toilet paper dispenser. my expectations are not high at this price range, but this place failed to thrm

I booked online and when I got there they asked for a $60 cash deposit. The room was dirty. The sheets were dirty. Will not stay here again.

The beds were comfortable, but the room was less than clean. Without seeing how the other rooms are kept or staying another time, I can't say if this is normal or not. Overall it's certainly not the worst experience I've had at a motel.

We walk in first we do is go to pee well someone beat us to it. 3 guess stayed and 2 towels no hand soap and the front had no idea we had booked this stay lol typical if you want cheap and don’t give a damn plus it’s a weekly and monthly place as well so seedy people there

Hair in the bed and tub. I asked for a cover another sheet. The staff gave me a cover sheet with hair on it. Room was not wiped down. Disgusting. I will not be returning

No coffee, no hot water, no wifi (there was Wi-Fi, they even after the clerk went over the password over and over again, it didn't work), dirty walls, doors, and floor, cigarette burns in the bedding. The saddest towels ever seen, and CASH deposit - $60 for Internet reservations (More expensive than the actual room!). So cold - no blanket. Just a bedspread barely thicker than the sheets. You have been warned.

Absolutely horrible!! Room wasn't cleaned properly. Shower, sink and toilet all had low water pressure, took what seemed like ages for the shower to heat up, shower head only had two settings and one didn't work at all! Sheets are assumed to not be cleaned or stored properly...I shouldn't be laying in bed and be itchy literally the whole time. Made reservations and PAID ONLINE and when I get there to check in I'm asked for a deposit when a deposit is not mentioned on the site or the booking site AT ALL. Newly programmed key card didn't work properly either. I had to stand there almost the whole stay for ten plus minutes just to get into my room, went and told management and nothing was done about it. 1/10 would not recommend.

This property advertises day and hour rates on its sign out front which leads me to believe this property is gearing itself to illicit activity or simply doesn't care and is just trying to squeeze money out of it as much as possible which is reinforced by its lack of cleanliness as well as general level of maintenance. Every single wall was covered by either dirt or markings of some kind that prompted me to leave after the first night. Nothing and I mean nothing was in a serviceable state, the place should be gutted or condemned and start over.

The room had a smell to it and the curtain wouldn’t close all the way, I think I used a luggage or chair to put against the door and window to get it to close all the way. Especially since the was an “outside” room and people were walking from the street straight to your door. Wasn’t horrible, but I just remember feeling unsafe, and the floors were very dirty as in they hadn’t been mopped in a very long time. If you walked barefoot, when you got on the sheets, the soles of your feet were going to be brown.

Attendant didn't want to open door in the cold weather. OLD everything was old. One channel, doors flirty. Locks needs upgrading, bedspread & towels needs upgrading. The only good i found was the water pressure

I asked for non-smoking, we were placed in a smoking room. This was our second trip here and the lady recognized us and put us in “thesame room you had last time” which was also thesame smoking room. The smell wasn’t overwhelming but at times it would wake me up. Why didn’t I ask to be switched? Because the smell wasn't overwhelming, it only occurred sporadically throughout but would go away. Why am I reporting it? Because she knew my reservation was for non-smoking, it’s her property I shouldn’t have to tease out via detective work that she put us in smoking when my reservation clearly states non-smoking. The bathroom was also in a worn down state. I got confirmation when I was visiting town for a 3rd time and the attendant at the front, being different from the other lady I had encountered on the first 2 occasions, told me those were smoking rooms and put me in a different room. The rooms are “outside” with just a walk from your car straight to your front door, and so it felt a little unsafe, nothing ever happened all 3 times we stayed but just having someone have access straight to your door from outside “feels” unsafe, especially with the area being where strays and other such pets and people walk around at night. Needless to say, we won’t be staying here again unless in absolute dire constraints.

Good customer service, but no Internet in my room as claimed throughout my five days stay. They have to improve and maintain what they claim...

Raj and his wife are super sweet. This place was packed every day and it looks like they may be working on bettering it, but…in my room there were burn holes in the sheets. The ceiling paint and floor tile are peeling. I was supposed to have two double beds but had a king bed. This place is on a main road with everything you could want close by. Even though on a main road it was quiet. There were NO bugs and the bed was comfortable so to me it is fine if you just need a nights rest.

They have to review their internet service. I was there for five (5) days with Wi-Fi . But their staffers are all excellent.

Considering the bind I was in..This was an affordable option in mid town Hattiesburg next to USM.
