La Quinta by Wyndham Hattiesburg - I-59

The bed was nice and comfortable. Good dog stations. Good amenities. First room had worn and filthy furniture. Moved to another room. Shower looked awful. Stained and moldy. Didn’t use. Toothpaste spattered on wall and mirror frame. Bathroom lights were rusty and looked like they could fall off the wall ( in both rooms). Yes, reasonable dog fee but …..

The place needs a whole new upgrade! The cleaning crew need to be retrained on how to clean! I honestly cant believe that management allows there workers to not do there jobs correctly! Management needs to start actually doing a better job on managing there staff! And getting that place cleaned up! The pool! We tried cleaning it up with the broken skimmer that was sitting outside! Im honestly disappointed on how dirty and rundown the place was! I worked hard to be able to take a vacation and to stay at a hotel! But when its not a clean 1! An its run down! Kinda Disappointing! And the same stuff for breakfast everyday! It kind of gets old! Most likely wont be going back ever!

Most of the staff was pleasant and helpful. One employee had left the front desk, locked the front door and got upset when another guest let us in. Room was nice overall, but cleaning is certainly an issue. Shower had hair and dried boogers on the wall and shower handle. Absolutely disgusting. We opened the window to allow some fresh air in the room to discover a wasp nest in the corner. Phone did not work, TV remote performed poorly, WiFi (while free) was inconsistent. Gym equipment wasn’t completely functional but decent overall. Price was on point but I’ll likely spend more for a cleaner place next time.

Pool needs to be cleaned more. Had a bit of a smell but overall it was clean, felt safe, breakfast was good (minus the waffles) and the staff was super sweet. Would stay again for quick stay.

I stayed four days in Hattiesburg. The check in was easy and the young lady was very pleasant and friendly. The room was nice and clean. The staff did a great job of cleaning every day and were always polite. Breakfast was good nothing to much and again the staff were very polite and friendly. Only drawback was the fitness area. All of the dumbbells were missing and there were no wipes for the equipment. Otherwise it was a good stay.

The front staff was excellent. She was a good communicator and helped me out best she could. The problems were with the lack of internet connection both on my cell phone and laptop and the very poor shower water pressure. Additionally, the room was so hot all night long. I believe the ac system only comes on only with motion detection and at night there is none, so only the fan works. This is unacceptable. Finally, the breakfast was the worst quality crap I've ever had at a LaQuinta hotel. The eggs were microwaved over well eggs, there selection was minimal and the only decent thing on the breakfast were the waffles - which were good. I've stayed at this hotel many times over the years on my trips to Houston from FL, but this will be the last time.

Nice high ceiling made the room feel light and spacious! Free, safe, convenient parking! Helpful And accommodating staff. Small but clean and roomy pool area. Decent, hot breakfast. Great location! Will definitely stay there again!

The front office clerk was extremely nice. The only snag was that I’m traveling with my pet dog. I chose this hotel (filtered dog-friendly). I had to pay an unexpected $25 for my pet. I’m not sure what that was for as the area for my dog to use on the grounds was small and not maintained.

Front desk went above and beyond for special request. Check in staff excellent! Website did not say pool was closed.

The fitness facility was nothing like the pictures show. All the dumbbells were gone leaving an empty rack. The multi-station machine was old and worn out. The only good thing in the entire fitness room was the treadmilll. If you like to workout, do not stay here.

No issues with the Staff at all, they were amazing. The issue is the cleanliness of the hotel. The room was disgusting. Bathroom dirty, toilet dirty, AC was nasty, carpet smells awful, tub was nasty.

The hotel is a bit run down, the rooms were very old and could use some refreshing. The TV was on the fritz and needs replaced. Food left in microwave and used water bottles left. Hair on the floor. Just all around disgusting.

This place grossed me out! Mold in the shower, scratches in the leather headboard, mystery stains EVERYWHERE…on the walls, on the chairs, on the floor…EVERYWHERE! The staff was super nice and accommodating (as they could). The main area seemed nice and it did seem to have a decent breakfast. So there was some upside to the place. But our room was yuck!!

Property was nice. Just had issues with room. We had to sleep on top of the bed and use our own blankets cause the sheets were dirty. They had dirt and long hairs on them

Hotel is VERY dirty. We had our first room switched because the shower clearly hadn’t been cleaned. My mom’s room had food leftover in the fridge, the AC didn’t work, and it just stunk so bad everywhere you went. Area is sketchy and unsafe. Pool is super small and I wouldn’t swim there.

Room was not cleaned well. Roach in the room. Carpet wet on arrival with foul odor. Front desk clerk was very helpful and apologized and was able to change my room.

The bathroom was awful. There was hair in the bathtub. Hair on the towels. The floor hadn’t been swept. Just awful. And for someone with small kids having a clean bathroom - especially bathtub - was very important. I didn’t feel comfortable bathing my kids in that tub.

The first room we were in hadn't been cleaned - the floor hadn't been swept and there were stains in and on the toilet. The second room was cleaner but in poor condition. Average experience maybe for a budget hotel in a small college town.

Mold all over the bathroom. When we checked in we had the front desk bring up a vaccum, as it was clearly not done prior. Bed looked to have been sat on after being made.

Our host greeted us and welcomed us. Check in was smooth and our room seemed fine. When I woke up during the night I found the shower to be dripping constantly. My sleep was restless from that point on. In the morning I discovered the shower could not be turned off passed the point it was and water constantly dripped from the shower head.

Dogs barking all night.

Everyone was very helpful. The beds were great. Shower was very good. A//C noisy and light was flickering in the bathroom. Would have liked hard boiled eggs + more juice choices. Very good value.

The hotel was clean and the staff were polite and helpful. The beds were comfortable. The only problem was the bathtub faucet leaked from the spout and the handle. The tub drain was not glued down so the whole plug mechanism would come out (not the way it was designed).

It was nice for our stay overnight. Only gave 4 stars because needs some upgrades as far as the headboards are vinyl/leather & have wear on them & the bathroom fixtures are rusting some. Other than that it was nice & comfortable.

On a trip with friends for the USM homecoming. The location was great, staff nice and breakfast good. The room not so great. It was in definite need of an update with headboard and lights needing to be replaced. The tv was having issues and some channels had no signal (in particular Fox, which was airing the 1st game of the World Series!)

My room was 57 degrees when we got in around 11 pm. We switched the thermostat to heat at 70 but it never got above 59. The sheets on both beds were so wrinkled we thought they had not been changed. We slept in our clothes and got blankets out of our car. The floors were nasty and there was part of someone’s red weave on the floor. Don’t look like they had been swept in weeks. We notified the front desk and was told management had already been notified.

Property appeared well decorated and looks like it is in good shape. However, room did not show that. Headboard in bad shape, bathroom fixtures not very good (tub drain plug completely removed from tub), tv had bad picture, tv remote only partially worked, air conditioner not adjustable. For what we paid, very disappointing. We normally stay at LaQuinta with our dogs, but may not any longer.

We had an issue with the room that was assigned to us. The front desk associate Joshua was very quick to get us moved to another room. He did this in the middle of a very hectic check-in time as the hotel was completely booked because of several baseball tournaments in Hattiesburg. He was the upmost professional and handled everything quick and efficient. The lady that fixes and does the breakfast each morning is outstanding. Only criticism we would have is that this location could use some updating.

The friendliness of the staff was the highlight of our stay at this La Quinta. Everyone was helpful and accomidating. Would definitely stay here again.

Very very rude & racist lady working at the front desk. Accused an occupant with my party of stealing snacks from the small store in the front lobby. Called the cops and had us removed from the hotel establishment for no apparent reason. Lied & told the cops we were stealing as well. Wouldn’t advise anyone of color to stay here! Will be contacting higher management in regards to filing a complaint & my refund! At check in she was nice enough to wave the pet fee but then lied to her boss like she didn’t know we had a bet! Very dirty & dishonest. Highly disappointed & have been staying here for years! Wouldn’t dare spend another dollar with this establishment! The worker sucks big time!!!!!!

Room was very clean. Beds were so comfortable. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was very good.

We were driving home to Ft Worth TX feom Pensacola FL; my wife, myself and our 2 dogs (chiwawa and Tripod Boxer), pulling an enclosed trailer; somewhere in Mississippi truck issues and couldnt go over 35 mph without issues - LaQuinta is out #1 choice when we travel, the Hattiesburg location was 20 miles away; my wife made a reservation while i limped us there. When we checked in the guy at front desk was awesome and super friendly; he waived the pet fee for my tripod (figured 3 legs would be less risky then 4), room was perfect, everything was as clean and as presentful as expected. We informed them of our truck issues at arrival, kept them informed as we got it to Firestone and eta for repair. Our only complaint was the late checkout - I dropped truck at shop at 9am, walked back, they extended our check out to 12 noon; we decided to book the room another night with no word from shop by 1130a, just in case. Then shop said 3p for pick up time I went to get it, my wife advised them we were leaving at 3p and wouldnt need it for the night they said we still had to pay the whole night rate, they couldnt pro-rate the time, stated manager rules (wouldnt even call rhe manager to see if this woyld qualify as special circumstance. So we ate the cost because we still had 8 more hours to drive, and work at 7am the following day. Overall, we were happy but we disnt get that "cherry ontop".

Stephanie was unable to help me with my early check out process and unable to direct me to someone who could. So denies that they are able to put a receipt under my door overnight. I have to leave early and don't want to come by front desk.

The girl at the front desk at check in (I don’t remember her name but she had bleached hair) was so nice and accommodating. Housekeeping was absolutely wonderful with the room. Couldn’t even tell it was a pet friendly hotel. The girl at checkout was a little all over the place and kept going on about random stuff to the guy checking out before me. I just ended up leaving and asking for an emailed receipt later

The property was located near the main part of the city

Staff is friendly, helpful and polite. I enjoyed my stay and chose the same location on my return trip. Traveled with a pet and she was treated well. Convenient to all kinds of restaurants and gas stations. Location can be tricky to find the parking lot so be sure to use Google maps to guide.

We stop in Hattiesburg on our way to Houston (from Knoxville) many times. We’ve always come back to this facility. It’s pet friendly, clean and comfortable.

Easy to get to from the interstate

Shower didn’t drain and 2nd room had water coming out from under the dresser, and the doors didn’t close without quite a bit of effort. Breakfast selections weren’t refilled timely, we needed to get on the road so ended up leaving without.

Breakfast could be spruced up a little as in more fruit choices and real eggs.

The staff at La Quinta was were so pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was great, the room was clean and give us an overall thumbs up.

Our stay was great. Just passing thru and only stayed 1 night. Room was comfortable, clean and updated. Breakfast was good. Had many hot food options.

Not the nicest or the cleanest, but it’s a La Quinta. Its what you would expect. The staff was friendly and the free breakfast was decent. Eggs, sausage, Bacon , waffles, pastries, milk, juice, the usual continental breakfast spread. It’s quiet in the parking lot was large and seems safe, walkable distance to pharmacy, convenience stores, restaurants.

Snacks are greatly overpriced. Snack Bag of potato chip priced at $3.50!!

I had never stayed at a LaQuinta before so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, the place was very clean and nice. The hot breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage as well as make your own waffles, cereals, oatmeal, yogurts and various breads and muffins.

They didn’t have enough food for breakfast. It was Monday .
