Nicely situated, clean and well appointed rooms, great Shower. nice bar area, nice array of real ales and a pool table. Breakfast was also very nice. Overall a great stay. Will visit again.

Our stay was lovely, the room was adequate in size with a partial see view and was cleaned daily and the bed was comfortable. The meals were cooked to a high standard and the breakfasts very tasty. Great outdoor sitting area and play area for children, very short walk to the sea n beach.

Easy checking but local parking can be difficult as there is none at the pub and road parking is limited. There are a lot of narrow stairs to get to the rooms at the top of the building so make sure you do not have too much luggage. Bed was ok but furniture in the room was cheap and wobbly. Shower pressure low. Location is great with a fantastic walk to Cromer and back along the beach. Food in pub is generally good pub grub and the beer is good.

We only stayed one night. Thoroughly enjoyed it with my eight and ten year old grandchildren plus two dogs. We couldn’t have asked for better as this family group. Lovely garden with play equipment and only a minutes walk from the beach. Food was very good at both evening meal and breakfast.

The room was clean and reasonably well presented. Some paintwork on skirting boards needs touching up, though it was in an area that is likely to suffer a lot of wear and tear, and it did not detract from an otherwise superb stay. Food was excellent and very enjoyable, though the desert menu was a tad expensive, so we only indulged on one of our four nights (we enjoyed three varied evening meals there). And it should be noted that a service charge/tip is added to each food bill. The site does not have sufficient customer parking, so we did what most other customers did and just parked in the street. The staff were helpful and friendly. Location was handy for the beach, and only about five miles from Cromer. For those wanting to travel by public transport, there are excellent bus services from Overstrand to Cromer, Sheringham and beyond, with easy connections to places like Norwich. Overall, a very enjoyable stay, and we would definitely recommend The White Horse.

Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Food was very nice and well presented. Restaurant was nice and clean with a nice ambience. Room could do with sprucing up a bit and a better standard of cleaning, spiders in corners, bathroom a bit shabby, pillows quite hard. TV didn't work but they found a spare one for us. We enjoyed our stay but there's room for improvement.

The breakfast was great - lovely dining room We were given a top floor room - essentially an attic conversion which was difficult to get up to with narrow stairs. Judging by the number of guests other rooms must surely have been available. The shower had black mould around the edges and corners which was surprising as the room and en suite seemed quite newly refreshed.

Had to request music to be turned down as the room we were staying in was right above the bar area and the noise stopped us going to sleep after travelling -apart from that the staff we’re really helpful and friendly and the food was excellent

Staff, room and food were as expected. Problem was that bedroom window catch was broken. On second night during a storm, window continued to open in the wind, blind rattled and sleep interrupted. Solved at 4 am by tying shoes to handle. Mentioned it to chambermaid in the morning, who said they they about it but it hadn't been fixed yet. Obviously been like this for some time.

Nice clean hotel. Good for people with dogs. Breakfast and service was good. Would be good to include a shower cap in the bathroom. Our room was very small, however the hotel was fully booked and luck of the straw I guess. Close to the promenade and sea cafe.

We booked for two adults and an infant and were given such a tiny room that the travel cot barely fit in it. It was on the top floor, and it was so hot that we had to prop the door to the hallway open at the beginning of the night to try to get some air flow, as the window didn't open much and the curtain had to be down as the room was in full sun. Of course we had to close the door at some point as we didn't want anyone to come in and take the baby! There must have been a festival or wedding somewhere nearby as well, as all we heard was the thumping of the bass drum and bass guitar until 11pm that night. Glad we only stayed one night! I'd avoid if you're not travelling alone in winter!

The room needed a bit of tlc, cracked bathroom tiles, basic decor and the bed was very squeaky. It was, however, clean and comfortable. Not many channels on what was a freeview tv. some information in the room about the dinner menu would have been useful too. the staff were lovely and freindly and the breakfast was amazing.

Our 4th or 5th time staying here. We keep coming back as the team are wonderful, the accommodation is good quality, great food in the restaurant, and it's a nice 45 minute walk into Cromer along the beach or cliff top path. We'll be back.

Check in was easy the room was clean and comfortable,breakfast was poor the full English was dry and overcooked and the smoked haddock was tasty and very well cooked and presented but it had two hairs which looked like dog hairs in it which was off putting. Having said that I’d rather have a dog hair than a human hair. We asked for toast and had to remind someone and it came out after we had finished breakfast and it was cold and only 3 triangles for the two of us?? The service I felt was very impersonal and a little poor.

Great stay at the white horse, we only atayed one night but the room was amazing and very worth the money. Great friendly staff and the food was great as we had dinner and breakfast! Child and super dog friendly too, very close to beach less than 10mins by foot perfect location. With only a 10mins drive to cromer pier.

Nice clean hotel. Good for people with dogs. Breakfast and service was good. Would be good to include a shower cap in the bathroom. Our room was very small, however the hotel was fully booked and luck of the straw I guess. Close to the promenade and sea cafe.

Chose for location, along the North Norfolk Coastal path. Nice room with lots of amenities. Good breakfast, with choices other than just a full English.

The room was clean and reasonably well presented. Some paintwork on skirting boards needs touching up, though it was in an area that is likely to suffer a lot of wear and tear, and it did not detract from an otherwise superb stay. Food was excellent and very enjoyable, though the desert menu was a tad expensive, so we only indulged on one of our four nights (we enjoyed three varied evening meals there). And it should be noted that a service charge/tip is added to each food bill. The site does not have sufficient customer parking, so we did what most other customers did and just parked in the street. The staff were helpful and friendly. Location was handy for the beach, and only about five miles from Cromer. For those wanting to travel by public transport, there are excellent bus services from Overstrand to Cromer, Sheringham and beyond, with easy connections to places like Norwich. Overall, a very enjoyable stay, and we would definitely recommend The White Horse.

We have stayed here 4 or 5 times now, and it's always a pleasure. A great team of people, good accommodation and food and a fantastic location. Nice selection of beer's too if that's your thing. Only 5 minutes to the beach for a swim and 45 minutes along the beach to Cromer. We'll be back.

Check in was easy the room was clean and comfortable,breakfast was poor the full English was dry and overcooked and the smoked haddock was tasty and very well cooked and presented but it had two hairs which looked like dog hairs in it which was off putting. Having said that I’d rather have a dog hair than a human hair. We asked for toast and had to remind someone and it came out after we had finished breakfast and it was cold and only 3 triangles for the two of us?? The service I felt was very impersonal and a little poor.

Stayed in one of the two refurbished rooms and found nothing to fault. Very nicely executed upgrade and better than most of the hotels I have stayed in Norfolk. Well done. Good breakfast and genuinely dog friendly with polite dogs and their owners. All in all a great night away.
