I really like the stay at Avalon Hotel. Great people, great swimming pool with a paronamic view area. The room was very nice and spacious. It has however potential for the renovation, but for the price was really nice and also very very clean!

Secured a room on short notice after original plans fell through and was happy with our stay. The pool and its view were wonderful. Breakfast was great and staff were kind. Decor was a bit outdated and the hotel is up a hill - otherwise, all good.

Great location. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view of the sea. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. Very close to the city centre and they have a free shuttle to take you back and forth if you don’t have your own transportation. We had a later flight so we were able to stay by the beautiful pool and shower after we checked out. The property is very clean but room washrooms could use some updating.

De lokatie is prachtig, boven op een heuvel met uitzicht over zee en stad. Het gebouw en de kamer was wel toe aan een upgrade, ook was onze kamer voor 3 personen niet groot. Het ontbijt had beperkt assortiment en er zat geen variatie in per dag. Het personeel is aardig en behulpzaam zoals de chauffeur van de shuttlebus en de barkeeper. Het is lekker rustig in het hotel (Adults Only) en rondom het zwembad ligt het prima al zou een upgrade daar (bedjes, parasols) ook niet overbodig zijn.

This hotel was a great value for the price. Good location close to Zakynthos old town, easy to get to via car, and a suitable buffet breakfast. The view is also incredible overlooking the bay and the town. Property is older but has charm. Would stay again!

Quite mediocre, nothing but bare necessities and even those are nothing to write home about. My room had ants, shower curtain was made up of a weird material that kept sticking to me and was hardly effective - floor was soaked after each shower. There’s no option to ask the cleaning staff to “do not disturb”. Only beer option is Mythos for 5 euro?! Best part about my room was that the AC worked well and there is a fridge.

Very nice staff, but the hotel needs serious renovations. The bathroom is moldy and not descaled. All the water is from the sea and extremely salty. We used bottled water to wash off the salt after bath. The breakfast has a large variety but extremely poor quality and taste. I only had watermelons and bought coffee (espresso) from the bar.

I will never, never stay ever again at Avalon because of the dirty rooms, old rooms. The ants walked in the all room also in our bed. The fridge was covered in rust, the bathroom, the was mold, the airconditioning was dirty etc. I made pictures of it. I will publish them on facebook and LinkedIn. But the responsibility is on EXPEDIA. I paid a lot of money for it and Expedia, after 3 calls, said the the hotel is not agreeing with a refund! SCANDALOUS!!!

Receptionist was unbelievably rude, spoke badly about us unaware that we understand her. Did not respect 'Do Not Disturb' signs. Services included in reservation (included dinners, breakfasts, welcome drinks, water bottles, etc) needed to be specifically asked for and at times disputed. If you can stay anywhere else, do. We stayed here during OFF/ SLOW season so there is no excuse for the lack of service/ cleanliness.

This hotel is not a 4 stars.. We had the Suite Private Pool. The room was fine but there were lot of problems. The rain shower isn’t working good. The second TV in the sofa didn’t work. The lights in the pool didn’t work neither! We told to the reception but never had been repaired! We asked for a bottle of Prosecco in the room but they said no room service. For a four stars hotel this is so bad!!!

Can’t beat the beautiful view of Zante town and the water!!! Staff very friendly and helpful! Quiet spot but convenient location to travel around island with a car. Bathrooms could use a renovation, mini fridge worked but door broken.

The view was spectacular! Rooms are small, especially if you are traveling with large bags. Staff in lobby were very friendly, the van driver that took us into town, not so much. He was rather abrasive. We were only here 1 night as a stopping point before we could check in to our not stop.

I wasn’t overly impressed with this hotel. You get what you pay for. The photos and reviews definitely looked better than I expected. It’s fine if you’re just looking for a cheap place to sleep although the beds are pretty hard. Rooms can use updating. I was in a mountain view room which was actually a view of the parking lot.

The view was spectacular! Rooms are small, especially if you are traveling with large bags. Staff in lobby were very friendly, the van driver that took us into town, not so much. He was rather abrasive. We were only here 1 night as a stopping point before we could check in to our not stop.

Receptionist was unbelievably rude, spoke badly about us unaware that we understand her. Did not respect 'Do Not Disturb' signs. Services included in reservation (included dinners, breakfasts, welcome drinks, water bottles, etc) needed to be specifically asked for and at times disputed. If you can stay anywhere else, do. We stayed here during OFF/ SLOW season so there is no excuse for the lack of service/ cleanliness.

Nice view and the place where the hotel is located is perfect to see the island. But you need a car or quad. It is to far to go to the city by foot. The breakfast is very standard. Not good but also not bad, fresh handmade coffee or fresh juice would be very positive.

Secured a room on short notice after original plans fell through and was happy with our stay. The pool and its view were wonderful. Breakfast was great and staff were kind. Decor was a bit outdated and the hotel is up a hill - otherwise, all good.

Great location. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view of the sea. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. Very close to the city centre and they have a free shuttle to take you back and forth if you don’t have your own transportation. We had a later flight so we were able to stay by the beautiful pool and shower after we checked out. The property is very clean but room washrooms could use some updating.

De lokatie is prachtig, boven op een heuvel met uitzicht over zee en stad. Het gebouw en de kamer was wel toe aan een upgrade, ook was onze kamer voor 3 personen niet groot. Het ontbijt had beperkt assortiment en er zat geen variatie in per dag. Het personeel is aardig en behulpzaam zoals de chauffeur van de shuttlebus en de barkeeper. Het is lekker rustig in het hotel (Adults Only) en rondom het zwembad ligt het prima al zou een upgrade daar (bedjes, parasols) ook niet overbodig zijn.

This hotel was a great value for the price. Good location close to Zakynthos old town, easy to get to via car, and a suitable buffet breakfast. The view is also incredible overlooking the bay and the town. Property is older but has charm. Would stay again!

Very nice staff, but the hotel needs serious renovations. The bathroom is moldy and not descaled. All the water is from the sea and extremely salty. We used bottled water to wash off the salt after bath. The breakfast has a large variety but extremely poor quality and taste. I only had watermelons and bought coffee (espresso) from the bar.
