Probably the best hostel our group stayed at during our trip to Iceland. Everything is very neat, there are plenty of shared restrooms and showers, which are also very clean. The shared kitchen is awesome, with everything you could possibly need. The lady running the hostel was also so kind and helpful and there even exists a drying room in the basement which we took full advantage after arriving here after a particularly rainy day. The only slight negative is the high price of the laundry which ran almost 20 USD for a single load of washer/dryer but other than that this place is awesome.

this a a very nice BIg hotel works like a perfect tune machine. everything was super clean and in well shape. the only down side which is a personal thing is that since is a big hostal went is full the kitchen and common areas can get crowded

This was a nice hostel in a good area. The only thing to be aware of is that you need to take off your shoes any time you are inside, you may want to bring slippers/flip flops to wear while indoors. Also, they have multiple fridges but the freezer is only accessible by the staff so they have to be on site for you to put things in or take things out of the freezer.

Very clean property. We were a little skeptical to stay in hostel, ie sharing bathroom and kitchen, but it went very well. There are enough bathrooms and the kitchen is big enough for multiple families to share. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

By far the best hostel I’ve stayed in. Very well equipped kitchen, 3 sinks, 3 stove/ovens, plenty of cookware! The place was very clean and staff were friendly. Very modern with lots of upgrades.

Neu renoviert mit gutem Schallschutz, in den Zimmern war es sehr ruhig. Jedes Zimmer hat ein Waschbecken und die Gemeinschaftsduschen sind groß und abschließbar. In der Küche kann es zu Stoßzeiten etwas voll werden, ist ein großes Hostel, daher auch viele Gruppen. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Gletscher, Lagune, Diamond Beach usw.

We had a great time and fully enjoyed the HUGE kitchen assortment of pots and pans and utensils. The bathrooms are shiny new and impeccable conditions. We stayed in a basement room with 6 beds and the air got a bit stuffy by the morning, but we kept the window a bit open to freshen up. We enjoyed the free mini golf on the water nearby, the public pool and the few restaurants in town to try langoustine. We definitely recommend it.

The place is definitely new. Everything was very clean and nice. I had a suite so it was nice having a private bathroom. Laundry is quite expensive 2,500kr for 1 load. Overall I had a good stay.

This was probably one of the best hostels we've ever stayed in. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and everywhere was spotless. Washing facilities were expensive but easy to access. There was a faint odour in our room and it's a bit chilly to open the window to air it out in winter, but this wasn't a huge issue. Parking was free and convenient.

La stanza aveva odore forte di muffa (probabilmente causato dal fatto della moquette in camera con anche un lavandino), appena arrivati l’abbiamo fatto notare alla receptionist che ci ha risposto che loro aprono sempre le stanze per arieggiare e che quasi sicuramente erano i nostri vestiti. (cosa non vera avendo lasciato le scarpe all’entrata e avendo le giacche totalmente asciutte)… anche il corridoio che collegava le stanze al bagno aveva lo stesso identico odore ma leggermente meno forte. La cucina era ben attrezzata e il servizio lavanderia viene 2500kr

We stayed one night with four adults in a room with a private bathroom. Bathroom and shower were very nice. The room was a bit tight with luggage but we were able to make it work. The kitchen facilities were good with lots of seating for eating a meal. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

I had a private room with my own washroom. It was lovely and clean. The bathroom was spacious and the shower had plenty of hot water (that was desperately needed after all of the hiking and driving that day). The kitchen had everything needed to make food and the lady at reception was really nice. I would stay here again.

I have used this hostel three times from 2023 to this year, and I think it has the best kitchen facilities among the cities in the south, including Höfn, Selfoss, and Vik. So it is very convenient and useful to cook and eat. The bathroom and shower are also clean and almost the best. However, if you bring a large suitcase, the double room may be inconvenient because there is not enough space to put the suitcase. However, it is safe to say that there are few accommodations in Höfn with the best facilities for the price as this hostel. 2023년부터 올해까지 세 번 이 호스텔을 이용했는데 회픈 뿐만 아니라 셀포스, 비크 등 남부의 도시 가운데 주방 시설이 가장 좋은 곳이 아닌가 생각된다. 그래서 음식을 조리해서 먹는데 상당히 편리하고 유용하다. 화장실과 샤워실 상태도 깨끗하고 거의 최상일 정도로 좋다. 다만 큰 캐리어를 가지고 올 경우 2인실은 캐리어를 둘 공간이 부족하려 불편할 수 있다. 하지만 회픈에서 이 호스텔만큼 가격 대비 시설이 좋은 숙박 시설은 거의 없다고 해도 좋을 것이다.

Clean and modern property. Great kitchen setup! Bathrooms are extremely clean (if used first in the morning…can’t speak for other guests). Sometimes the door locks (electric) will make a short buzzing noise, doors from kitchen can be heard at night. (Bring earplugs) Overall great place to stay, highly recommend.

Family of 4 travelling on the ring road circle. We arrived very late and the staff is kind enough to leave us key cards and note to enter the room. Facilities are modern and very clean. Community kitchen area is well equipped. I would suggest to have an additional toaster as everyone’s waiting for the one toaster in the morning to toast their bread. We had a great night of sleep. Would highly recommend this place!

Incredible property. Reception stayed late to accommodate an unplanned late check in for not additional cost. Immaculately clean, tidy, and organized. Would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Höfn.

I would consider this the BEST place I stayed at on my Ring Road trip in Iceland. Spotless, super clean rooms. Nice kitchen with fridge, stoves, toaster, and sinks. Property is in a very quiet area. Lots of parking to be had outside. A 24 hour N1 Gas Station is super close to the property so you can walk there for snacks & coffee if you'd like. You can also walk a little further up the road and go to Netto for basic groceries. I honestly don't have a single negative thing to say about this property.

There is free car park just outside the hostel. You will have a basin in each room which is good. The price is affordable. The facility is clean and comfortable. The cons is the surrounding is not dark enough to watch for northern light.

New property with all the amenities including a deck and two propane BBQ’s. Spacious shared areas and bedrooms. Beautiful area, great walking town with pathway on the waterfront and golf course. Friendly staff! Awesome place to stay!

Kamers zijn precies groot genoeg. Wij konden alle bagage goed meenemen. Hadden een 5 persoonskamer voor ons gezin. 2 stapelbedden en 1 los bed. Totaal 2 badkamers en 1 wc voor alle gasten.
