We had no complaints about the room, just a nice quiet place to spend the night despite being close to the ring road. Breakfast is included and was very nice. The receptionists are friendly and wifi works without issues. Parking is not a problem as there is a big parking lot available.

This was our 2nd time staying at Hotel Jokull and would definitely stay again. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. There were 3 adults and we never felt cramped in the triple room. Breakfast was great. The area is beautiful and only a short drive to Höfn. We highly recommend staying here.

The bathroom was horrible. It had the smallest sink I’ve ever seen, fit for a prison cell. The shower had a flimsy curtain around it so the water got everywhere in the bathroom, had to use towels to soak up water. The room had flies and I overheard another guest complain about flies in her room.

Pleasant basic hotel with clean rooms. Not much else you need in a hotel. Windows don’t open apart from a tiny central bit which is all as well since the wind would have ripped the main windows off their hinges!

This hotel was clean and an easy spot to stop right off the highway for a night which was nice ! Staff were super friendly and helpful and ver reasonably priced Private bathroom shower design makes the entire bathroom get wet when turned on, and also the hotel was quite noisy. You could hear every door open/close and every conversation in the hall or the rooms beside.

Fantastic hotel, spacious bedroom with two beds and were easily pushed together. Linen was crisp and clean. The room was warm and welcoming. The bathroom, although shared, was super clean and the water was really warm! The restaurant served great food and the breakfast was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place to any traveler.

My expectations based on the photos was different - but on second look, the published and carefully framed photos are from the property. So at first I was disappointed by what appeared to be an aging 1970s concrete building. However, the interior is modern and furnished with a good eye for interior design. The breakfast is great and the service very good. Our room (213) had poor ventilation and I would make sure not to book 213 or 211. We saw the interior of other rooms from the hallway and those were very nice. I would recommend this and stay here again.

I want to especially mention the great staff. It appears to be family staffed with the owner, Artur, manning the daytime reception. He was a great gentleman and very helpful giving information on local sights to see. When our next stop at Media Luna Guesthouse in Seydisfjördur went bad because we were not given the check-in codes until very, very late, it was an easy decision to stay a third night at Hotel Jokull. This is a great place to view the nearby Vesturahorn range, Skutafoss, and the Red Chair.

Our experience with this location to be a good one. The room was fine, the WC was nearby and all was good. The breakfast was very good and they were dealing with two buses of people, including a really rude female tour guide that barged into the kitchen and was making what we felt were unjustified complaints and demands. we have travelled by ourselves and with small group tours and have never had a tour guide act so inappropriately - fussing and being rude about non-issues. The hotel staff handled it respectfully. We would stay here again.

Room very pleasant & spacious. Bedding not great, two single quilts covering 3 single beds pushed together ! Location about 5 miles out of hofn, coach trips staying not great as all arrive & leave at same time, Breakfast really poor, only hint of hot was the coffee & toaster, really anniying as made to pay extra for this, booked thru hotels.com, well over £200 per night, hotel site said breakfast complimentary- but it seems not if Expedia related, location too remote to go elsewhere when on tight schedule.
