The room was clean and comfortable, but very hot, with just a small fan to cool it down. Not even with the windows open it help. Good parking facilities. The staff at the reception was more interested with the mobile phone than signing guests in. Breakfast was adequate.

My experience at the lodge was ok. I must say that when you stay at a hotel or lodge you have a basic state of expectations. A descaled shower head and a non rusty shower rail in the bathroom. Unfortunately I didn't sleep well for the two days I was there due to the mattress and pillows being too soft. I however understood that this down to an individual's preference. There was an offer of breakfast which was only toast, cereal and a hot drink - tea or coffee. I would have preferred a cooked breakfast on offer but I can see they may not have the facilities for this. Glad there was adequate parking. It is off the A5 so expect some traffic noise. Overall we had a bed for the weekend and it was an adventure.

All interactions with staff were very pleasant. Breakfast basic, but adequate - toast, cereals, juice, hot drinks. Nice view of fields from room. Bed comfortable. Slight road noise from A5, but not intrusive at night, and of course the easy access onto the A5 is convenient. Note, this hotel is on edge of Hockliffe, not in Leighton Buzzard or Dunstable. Very few other local amenities. Handy Indian Restaurant adjoining - The food was tasty, service OK, but note no alcoholic drinks served.

Easy to find with plenty of parking. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Free WiFi. Fans had been provided for the hot weather. The beds were very soft and not the most comfortable. Would benefit from a revamp and detailed clean.
