Our room at the inn was lovely and well appointed, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue is that we were there during some of the hottest days in English history, and the room lacked effective air condition, so that it was very warm. There was a fan, which helped as the temperature fell during the night. The breakfasts were very hearty, although lacking in fresh fruit.

Just wanted to give a little feedback after staying with you for my birthday weekend (1/5/26-4/5/26). Initial thoughts the room was lovely, however the sewage smell all weekend was a lot even with a bouquet of flowers in the room. Food - unfortunately this was the let down of the stay. Having arrived on my birthday and looking at menu online was looking forward to a steak. Unfortunately this was not an option on night, we paid £24 for chicken thighs that were dry and did not come with carrots as advertised. I did not want to bring this up on the night as you seemed busy and did not want to put a downer on this. I have to say I was disappointed and did spoil my birthday a little. Breakfast on Saturday was dreadful for us both, but again everyone seemed to be working hard and we wanted to make our own minds up as we have several friends in Milton. On the whole we would say the setting is lovely, as are the rooms but the sewage smell made us not want to spend time there. Food also was a let down, especially as I had checked ahead for my birthday. I hope that you do not take this feedback negatively as we spend a lot of time in the area and would hope to return. It was a shame a few things made my birthday weekend negative. It would be great if you could have some reasonably priced bar snacks rather than what felt overpriced and substandard mains. Also a consistent breakfast as we struggled with overcooked and strange tasting sausage on day one.

Lovely place and surroundings are beautiful. It could do with a little updating, and if you’re looking for Wi-Fi, you could be sorely disappointed. The breakfast menu is very limited and Service slightly lacking in this area.
