It needs renovating, loose/ uneven paving slabs throughout which make for a real hazard... i even got electrocuted in the jacuzzi... nonchalant response when pointed out

Great hotel got a nice upgrade also bottle of prosecco and a cake for our anniversary Didnt like the barcode booking service for alacart i followed the advice given but wouldn't let me book the grill annoyed really as it was for my wifes 70th birthday pool area has many loose and broken tiles otherwise great surprise for my wife

Beautiful property, very comfortable rooms, great service - lovely staff! and the food was a nice variety and very good. Wine and beer also very good. (The all inclusive drinks were a little watery and syrupy.) the free solar powered "shutttle boat" to the beach was great- and the beach is a gem! The spa facility was also very nice with a hot tub, a warm pool, a dry sauna and a wet sauna. The only thing that was a little frustrating was that people got up early and reserved all of the lounge chairs- without showing up for hours. We were told not to do that. So we couldn't get a good chair until after 2:30 most days (unless we got up early and did the same thing- which we didn't). We enjoyed the beach, and then went to the pool in the afternoons. But we would highly recommend this place and definitely stay here again!

The food range was quite repetitive and the buffet could be cleaned on a more regular basis during service as there was a lot of stains and silt food. The pool area was also a bit unhygienic as there were a large volume of seagulls swimming in the pool with no attempt to discourage this, washing themselves and poohing. There was also a large number of sun loungers covered in bird pooh which was not very nice and should be cleaned on a more regular basis. There was no iron had you have to pay for laundry service to get your clothes which was quite expensive.

We enjoyed our 3-night stay at the resort. The check-in was seamless and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend renting a vehicle, as the resort is quite aways from dining (other than resort options). Parking in the outside parking lot was free, as well as street parking. Parking underground was 12 euros per night. In October, we had no trouble finding a spot outside. The room was in the smaller side, but neat, clean and comfortable. Yes, there were a few ants in the bathroom, but it was understandable given the somewhat remote location close to nature. I would recommend bringing insect repellant, even in October, if you plan to eat outside in the evenings. The breakfasts were pretty good, with lots of options. We had the dinner buffet the first night for 29 euros per person - but for every other lunch and dinner, we went into Tavira or Faro. There were much better options with 4.8/5.0 reviews on google that were tastier and less expensive. If you have a choice, eat outside the resort. That being said, we would definitely stay here again. We did the yoga and the paddle boarding and enjoyed both activities. The yoga was very basic and certainly no comparison to yoga in any major North American city, but the beach was lovely. The paddleboards were the inflatable kind but I got the opportunity to work on my balance and their drag made sure I got a workout in. The resort is comparable to a 4.5 star resort in Mexico.

Hôtel offrant différentes prestations : très belle piscine extérieure avec un nombre suffisant de transat et un cadre reposant; spa et piscine intérieure chauffée; salle de sport; salles avec télévision; quelques petites attentions très appréciables : huîtres le midi au bar pour déguster avec votre apéritif; une fleur offerte à chaque dame le samedi; champagne et gâteau servis en chambre le jour de votre anniversaire… peu d’activité proposée mais cela est peut-être dû au fait que nous étions hors saison en octobre. Restauration excellente avec des plats variés et différents à chaque service; possibilité d’un dîner gastronomique sur réservation. Chambre très propre ( comme tout l’hôtel); excellente literie; bouilloire, thé et bouteilles d’eau à disposition (1 à température ambiante et 1 au réfrigérateur). We arrived just before midnight, the staff at the reception had our two adjacent rooms ready as per our request. We loved the facilities, pools, sauna, jacuzzi, fitness center. We used massage facility, hot stone massage lady (Leanne) was brilliant. The breakfast bars have everything you can ask for, loved it. The Sheff (Naeem) even cooked us vegetable omelet on our request. Loved the terrace space and pool. We visited sea four times during our 9 days stay. It was very convenient with 2min Solar boat, best experience. The staff at the facility were very polite and always there to help you. I would rate the property 5 start and would definitely visit again.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good range of facilities and I enjoyed the aqua aerobics which was free. The rooms were really lovely. Nice hot showers and beautiful smelling body wash. We enjoyed a little adventure to the beach. It isn't the easiest to get to and big waves, but we preferred the pool. Would recommend.

Really lovely modern and clean hotel. In a quiet area but walkable to some restaurants and a shop. Lovely walk into Tavira right next to the hotel along a cycle path near the river and salt sections. We went in November so the local village/town which about a 10 min walk is probably busier in the summer as it was very quiet. Nice and pleasant entertainment in the evening with a nice bar. Lovely breakfast with a wide range of options. Spa is great. Large hot tub, heated pool, sauna and steam room. The spa was a lot busier than we anticipated. Nice and clean. No lockable lockers. Had to put a deposit down for towels at the hotel reception. We noticed people with robes and slippers but we didn’t have any. Not sure if this is because of the room we stayed in or why it was. The room was small but nice and clean. Bed was very comfy with soft sheets. Nice shower but one morning we couldn’t get any hot water from it which made the shower unpleasant. Other days it was a great temperature. Nice size bathroom. Good lighting in room and bathroom. Nice private balcony. Lots of storage for clothes. Handcream, handwash, shower cap and shampoo, shower gel and conditioner (in one bottle) included. I missed having a box of tissues available. Two complimentary bottles of water included. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Lovely views and well maintained grounds.

Wonderful 9 days! Staff were amazing, resort clean, beds very comfortable. Due to time of year not all services were available which was a bit of a disappointment but understandable. Would highly recommend this resort!

Lots of space.super clean

It was okay but rooms are small and not a lot of space to move around with luggage open. Not enough hooks or bars to put towels or hang up clothes in the washroom. Badly designed. Elevators have a foul stench. Towels are frayed. Definitely 3 star at best, not 4 star as advertised. Also had ants in our room.

The property is great. It’s beautiful and in a beautiful location, it just needs a bit of maintenance in the private spaces and with little things. For example, the chair clothes on the lounges both outside in the patio and by the outdoor pool on the rooftop on the 3rd floor could do with some regular cleaning so could the white chairs in the spa area. There are some other tiny maintenance issues like wood pieces missing or peeled from different area. Toiletries could be replaced more frequently for example shower caps are not replaced but you are only provided with a flimsy one to start with, the towels and bedding’s could be better and replaced more frequently and soap in the communal toilets at the reception could be refilled more frequently and bigger glasses for drinking water. Asides these minor things this place is fantastic. It is beautiful, the food is great and the staff could not do more to be welcoming and make us feel warm - the staff were excellent. We came for some rest in a serene idyllic spot and we got exactly this. Thank you AP Cabanas Nature and Resort. We hope to come back and will definitely be telling friends and family to come here for a nice relaxing stay.

This property is terrible! The pictures look stunning online, however, management has let this place go downhill severely as today it appears like a dirty, run-down version of the pictures. Our room had mold, ants, springtails, dirty walls, stained curtains, dirty floors, and our balcony furniture was covered in bird droppings. Bird droppings were frequent everywhere on the property (especially on windows and all around the rooftop pool), and often the hallways had musty smells permeating the area (which could explain the mold we found). Avoid this properly like the plague and don't be fooled by the pictures!

We were upgraded to an ocean front room with wrap around balcony. It was an amazing view and so peaceful. We loved it.

Whole property was a bit tired. Roof above our balcony was falling down and windows in our room didn’t appear to have recently been cleaned. The only dining option was a buffet restaurant, all other dining facilities closed. Location however naturally beautiful.

Die Unterkunft ist echt wunderschön. In der Nebensaison ist es super ruhig und man kann alle Annehmlichkeiten des Hotels wunderbar nutzen. Die Zimmer sind gross und geräumig, mit Balkon und wunderschöner Aussicht. Es gibt mehrere Outdoor Pools und für kalte Tage auch einen Indoor Pool!

Great adult hotel in a beautiful location. Strange bathroom with glass wall into bedroom and thin curtain covering it. Also no tissues and tea/coffee not replaced for 2nd day. Having to pay 10 Euros deposit for beach towel was strange. Bar staff were slow and need training. Tried to serve white port in tumbler with ice and had to wait 10 mins for them to find a bottle of vihno verde. However despite these slight irritations, we would definitely return.

We had a Ria view room with lovely views, especially as the weather was good. We liked the fact that the hotel is very tranquil at this time of year. Although the rooms are not spacious it was a very comfortable large bed, bottled water and fridge in the room. The food was of a very good standard and a reasonable range of options. Staff all professional and friendly.Hoping to return next year.

Zimmer sehr klein. Schrankaufteilung ungünstig, da sich in diesem auch der Zugang zur Technik befindet. Kaum Fächer für Kleidung sowie nur eine Kleiderstange für kurze Kleidung. Man lebt aus dem Koffer. Terrasse mit Blick auf den Fluss war sehr schön. Frühstück war ok aber nicht mehr. Säfte zuckersüß, künstlich, grauenvoll. Das Hotel hat leider eine „All In“ Atmosphäre. Für Gäste, die ihren Urlaub überwiegend am Pool verbringen wollen ist es ok. Zum Strand über den Fluss mit dem Boot. Keine Gastronomie oder Toiletten am nächsten Strandabschnitt. Wir würden dort keinen Urlaub mehr verbringen wollen. Kein Vergleich zur Südwestalgarve.

We loved there were no children around, peaceful and quiet. The spa, the gym and the Rooftop bar are a must. Somthing to improve: I was lying on my bed and the tv controller needed new batteries. Fantastic stay here, the staff are a credit to the organisation and were a pleasure to interact with. Great relaxing few days in the sun, easy to get to nearby beaches and the local town. Can’t fault a thing

We stayed in 2024 and the resort has gone downhill quite a bit since then. Not enough staff on the bars so regularly end up queueing for longer than necessary. When there were enough staff, one would be serving whilst the rest busied themselves cutting fruit rather than clearing the queue Bizarre decision to change the roof top bar opening time to 5pm - whoever had that idea shouldn’t be making decisions Food nowhere near as good as 2024 in the main restaurant Reported broken glass outside a lift three times, still didn’t get clear till the following day It’s a nice hotel, some nice staff, but some poor choices mean it’s not as good as it was in 2024

Beautiful and luxurious resort hotel with fabulous amenities. Terrific buffet breakfast. Rooftop patio bar is amazing. We would definitely stay here again but a car is needed.

The hotel is nice but location is not convenient. There is nothing around. You have to drive at least 6km to find a restaurant or cafe. There is not enough outside parking. All parking within hotel complex are full. You have to park on roadside far away. Also the road leading to the hotel is very narrow and lots of cars parked on roadsides, have to drive carefully to avoid knocking other cars.

Wir haben zu Zweit (50J) eine tolle Woche verbracht. Für alle Altersbereiche ein tolles Hotel. Besonders gefallen hat uns der Pianospieler beim Frühstücken und der DJ spätnachmittags, der immer ein paar Beats unter die tolle Songauswahl gemischt hat. Bis zum Strand sind es 600m zu Fuß und dann 2min Solarboot. Bis zur Stadt sind es auch 10min zu Fuß, also etwas abseits. Einzige Herausforderung ist das Parken, die Straße ist zugestellt mit Autos, es hat aber trotzdem jeden Tag irgendwie geklappt.

Das perfekte Hotel für Paare, die Ruhe suchen. Alles neu, sehr sauber, schöner Pool! Unbedingt mit Mietwagen anreisen, denn fußläufig gibt es nicht Viel um das Hotel herum.

Dining options were wonderful, rooftop bar, and rooftop pool or fantastic My favorite part was the spa area with the sauna steam room and whirlpool, hot tub and pool indoor Sunsets were magnificent and our little ride in a boat across the inlet to the walk to the Ocean was very peaceful in nature. The value for all the amenities was over the top. I would definitely book more than three nights there next time on my next visit to Portugal. Well, done

Nice property, lovely pool area, short walk to free transfer by boat to beautiful empty beach, decent gym, good quality drinks, roof top music bar, ..food a little limited and repetitive and had a few tummy issues while there, but you can walk into cabanas for other food options if needed (approx 10 mins)….popular with large golf groups.

My wife and I stayed for a few days with the all inclusive package. It was perfect for us - good selection of food and we were never left hungry. The a la carte restaurant was excellent and the staff were attentive throughout the resort.

I’ll start with the good things. Property is beautiful. Plenty of chairs around the pool, always found seating no matter the time of day. Rooftop bar is great. The beach was amazing although it was quite the hike. Now for the bad. Most of employees don’t understand English. Especially bar tenders. Was always a surprise what drink you would get. About half the time didn’t get what you ordered. Food, average at best. The grill by the pool was disgusting. Hamburgers that were raw, not cooked at all and hotdogs that sat in water all day and were like mush. Buffet was ok but food was very bland. Not a lot of gluten free options. A lot of fried and breaded foods. Grill restaurant served a whole mackerel not descaled or gutted. Definitely not a 4 star resort.

Great second stay this year in this hotel. Overall it is very good but if you like your cooked breakfast, be warned that it’s almost cold every day. We did tell the staff but nothing changed. We hoped when we returned that things may have changed after the busy new year period but the breakfast is still the same. I’m not sure on other meals as we were b&b only.
