TV remote had power but would not work with the TV. Internet yielded a privacy error for all sites, on laptop and phone. Breakfast dreadful: only instant coffee, juice tasted like weak cordial, poached eggs hard and avocado pureed and tasteless, not smashed.

Where to begin. I arrived after 8pm and was given my room key and room number. The accommodation block is not part of the reception so I walked over and tried to enter the room. Eventually the door opened and I was greeted by a couple in bed enjoying an early night. Not sure who was most embarrassed. Went back to reception and was given a new room & key which didn’t work, so back I went to the reception & Manager returned to room with me & new key and could only get in with her master key. I was let in and unpacked. 10 minutes later, manager returned and now not even her master key could open the door so I was moved to the only other available room a very smelly family room with obvious drain issues. Breakfast the following morning not great and when I asked for coffee rather than Nescafé Sachets, I was told I had to pay for a machine coffee. Not a great experience and I doubt I will return.

Good hotel in Aberystwyth, good location just outside the centre. The Inn is a rooms only block next to the restaurant. Room itself was basic but the essentials were very good ie. Cleanliness, comfy bed, air conditioning, range of pillows ensuite facilities.

This is a small hotel located within easy walking distance of "downtown." It is basic but nice and the staff are great. There is a restaurant/pub across the parking lot where you check in. There is also a park with a walking trail behind the hotel that leads to the city centre.

Clean, well presented accommodation. Plenty of parking, free of charge and directly outside rooms. Easy check in and check out. Pub on site offering food - very friendly and helpful staff. A little walk into town, probably a good 10 minutes. However, can drive in and out as parking plentiful. Only £6 for taxi right to the sea front. Would stay again

Friendly staff very nice room huge super king size bed Very comfy the room has climate control so set it as you wish. Plenty of free parking. Bar stock was a bit low but it is October. Food is really good. The bed was so very comfy would certainly stay here again.

Not so good we was covered in bed bug bites hair in the bathroom and not very clean hotel and the breakfast was a shambles not enough staff kept asking for replemishments

Have stayed here a number of times . Staff always friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and well presented, but some ( and areas of the main pub building) are starting to show signs of age and could do with a gentle refurbishment to bring them back up to their previously good standard.

Staff very friendly, can’t fault them. Room very nice and basic. Rooms across car park in separate building. Clean and basic, ok room. Floor in bathroom very squishy and uneven. Heating didn’t work and it was freezing. Lady on reception very kindly offered to come and look at it but we decided not to stay the night, not the hotels fault at all, but bad weather due at home so wanted to travel back before snow fell heavy.

Stormy weather closed in from the West and we chose this hotel as a halfway point between home and our destination to break the journey. The following morning, staff were very friendly and helpful looking up local weather and road reports for us and offering to extend our stay if needs be. The restaurant was very pleasant, the food well presented and tasty.

Not a great start. Had to wait at least 10 minutes at reception over in the pub to cjeck in. The receptionist wasbmakong and seving hot drinks in the bar. Despite asking another barmaid.was.told.to wait at reception and was then ignored. Room was a.little dated and worn but adequate for our one night stay. The breakfast service in the pub by a male server was excellent and food quality was good .

On my return to room on 2nd day found the door open and my belonings in secure. I dont think a yone other than housekeeping entered the room. The door would not swing close and lock. Needed to be pulled to close. I found this on first entering, so houseleeping must have known.

We love staying at Starling Cloud. Check in is quick and easy. Our room was of a very good standard, as usual - clean and comfortable. The bathroom also was clean and well equipped.

Value for money. Room comfortable and clean. Next door to the Starling Cloud, Marston's, and evening meals and breakfast choices were very good, food tasty and enjoyable and good value. Staff, including Manager, could not do enough to make our stay worth every penny. Definitely will be back.

The room was great - huge comfy bed, clean & comfortable. I wouldnt have hesistated to stay here agin if it werent for a horrible interaction with a staff member at breakfast. Staff absolutely need some customer service training & the manager needs to support them with this.

We didn't eat other than breakfast which was absolutely fine. The young lady who looked after us seemed to have everything under control and was very pleasant. The guy from Leeds during the day and evening seemed totally rushed off his feet and on his own... did everything he could to keep things running as smooth as possible. Obviously he couldn't be everywhere at the same time!

restaurant was dirty, all the tables and furniture were sticky and not cleaned properly. staff were indifferent at check in and at meals. breakfast was missing items advertised. tea and coffee were a bunch of tea bags and nescafe with an urn of hot water. very poor and a disappointment after visiting regularly over the last 4 years.

The room was good, bed comfortable and all was clean. However I wouldn't stay again because the breakfast was poor. A continental breakfast was just just cereals and mass produced brown or white bread/toast, no cheese or cold meats. The coffee was instant sachets! - I haven't experienced any comparable accomodation provider only offering instant coffee for breakfast. For the cost the standard should have been much better. The other thing I didn't like was the unnecessary amount of emails from expedia.

Good property ,very clean warm modern bedrooms , with the pub and restaurant next door , food was very good and room rate good value . The breakfast was very good as well , at a good price with an excellent choice of buffet and cold items, the cooked breakfast was excellent. Maybe unfortunately on the day the breakfast service was slow . Overall a good stay and I would stay again .

the room was clean and comfortable but the surrounding area was scruffy and neglected. unable to eat at the restaurant as when we checked in we were not informed that we needed to book this is a first
