Great and helpful staff, but really poor gym inadequate for the stars given, late check out was only extended to 1.00 pm breakfast was also on the limited side and finishes at 10.00 even on weekends- they seem very strict with timing- good location of hotel

Very low key and nice place conveniently located near red line and blue line MRT, in the “East side” area of Taipei. Sufficient and nothing fancy breakfast (it’s included with the room rate) but excellent staff and VERY courteous. Could use softer towels (haven’t upgraded in my last three stays) to make it ice cream on top. Has a bar and restaurant with room service which met my emergency hunger needs a couple of times. The gym needs some modernization if you need that type of accommodation. Very reasonable rate.

The staff was super helpful as I found out my iPad was somewhere at the airport soon after I checked in. They helped me call the airport and eventually the airline. I got my iPad back within the day. I’ve not stayed at a boutique hotel for a while but this one is really nice. There’s a happy hour time with complimentary food and drinks, and the minibar also complimentary. Hotel room is comfortable. Breakfast is good. Cute little gym.. the only thing missing is a swimming pool.

Great hotel, room and moistly friendly staff. However my three night stay was spoiled by both restaurants being closed on the same night for private events, leaving the only option to a very limited room service menu. The main draw to this hotel is the award winning restaurant and closing this to hotel paying guests is disrespectful.

Staff are friendly. Didn’t have a pleasant stay as we were bitten by bed bug. Feedback to hotel and was offer to change a room, however, it was smaller than our initial room. The hotel explained that the room size was the same but due to different layout, hence, we felt the room was smaller. I insisted to change to the same on type, hence, my requested was fulfilled with the staff help to move our belonging to the new room. No apology was given from the hotel on this. This was the thing that upset us a lot.

Could be just us, it was quite different to tell which are the exact switches for certain lights and also no specific switch for the fan of the bathroom. Plus the toilet bowl also didn’t smell well from the beginning.

Rooms are big. We had 1 bedroom with a king bed and 1 bedroom with twin beds. I asked for the 2 rooms to be near and was upgraded to a suite for the king bed. Both rooms are just as big. The size of the double beds are a bonus for my 2 6ft tall boys. Very clean, modern fittings in the bathroom. Convenient too. We enjoy walking. Love how we could get around on trains and also choose to walk to Taipei 101.

Customer service was excellent and all staff members were very friendly. The staff members took our luggages immediately upon arrival and brought our belongings straight to our room. They would constantly open lobby doors and taxi doors as we entered/exit. House keeping staffs ensured we had everything we needed and offered to bring us anything we needed as well. Friendly people, clean and quiet neighborhood, will revisit in the future.

My 2nd time staying at the property. It’s conveniently located with clean and modern rooms and facilities. Staffs are friendly and helpful as most Taiwanese are. However, I was turned off by the bar staff. A male staff complained I signed at where the room # should be on the receipt so he had to reprint and asked me to resign.. hate to say this, I have been to many high and low end hotels around the world.. this is my first to experience such treatment. Perhaps you can ask for room # when customer enters, this way you can check before hand.

Loved everything about the hotel. The comfort level of the bedroom, beds, pillows and linens were very good for the price. Location is very convenient, walkable to everywhere with good breakfast options nearby. All the hotel staff were super friendly and efficient, including the doormen, receptionists and housekeepers! HOWEVER I do think the Urban Cafe manager could be a little MORE friendly. She did not smile much and every time I tried to visit the cafe, she would yell at me to stop me JUST to verify my room number although I have been staying there for 7-8 days. I go to the cafe almost everyday, and it's as if she's stopping a criminal from entering the cafe. She could really learn how to customer service for guests that go there everyday, she could say Hi and learn my name for starters. Madison Hotel, Please train your cafe manager to be more friendly and polite for your future guests! She makes it quite unpleasant for your hotel guests!

Room is spacious and very well maintained. Booked a Deluxe King Room and requested for a crib for my kid. Crib was in room upon arrival. In the middle of 2 metro station and is about 10mins walk. Plenty of good option within walkable distance.

Really enjoyed the Madison. It’s located walking distance to the metros and neighborhoods without all the noise. The staff was very polite and helpful. They offer a nice breakfast for a reasonable price with good coffee. I would def stay there again on my next trip to Taipei

Excellent staff. The room was nice with a normal city street view. Easy walk to restaurants, markets and bus&train transportation. The included breakfast is standard but good enough. We had dinner at the Italian restaurant one evening and would rate it 3.5/5.0
