The Kana Kuta Hotel

Young staff, clearly still new in the hospitality industry, however friendly and mostly accommodating when asked. Sadly, there’s a slight smell of mould anywhere you go, including the room, sheets, towels. The hotel is too calm, it’s actually quite boring, no entertainment, and the same elevator music played the entire time we were there. The pool is nice but not that clean when you get up close, the pool loungers are dirty and crawling with tiny insects, there are ants everywhere, tables and loungers. The pool towels, if unused are left outside by staff for days until they smell rotten. Actually, even the room towels and sheets appear clean but don’t feel or smell fresh. We’d lose power in our rooms for a few seconds, several times a day. Only the rooms are air conditioned, not the halls or anything else, so i hope you enjoy the fruit at the breakfast buffet with plenty of fruit flies…MOST IMPORTANTLY, first night here on our honeymoon, my husband’s gold necklace was snatched violently off his neck by 2 people on a motorcycle just 500 meters from the hotel. Not the hotels fault (although they were completely unhelpful thereafter) a week here we realized that Kuta is the ghetto of Bali. Please be safe, no valuables, carry only what you need, and keep your phones close to you. Walk against traffic.

This place is immaculate with very attentive staff. The buffet breakfast was a good variety. We enjoyed swimming in the clean pool and gym

"The pool of the hotel was beautiful, and there were not many people, so I could have a relaxing time." All the buffet food I had for breakfast was delicious. The crepe was wonderful. I would like to stay at this hotel when I go to Bali again.

This is a decent good hotel, in the back of some abandoned buildings. Not really walkable to many areas, restaurants or the beach. But the hotel is clean, safe and there is a circle k nearby for drinks. The staff are very helpful, friendly, kind and courteous. The breakfast buffet was good and offered good variety while changing the breakfast content everyday. The pool and scenery of the hotel was very beautiful and relaxing. The pool was warm, empty and great for swimming. Me and my family had a wonderful experience here, thank you The Kana at Kuta Beach. The is also a good Chinese restaurant across from the hotel, that we finally found out about on our last night there. The only bad thing I can say about the hotel is that there is an abandoned building in the front of the hotel that isn’t appealing and the lunch and dinner at the hotel was not very good, other than that, it’s a fantastic hotel, and I have traveled to many places around the would and stayed at countless hotels. Just wanted you to know some pros and cons here. Also not very walkable to get around the area for sight seeing, you have to take transportation.

Being set back from the chaos of Kuta, it is a charming resort with a good restaurant. The pool is a great spot to soak in the tranquility. The rooms were simple but clean and the staff was lovely. Good spot for sure.

The food menu is small, but the quality is very good. This is a small, quiet hotel. It's perfect for family trips or a relaxing stay. It's also a great place for independent travelers. Grab taxis are available right inside the hotel, making it convenient for trips to the airport, Sanur Beach, and Kuta Beach. The surrounding area is a bit lacking in commercial areas.

The Kana in Kuta: A Comfortable Stay with a Few Quirks We recently spent 10 days at The Kana in Kuta with another family, staying in a family duplex. Here’s a summary of our experience. Highlights and Observations - Room and Amenities: The family duplex is quite small but spread over two stories. It includes a very small bathroom, but the beds are nice and it has all the necessary amenities. The view was not ideal, as it overlooked some run-down buildings with just a glimpse of the pool area. Despite this, we enjoyed our stay and found the room to be good value for the price. - Breakfast: The breakfast was simple and not very international. There were good pancakes and an egg station, along with a small selection of bread and pastries. However, there were no toppings except for butter and a jello-like jam, so it wasn't top-notch. - Dining: The restaurant was good enough for lunch and dinner, providing a convenient option for meals at the hotel. - Service: The staff were very nice and welcoming. The front desk was particularly service-minded and helpful, making our stay more pleasant. - Pool Area: We loved the pool area, which we had to ourselves almost all the time. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the sun. - Gym: The gym was a very small room, and unfortunately, the treadmill was out of order during our stay. Overall, we were quite happy with The Kana. While it wouldn’t qualify as a four-star hotel in Europe, it offered good value for money and a comfortable

Had a lovely stay at Kana, two weeks flew by. The staff were lovely and the food was exceptional at the hotel. Variety at breakfast was good, three live cooking stations were great and served excellent eggs and sweets, although I didn’t try the noodles. The room was basic but spacious, aircon was powerful, having bathroom toiletries was also welcome. The pool are was lovely and caught the sun until 5pm so was perfect.

Great staff, clean room, great breakfast, amazingly quiet. Blackout curtains, great AC with remote, lots of tv stations. Elevators, best staff. I was visiting someone at hospital nearby, convenient location. Great restaurant across the street named Dijon- healthy clean and good. Room service was fast and affordable. Pool is nice, gym is small. Staff is outstanding

Clean hotel, friendly staff. Aircon needs servicing, slow to cool the room. Towels condition are old.

The property is exactly as the brochures and pictures show. I will definitely recommend this hotel when visiting Kuta. Plenty of shopping and dining options close.

Clean nice food good staff

I have stayed here before because the hotel is so quiet. The rooms do need a little updating but they are clean and a good size. The staff here are amazing! They helped me celebrate my 60th birthday and really went out of there way to make my son’s homeschooling run smoothly by bringing his breakfast up to the room everyday. A big thank you to All the lovely staff especially the restaurant manager Sukayasa, Tati and Rani for helping out and making our stay perfect. See you all again soon.

Very friendly staff. Keen to help and advise. Gym equipment was old and didn’t work well. WiFi sometimes cut out intermittently. Would have liked to see an iron in the room and also a wall mounted clock or time on the default TV screen.

Stayed] for 2 nights and had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, well maintained and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the food was delicious. Would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend 100%

Only stayed a night as close to the airport and arrived in a late flight. Easy check in, my only issue was the air con wasn’t on when we arrived in the room. The room was so hot! And took forever to get cool.

The room is clean but very dated. The mattress is a bit lumpy but it was ok. Staff are friendly, accommodating and very friendly.

We stayed here for one night, it was great for a nights stay, the bedrooms and bathrooms could do with a slight revamp but still incredibly comfortable and big for a couple nights stay. The pool was lovely. The staff were excellent, so polite, so helpful and really friendly. We didn’t want to stay long in the business of Kuta, and I’d say for this property you need to get Taxis to most things, but it is near shops which was great.

발리에서의 마지막 날 공항에 가기 전 잠시 쉬기위해 이용했습니다. 운이 안좋았을지도 모르겠으나 주변 객실 투숙객들의 발자국 소리가 너무 크게 들렸고 의자 끄는 소리에 쉴 만하면 잠이 깰 수 밖에 없었습니다. 숙소 주변에는 아무것도 없습니다. 쿠타 번화가로 나가기 위해서는 택시나 바이크 등을 이용해야 했으나 발리의 교통체증이 심해 불편했습니다. 가격을 생각하면 이해하지 못할 바는 아닙니다.

This is the third time ive stayed at the Kana Kuta. This time i brang my parents with me and they were blown away by the exceptional service. The staff go above and beyond for you, they always left a nice note after they cleaned our rooms and always greeted us with a huge warm smile. I love the Kana and will only ever come back to this wonderful hotel!

The staff was so helpful and friendly. They were very personal and made you feel like they genuinely care. Everyone from the front desk to the young man who tried so hard to find me the right adapter so I could charge my phone, made us feel like true guests who The Kana Kuta really cared about. We highly recommend this hotel if you ever find yourself in Kuta, Bali, Indonesia!

DIKA was an excellent staff. He was always willing to assist with all of our needs. He kept great smile on his face and attitude toward everything. His professional definitely made our stay a memorable experience at this hotel. One down side was that airport pickup service was not made available upon our arrival even though our requesting email was sent a day prior like they requested. It was not a good start but hospitality exhibited by DIKA changed it all. Thank you!!

Veldig hyggelig og profesjonell stab. Veldig bra frokost. Behagelige solsenger ved bassenget. Vi var her tre netter før hjemreise. Fint med nærheten til flyplassen.Hotellet er en kort gåtur unna hovedgaten ned til kuta beach. Her er det mange restauranter på veien. Kuta beach shopping center ligger ved stranden.

Prima hotel voor een overnachting voor of na aankomst of vertrek vliegveld. Hotel ligt buiten het centrum, dus wanneer je naar het centrum/beach wil moet je een taxi neen.

L’hôtel aurait vraiment besoin d’un bon rafraîchissement ; en l’état, il ne mérite pas plus de 2 étoiles. Nous l’avions choisi pour notre dernière nuit à Bali, principalement pour sa proximité avec l’aéroport, mais finalement il est assez isolé et loin de tout pour sortir le soir. Autre point négatif : la circulation est catastrophique pour rejoindre la plage ou en revenir (il nous a fallu près d’une heure pour seulement 3 km). Les lits restent corrects et le petit-déjeuner aussi, ce qui est un point positif. Par contre, il y a des travaux tout autour de l’hôtel et la climatisation est vraiment très bruyante, ce qui nuit au confort général.

I enjoyed my stay at The Kana Kuta. Property is well kept and cleaned. Only issue was the location which was a little far from attractions and was quite difficult to walk in the area. Other than that, it was great overall.

Loved the location! Close to eateries. Next to Mal Galleria. Staff was helpful when needed. I did not sign up for breakfast buffett, but the spread looked good.

Very quiet, has a restaurant inside the hotel. 10 minutes walk to the shopping place and 15 minutes to the beach. Domino’s pizza and KFC is just one block away. Easy access to motor bikes.

It’s position is not the best but a $2 Grab ride will get you anywhere in Kuta. Good standard clean rooms with plenty of room. Rooms without balcony have a large outdoor balcony for all rooms to use. Restaurant has good breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Staff are fabulous. A convience store at beginning of driveway. Shopping centre opposite BIMC hospital only 400mtrs away. There are several restaurants within a 2 minute walk from the entry. Pool is very good with great comfy lounges. This was the first time I was able to read a book in comfort on their lounge's. The small bathrooms are something to get used to. Still a great place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle of the Kuta beach area.

I was very surprised with this place. We had a fantastic stay. The staff are amazing, the meal selection was decent and very tasty food. Accommodation was comfortable and clean.

This hotel has very price wise services. Location is convenient and the room size is reasonable. You get what you pay for it. The people were trying to be nice~ they have good breakfast buffet. But the hotel is more than 20years old fashion business hotel. So it must be very luxurious hotel back in then. But it seems pretty out of business. Not really well maintained so bathroom shower we had to call the service to fix as well as sewer. Dining area is open-ceiling fan is only existing next to swimming pool. So you can see lots of mosquitos are coming towards to you:) they have a mosquito spray in the room that you can use. Breakfast was delicious. But they charge extra if you order coffee; cappuccino, espresso and so on. The air conditioner was working well but the smell was not really great so we had to change to the other room that has windows. Overall I feel like 3.5stars

Staff were fantastic but their "fitness room" was pretty bare and the food was average, at best...nothing to write home about. No a la carte options for breakfast either its either 109,000 IDR for the buffet or nothing.

There was water logging in the shower area in our room which was causing a bad smell. The staff had to come and drain it. staff is very good. Breakfast was good but on second day they had nonoptipns for vegetarians. Everything supposed to be vegetarian had egg in it which is not considered vegetarian.
