I enjoyed my stay at Doric Eco Resort and Spa. It was very clean and luxurious with an excellent view of the temple. I used the spa facility and was very happy with my experience. A couple criticisms -- in certain respects it felt like price-gouging with how outrageously expensive things were, from meals, to items in the minibar, to the 18€ breakfast. I had a massage done and while the lady was extremely lovely it was not a very good quality massage, especially not for the price. Finally, while some of the staff were excellent, some of them were quite rude. The man at the reception desk (Daniele, I believe) had a not very pleasant attitude. When you are spending that kind of money, it's not a nice feeling to encounter rude staff.

The property itself is new and beautiful. You can tell it is maintained with care. The grounds are lush and it was fun to see the plants. The breakfast buffet was nice and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The staff at the main pool were also fantastic. We rented the larger villa which was such a treat. Having our own pool overlooking the valley was stunning. The AC worked great and we were very comfortable. My only complaint is for such an expensive hotel and rate for the villa, I would have expected bottled water to be included and replenished frequently.

The Doric is set in a peaceful area with beautiful views of the Valley of the Temples. It's stunning. If the weather had cooperated we would have sat out there to enjoy the view. There was no other area to lounge or relax. This is a real negative. The deor is hip but spartan. The rooms were very small and the bathroom even smaller. Very clean, comfortable beds. The bathroom was exceptionally tight with a shower that consisted of doors that folded into each other that would overflow unto the floor. The shower knobs took us forever to figure out how to use. I believe that style over function was the prerequisite. Staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast very substantial, tasty and beautifully presented. Service was good. The dining room has glass walls that takes advantage of the magnificent views.

Spotless and beautiful. The spectacular view across to Juno's temple is the USP, but the grounds of the hotel are also wonderful, full of flowers, herbs (which they use in the kitchen), and fruit trees (ditto) - lemon, orange, quince, prickly pears, vines, pistachios, almond blossoms. The food is incredible - wonderful fine dining menu and the best breakfast buffet I have encountered anywhere. The staff are lovely, friendly and attentive. We were well looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. A spectacular place to spend the last two nights of our honeymoon and we may have to return for an anniversary sometime!

Hotel is very close to the ruins 5miniute drive and you have views of the ruins from the hotel . The staff in the hotel are exceptional very helpful. Our room with a hot tub was simply amazing so spacious and great views from a patio area . Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful property - the photos don’t actually reflect how lovely the property is and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was enjoyable. While we loved the grounds, our room was a little disappointing. Specifically the bathroom - the shower was so small that 1) you can’t really fit in it and 2) the water goes everywhere. We did pick one of the less fancy rooms but still expected to have a usable bathroom. Still, we enjoyed our stay and loved the pool and beautiful views and lovely staff.

The hotel is an amazing location if you plan to visit Valley of the Temples as it is looks out over the Greek temples and is a short drive to the archeological park. They had lots of easy parking and the hotel is in a beautiful, peaceful location. We enjoyed eating at the hotel restaurant, where the food was delicious, and relaxing at the beautiful pool.

A very quiet and restful place. The view of the ruins is lovely. However, the hotel is isolated from the city centre. I feel a car is a must. Taxis from the hotel are easily available with reservation, but can quickly add to your cost. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Most amazing hotel, so beautiful with magical views of Juno! We stayed in a room with a pool and it was totally worth it to have own private spa with sunset views over the temples. The hotel is very modern, rooms well designed and comfortable and eco friendly. The gardens and grounds are stunning. Breakfast and dinner the very best we had in Sicily so far. So in short perfect hotel base to explore the Valley of the Temples and Agrigento! Agrigento is a must do for a Sicily visit!
