We expected small rooms for the price, but did not enjoy our window view out into a grey light well. Mattresses were very hard. The pool lacked natural light and was cold. Service and position are 10/10, but this is a place to sleep only.

the rooms are small, so if space isn't a problem then its no issues. The location is excellent. It's a simple accomodations. No frills. The fridge didnt work in my room, which was an essential in Singapore. The pool is in the shade so you cant really relax there as I hoped. It's a good average accomodation.

Very pleasant, helpful staff. Everywhere very clean. A few more Sun loungers needed round the pool area. Hotel so convenient for MRT station, local convenience stores and plenty of places to eat.

This hotel is so close to two MRT stations and buses which we found very convenient. It has a swimming pool and washing/dryer machines. We slept well once we had conquered the air conditioner thanks to the staff member who promptly came to adjust it and showed us how to use it. Room was cleaned daily.

In September 2025, we stayed at V Hotel Bencoolen in Singapore for 3 weeks. The hotel had friendly staff, hotel was very clean, and staff wad always present/ available at the front desk (I believe 24 hours all day). The room was very small but as expected/ also common for some Asian countries. Swimming pool and washing/ drying machines are on the 1st floor (front desk can change money for coins to be used for the machines). Next to hotel, there is a restaurant, not sure if it's part of the hotel since we didn't include breakfast with our stay but this restaurant offers a la carte menu and buffet option, the buffet changes menu on a regular basis (regular prices). Very convenient location and very safe location. The mass rapid transit (MRT)/ subway is almost next to the hotel so it was very, very, very convenient (no you can't hear the subway so this was great). Near the hotel there is an inside hawker center (a community place with several food stands/food court/food hall). There was 1 day when an investigation fire alarm rang several times, not sure what happened on the hotel but other than that day our stay at this hotel was great. We had a wonderful experience.

It’s a very well situated hotel almost next door to the Belconen downtown line metro station. It’s a very good 3 star hotel. The rooms ( I had) are small, so for 2 people with luggage would be very tight. Fine for solo. I used the lovely pool every day I was there. Staff are great.

The location is perfect. But the hotel was not well designed. The light switches are in very unhelpful places. The outlets are far from the bed. The shower floor tiles are very slippery. I enjoyed the pool but it was disruptive that there was a steady stream of people visiting the bathroom next to the pool to shower and some people laid out luggage all over the floor near the pool to use the laundry facilities. The elevators supposedly required room key to operate but the key wasn’t needed and it seemed like some people were entering hotel just to use the shower. Staff were very nice and everything was clean. But the hotel was not well designed. That said the location is excellent next to mrt station and walking distance to fort canning park and other sites.

廊下の音がかなり響く構造だったが、シングルユースが多いからかそれほど気にならず眠れた。ペットボトルの水はなく、浄水器付きの冷温ポットのようなものが設置されていたが、フィルター交換がされていないのか上手く作動せず、またうっすら埃も被っておりあまり清潔ではなかった。ただ、ベッドリネンやその他の設備は清潔で問題ないレベル。何よりも地下鉄すぐ横の立地が最高で、どこの観光地にも徒歩や地下鉄で行けアクセスが最高。雨季だったので急な雨が多く、日中ホテルに戻って休憩できるのもとても助かった。周囲も静かで治安も良く、スタッフも感じが良かった。数泊のシンガポール旅行であれば、観光を効率よく行い快適に過ごすのに最適なホテルだと思う。同価格帯のホテルの中ではおススメ、また宿泊したい。

MRT train just next door made it so easy to take our luggage (2checked,2carry on) via MRT Bencoolen to Airport Changi. Bathroom was not clean. Had single hair by the sink and the complimentary slippers were stained. Room was small, but we were outside most of the day; it didn’t matter

The location of the hotel is perfect. You have a MRT station within 20m of the Hotel and you get to all the sites within max. 20 minutes. Marina Bay is only a 30 min walk away. The staff was super friendly and very sweet to our little one. On our last day (after checkout) we were able to use the pool area to relax a little before our red-eye flight. The room itself is small as we already expected in Singapore. I was happy though, that there was enough space for one open suitcase. The first night seemed a bit noisy as you can hear some people in the hallway, doors shutting and the doorbells of nearby rooms. We and our little girl got used to them quickly though and the following nights were already blessed with more sleep. I had the feeling, that the bathroom hasn’t been cleaned much during our stay. To be fair it would’ve been difficult to wipe down the area with our toothbrushes and the rest of our stuff. Upon check out I glanced under the bed to make sure we didn’t forget anything and it seemed like it had not been cleaned in quite a while. The pool area was clean and to my surprise outside in between the two towers of the hotel. That way it was warm but shady and I didn’t have to worry about sunscreen. All in all we keep the staff in good memory and would definitely book it again.

Great location in Singapore with metro and bus right outside. We chose to mostly walk to our sight seeing destinations as everything we wanted to do was within half hour or so. Room was small and basic but clean with good housekeeping and a great hot shower with nice quality toiletries provided. The pool was nice too for a refreshing swim. What we particularly liked was the friendly and helpful staff. The room was ready for us even though we arrived early from the airport and we were given a late check out free of charge. The staff really made an effort to make us feel welcome during our stay.

Room was small but comfortable ,The staff are fabulous a special mention to Porters John and Shah who made our stay even more enjoyable ,We had a small incident with one of the breakfast cafe staff which the Hotel management quickly sorted out and were extremely apologetic even giving us a free room extension upon our checkout I highly recommend Hotel V although the rooms are small the entire staff including reception are amazing

The service at this property was really good, we arrived early and since we have a young child, the staff allowed us to check in to our room a few hours before the official time. The beds are quite firm, but the sheets are quite comfortable. The room is quite small, so we could only put down one large luggage bag on the floor. The Bathroom is also quite small, where you MAY need to open the shower door, just to sit on the toilet LOL. The location is great, right next door to Bencoolen MRT and around the corner from Bras Basah MRT Stations. There is a "Food Dynasty" Food Hall and a 7Eleven just down the street. Overall it was a good hotel and we would stay there again.

Hotel was very central and right next door to a money changer and convenience store. Subway and bus services within a minutes walk. Staff were extremely helpful, especially Henry who greeted us at the front door each time we returned. I would recommend this hotel to all travellers.

The hotel is right next to the MRT so you have access from the airport (during transit running hours). Also the MRT lines give you quick access to most things you want to see in the city as well as the hawker markets which are are a really good and inexpensive place to eat. Room was bigger than most we looked at in this price range but still pretty tight for 3 of us. Price was pretty good for Singapore (an expensive city).

Location is great, right beside Bencoolen MRT (blue line), and very short walk to Bras Basah MRT (orange line) and Dhoby Ghaut MRT (red line). There’s a bus stop just right ahead. The room is small, but good enough for 1 person to do solo stay. The mattress is very comfortable and the toilet is clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful too. I will definitely stay here again. And this hotel is around the cheapest for a 4-star hotel. Definitely will recommend. If you want a clean, convenient no-frills stay this is for you.

Positives first, genuinely located so well. Next door to mrt downtown line for easy access, and also directline to changi airport. Easy walk to little India. East bus to orchard road. Has a big swimming pool which was welcome (they should get rid of the 1990 lips sofa and repaint the area it looks grey and grim but would be lovely if they did that, has towels and loungers) and good lifts. Bathroom clean. However bed was a hard board, and room small (ok for 1 person) the smell in bathroom was horrible sort of sewage, and really dusty. breakfast is next door and was extremely poor. No juice, no yoghurt, 1 red jam, fruit is watermelon, or orange or apple is fruit choice. Eggs, beans and noodles I think. At least it’s air con. About the restaurant next door, the sister hotel has similar set up Mi Bencoolen hotel, but theirs was even worse, filthy and greasy disgusting place. Paid £100 a night.

Great location. Walkable or easy tube access to anywhere you might want to visit. Rooms a bit small but as you only sleep in them that’s not a problem. Excellent showers. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast not the best. No USB sockets in the room so bring your own adapter (British style sockets). Lots of cultural places to visit within walking distance. Very handy location for the Singapore Gran Prix🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️🏁

Hotel super bem localizado, tem uma estrutura boa, porém o quarto é bem pequeno, o banheiro também muito pequeno e (pelo menos o meu) não tinha box e molhava inteiro. O café da manhã é fora do hotel, ao lado num restaurante. Achei mais ou menos, em parte porque não gosto de café da manhã oriental. Poucas opções de café ao estilo brasileiro ou europeu.
